I first…read morefound Katy under Charizma Photography, and she returned my voicemail regarding a quiet courthouse wedding within hours (unlike days or never, like two others I tried). Katy assured me that she has shot hundreds of weddings, was married at the courthouse herself, and that we could easily get some beautiful photos at a non-wedding craziness rate. She was super personable on the phone and invited us to come by her studio to talk in person and see some of her work, which we did. We agreed on an hour for $300, including full digital rights, and she offered us an additional hour for $150, which we took her up on. Katy also volunteered that since her partner Tim was available, he would come along too to help with lighting and such. The day of, they came to our house as planned, followed us to the courthouse, and took us around town to some pre-selected spots (we asked for urban/industrial). They even had the perfect spot picked out to photograph the now-husband's car, on top of the Best Western's parking garage. Katy and Tim were both very laid back and fun to be around, but had tons of cameras and lighting equipment that they clearly knew how to use. They were also great at helping us pose in flattering ways, even when it seemed counter-intuitive (no dead hands allowed, chin down, kick a foot out, that kind of thing). When I asked, Katy told me that the photos would be available in 2-3 weeks (shorter than usual for a wedding, since this was more like an engagement shoot). Well, just 4 days after our wedding, the photos have arrived and I am BLOWN AWAY. Words cannot describe how incredible these pictures are. I am beyond thrilled to have such beautiful mementos of our day to share. I want to make an album, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be six inches thick to include every single photo, because they are all just that good. Seriously, this is far beyond the "decent snapshots" I told Katy I was after. We look relaxed, happy, and flattering, and I cannot wait to share the photos with everyone I know. If it's not already crystal clear, I would give Studio 708 a thousand stars if I could. If you need any kind of photography, give them a call. I promise it will be amazing!!!!

Would rate 5 out of 5 for past services (had them deliver a unit to my home a couple times before),…read morebut maybe a 1 or 2 out of 5 for home service now. They may be great for events, but their drivers do not communicate with the head office properly. One of the drivers contacted me (always calling at around 6:30 AM) a week before the pick up deadline (when they would start charging more) to see if it needed to be cleaned. I told him not to bother as it was barely used, but to make sure he comes and picks it up anytime before July 5th, as I didn't want to be charged any more. He said he would make a note of it and make sure he picked it up beforehand. Fast forward to July 3rd, and the driver leaves a message asking if he can "get at the unit for service." I called back and said that he can come and pick up the unit (not service it), but he said he was busy the rest of the day. I told him to make sure he picks it up as I don't want to be charged. So now I have a couple vehicles moved out of the way and into my back yard for about a week waiting on them to pick up the unit. Since by then it was past 28 days (driver fault, not mine) I get a couple additional charges. A few phone calls back and forth didn't solve anything. They blame me for not calling the office instead of talking to the driver who stated, "This is ____ from Pit-Stop Portables," and "I will make a note of it and make sure to pick up the unit before July 5th." They make it sound as if I am supposed to know that if a driver identifies themselves as the company and that they are taking care of it, that it doesn't mean the office has any idea about it. I am blamed for not also calling the office to tell them that the unit needs to be picked up. Now if the driver didn't say he was taking care of it, I surely would have called the office. They need to have better communication at this company bottom line. END OF STORY.

This past weekend was the third or fourth time we have used Packerland Portables to provide a…read moreportable unit for a small private ice fishing derby. They make it very easy to order and set things up over the phone. Everyone there is extremely polite and helpful. They drop off a unit for us at a boat launch at a different lake each year or so. This year they placed a unit at a lake near Coloma. An issue with the placement of the unit, which totally was my fault, required Bill to make a second trip out, re-locate a snow bank, be an ambassador to a local resident and move the unit late on a Friday after work. I'm really sorry about that. Bill said "all in a days work" but that was above and beyond in my opinion. I cannot stress enough how great, helpful, accommodating, service orientated and just fantastic Bill and the folks at Packerland Portables are. I recommend Packerland Portables to anyone in need of a portable unit!
