I love staying the Star Trek room! It feels like you really have been transported to the Enterprise. And Rik the Innkeeper is such a great host. He sources everything locally, from the soaps to the coffee, and you can get 7 Devils brews too! It's right on the 101 and by shops and restaurants. He even has charging stations for people. The room is always clean and comfy and there's a 420 friendly spot to smoke, right by Han Solo. As a fan of both Star Wars and STar Trek, I think it's really cool he made it the best of both worlds. Had a wonderful time at the Itty Bitty Inn. It is small, but very worth staying at. This place is a hidden gem! The owner and his daughter are incredibly friend, sweet, and helpful. The owner was kind enough to be patient with us when we arrived 10 minutes before closing for our room reservation during the pouring rain since traffic was worse than we expected on our road trip. He made us feel so welcome when he showed us into the 70's room which was super cute and detailed. It felt like being on the set of That 70's Show. The next morning, the owner had his daughter give me a free bar of artisanal soap from their lobby since they ran out of oatmeal cups for purchase which was a nice surprise. I would definitely go back! We might check out the Star Trek room next time. Also, each room is a work of art. It's incredible the amount of detail the owner puts into the art work for each room. This place has a real and unique character. You can really see the owners put their heart and soul into this place. Every room is themed and the amount of detail in keeping true to the theme is mind bending. From hand painted murals and Star Wars music playing in the parking lot they really go above and beyond. This two-star motel gets a 5 star Yelp rating! Note that the 'motel/hotel' star ratings are NOT equivalent to what a Yelp star rating is. In the United States, the 5 star hotel rating system means a no frills/basic accommodations all the way up to super duper luxury. Well, for a two star motel, these accommodations are anything but basic. The innkeeper is beyond adorbs and gave us a personalized 'tour' of our room (the tiki room), ensured our needs were met, and was just so freakin' sweet. The tiki room has two beds, and a small bathroom. It is clean and the shower had good pressure and nice hot water. Note that it is on a fairly busy street but I use a white noise device and didn't hear any road way noises. The Bridgeview coffee is AMAZING. WOW. We bought some to go. We really liked the inclusion of local businesses. This motel really is an experience versus just a place to crash for the night. read more

Rik the innkeeper is a true gem of the Coos Bay / North Bend Community! It's not hard to see why the Itty Bitty is the tall & mighty on Yelp (and pretty much any other site.) Rik called us while we were on the road to offer restaurant suggestions and to make sure we weren't lost. Once we arrived, he ground up some fresh Bridgeview coffee and offered to carry our bags into our room. The inn was established in 1959, so things are a bit on the small size (which you would expect with the name) and if you know that going in, you won't be disappointed. Tesla owners will be pleased to know that you can juice up here with no worries... and if you're into leases (aka alcoholic) beverages, Rik has you set up as well with a growler in your room and stuff on tap. They give you tea in the rooms too, and an assortment of books is available. If you're really adventurous, you can ask for a record player or Atari as well! read more

My first visit here a few days ago was totally by accident; my future visits will all be on purpose! A sweet little roadside inn with a delightful host and the most fun Star Trek themed room I have ever spent time in. Rik the innkeeper was gracious and welcoming, even though I turned up at the last minute, and made me feel like a very special guest rather than just one more person rolling through. I was greeted with a draft beer and a big smile and a tour of my room. Rik also called around to see which restaurants were still open at 9 PM and taking reservations, since my whole visit here was unplanned. What a lovely, clean, friendly inn, and I really should mention the bath towels... Much better quality than anywhere else I've had on my road trip so far. It's the little things... read more

My sister and I decided to take an "Old Fart Road Trip" (we are in our late 60s and early 70's'') I asked her if she wanted to go to a "Traditional Hotel" or something fun and unusual?' I sent her pictures of the Itty Bitty Inn....and it won! Rik, the Inn Keeper was great! We had a 12 hour drive from Sacramento,California, and he called to make sure we were ok and check on our ETA. The Inn is really cute, and definitely not the usual boring hotel. It is in a great location where we could walk to restaurants, and close to the freeway for day trips. The decor is lots of fun. We stayed in the Tiki Cha Cha room.(the only room with 2 beds) I forgot to mention that when my brother in law saw the pictures of the Inn, he decided he wanted to join us. Three adults in one room was at times challenging, BUT we had a great trip. Will definitely visit again. read more

We were here for our 50th Wedding Anniversary and just got back from spending the night for our 56th Wedding Anniversary. We couldn't think of a nicer, cleaner or more reasonably priced Inn than the Itty Bitty. The themed rooms are just fun and comfy. Rik the Manager goes out of his way to be helpful and accommodating. He has a great personality and is very knowledgeable of the area and where the best restaurants are. We really enjoyed our stay...and who knows we might even be back for our 60th Wedding Anniversary. read more

We booked the Star Trek room from here, and I'm glad we did! The room was decorated in the theme of the original Star Trek show. There were lots of fun props and Easter eggs in the room as well. We played with everything including the hidden phaser. We watched an episode of the original show, listened to Leonard Nimoy on record, and looked for all the hidden gems. Yes, the rooms are themed, but this isn't Disneyland, where "themed" experiences are part of a bland, impersonal brand-experience... This is you stepping inside the mind of the owner, his aesthetic and it's worth it... The rooms are comfortable, very clean and well-maintained, but also with a personal touch, similar to a B&B... For some unknown reason, I checked out the Itty Bitty Inn. I'm super happy that I did. Although you couldn't tell from the outside, these are the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in at any hotel, regardless of the price of the room. The rooms are very cozy and comfy. The bed was comfortable and the furniture was nice. I love how the coffee, oatmeal, and even the soaps are locally made. There are even growlers in the room so that guests can walk across the street to the market and choose a brew or two from the 40 on tap. Of course that's exactly what I did. Overall, the room is very homey. The owner, Rick, is very welcoming and friendly...and I almost forgot to mention that the prices are great! Highly recommended! read more

The husband and I recently stayed there for four nights in the 70's room and here is what I have to say: Rick, the owner, is very nice and helpful. He has a lot of energy. The room was still being cleaned upon our arrival, after check-in time, which made it slightly awkward, but it was fine. The room was very cute and cozy, so you'd best like who you are there with! It's not going to be the quiestest place you've ever stayed, as it is right on the highway and the walls are fairly thin, but for the price, you cannot beat it. Room Itself: Clean, comfortable, cozy. We had the "Oregon Trail" room and it had all the essentials. The price is RIDICULOUSLY affordable and inexpensive for the accommodations that you are getting. The host/owner/innkeeper, Rick, is friendly, helpful, and just a genuine person. The inn is located within 5 min walking distance from a couple restaurants and taverns, and you are able to get a great price on a growler fill of beer. The motel emphasizes highlighting local products, such as coffee and soap. Will definitely want to come back. read more

Itty Bitty Inn is the best AirBnB that we have ever stayed in. Rik was friendly and welcoming and gave us good recommendations for places to eat. He also offered to drop us off at a bar, if we needed. Our room was cute, clean, and comfortable and we enjoyed the small touches like handmade soap, teas, and the well executed theme. The growler was much appreciated and we enjoyed root beer and cider from the growler station across the street (they also had great donuts). We bought one to take with us and have had several other opportunities to fill it with drinks on the road. We loved staying here and hope to return! The wall candles turned themselves on a few times, so there may be a friendly ghost, but they seemed just as helpful as Rik in making sure the ambiance was spot on. read more

Wow! I stay at a lot of hotels and this was much more than any 5 star hotel I have stayed at. It was a museum, it was culture, it was some of my favorite characters! Speaking of characters, Rik, the owner was the most hospitable host I ever ran across. This place is AMAZING! From the details in the decor to Rik, the innkeeper, everything about this place was absolutely amazing! We had two rooms - the Tiki room and the 70s room - and the attention to detail was insane. Forget about the typical boring hotels, this one had everything to make you feel like you were truly in another place. From the glassware to the bedding to the lights to the kettle and more - even a record player (with era records of course) and DVDs of 70s movies - so many details! We rented the Atari, which totally took me back to my youth, and my kids got an absolute kick out of it! Rik greeted us and chatted as if we'd been friends forever - he made us feel so incredibly welcome, and even had the cranberry cider on tap for us! Yes, they have beers on tap (complimentary half-pints! SCORE!). Rik is knowledgeable and offered great dining ideas. I honestly can't say enough good things about the Itty Bitty Inn and Rik. Would I stay here again? You're damn right I would! 20 out of 10 stars! read more

So I'm visiting my father here at the coast while he and his wife are in his motor home and my wife and I found the itty bitty hotel here on yelp. First off Ric is a bundle of energy and good dude. He greeted us with a couple glasses of some incredible cider before leading us to our tiki themed room which was immaculate and super cool. He has some great apparel trinkets, coffee , and other items for sale. We had to buy some coffee after trying it in the morning. Everything about this place is amazing, we had more than just a "hotel" experience, we had a beautiful nights stay. When you stay here you feel more like a guest at a family home. I can't say enough great things about the Itty Bitty hotel and Ric who took great care of us. A throwback to a different time when people respected each other and were at peace. In a time of covid and dwindling resources and quality, this was a breath of fresh air. Clean room. When was the last time you stayed in a clean room? Good night's sleep on a bamboo mattress. When was the last time you got a good night sleep at a motel? I got a full 7 hours sleep without interruption for the first time in 6 months and woke up refreshed and ready to go by 7 am. I have chronic debilitating back pain and woke up without back pain for the first time in a long time. Rik is a fine host too. You'll see for yourself and remember what it is like for yourself. On first sight we were captivated by the fun outward appearance of the Itty Bitty Hotel's mid-century modern appearance, but a four-star hotel it is not! As we registered we asked where to get ice and we were told we could buy it at the grocery store across the street! I don't think I've ever stayed anywhere where they didn't provide ice! They do have a small refrigerator in the room with a freezer section, but no ice trays! The room's bedding was unremarkable. The bed was as hard as the floor and the pillows were aged and flat. They offer a sliver of lovely handmade soap, but it is literally only about 1"X1.5" in size. There also was no soap for the shower. At the end of the first day we returned from sightseeing to find our room wasn't serviced. We were told by the proprietor that they only turn the rooms every other day! I asked about fresh towels and he said usually people use them for two days! (Um what?) We didn't get fresh coffee cups either! The wifi here is sketchy and the hotel is right against Highway 101, so lots of road noise. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. read more

We stayed in room 1 which was a tiki themed room. Everything was clean and cozy and it felt very homey. We filled our growler in the room with the cranberry cider they had on tap at the front desk.
