Get it…read more This University is up in the bougie North suburbs of San Antonio and close to some pretty cool things like Six Flags and the La Cantera mall, and some good bubble tea shops and food spots. Unfortunately the Singh's truck moved away and opened up a restaurant, with probably the coolest thing to eat in this area. Still it's a big expensive and extensive campus with some cool people going here.

Plus the busses that actually do transport people from parking spots are PACKED! Its like a sardine can and make the people in India afraid of how crammed they are. All UTSA cares about is money and treat you like a number.

The price is very cheap, and you get in district rates if you live in Kerrville unlike how ACC is Fredericksburg operates, which saves you a lot of money for the few classes you can take here. If you're trying to power through college, you should skip this place as you likely won't be able to take a full 4 - 5 classes for more than 1 semester if even that. If you're just interested in getting your feet wet in the college world though, it's a good starter college and the staff will help you out a lot more than other universities imo.

When I was attending, the construction was so bad on the roads I popped a tire on a rock and was stranded for 4 hours. Professors are absolutely terrible. They are condescending and rude. The course work is absolutely ridiculous across majors, a lot of professors don't clearly define projects but then grade you as if they did. Healthcare Administration program professors mock students and spread misinformation, try to make students fearful of their future careers and financial courses are useless to the job, an old man talking about his "knowledge" about healthcare finances. Required reading: the book he wrote. Project management course, I worked on a commercial for the school, professor took off points because she didn't like the commercial and said it wasn't "relevant" to healthcare administration because I didn't include stock images of an administrative job. I had to call professors out regularly for their unethical and insufficient grading. All of this during my two years there, and I had at least two professors openly mock me as if I was dumb. The last straw was them telling me to work 40 hour weeks in residency that I had to secure from their "approved list" with no pay or promise of a job in the end. Changed my major the next week. One professor told me I would be "working at McDonald's" if I changed my major and another mocked a response I had to the lesson in a sarcastic tone both in front of the class. I felt totally embarrassed and absolutely alone, overworked and overwhelmed while attending this school. I wish I could get my money and time back from this university, but in the very least have my degree that I worked so hard for. One psychology History & Theory course in particular held me back from graduating because professor gave over 100 assignments during the semester and took off points because she didn't agree with your opinions, on opinion based assignments. Begged her and asked what I could do to bring my grade up multiple times during the semester and she refused consistently and failed me in the end. Tail end of COVID. $1000 to retake the course. I spent more time trying explain myself to these professors than I ever should have as a college student, it's their job to grade properly and set students up for success, instead they use their position to bully students. They withheld my degree over this one class and the professor has been poorly reviewed for years! Over 120 credit hours earned and thousands of dollars, please send me my diploma!

They informed the parents that we no longer needed to keep close tabs on our children cause, and I quote "they got it" and that they would keep a close eye on the students to make sure they were adjusting well to leaving home. They said the teachers and staff would keep an eye for changes in grades and personality, well that did not happen, at least not to us. It started with poor wifi connection for the students with glitches in their system that caused assessments to get lost. My kid was a straight A student and by the end of the semester she had low Cs and and a F. Needless to say, I was shocked. I know that most of the blame lays on my kid but I wish the school would of reached out to my kid to see what's going on. Now we're struggling with getting the grades up and trying to not lose her scholarship. Praying we don't cause if she does, we will have to drop out.
