Definitely a trap for those with a sweet tooth. Located inside the American Dream Mall, close to the water park and the Nickelodeon theme park. Because, you know, that's just what kids (of all ages) need after a day at a couple of indoor parks. Big selection of all the standard favorites, Hershey, Reese's etc. Novelty items, other candy items. Cool displays made of candy. Fun spot to check out.
Conveniently located inside American mall.. fantastic, decorations, and ambience.. just love their entrance, which Statue of Liberty and it's surely a photo op place . Parking in the small is a big headache and also time-consuming, especially on weekends and peak hours... the mall is slightly away from South Jersey and Central Jersey within an hour drive.. It's still worth a visit once in six months... This place has wide variety of all chocolate candies, and gummy's .. kids really go crazy looking at different flavors of chocolates which you generally don't get outside.. there are some weird ones too like the urine chocolate.. a slightly pricey, but it's OK once in a while... service could be better.. billing was quick.. really a nice place to visit if you go to the American dream mall.. good experience overall.. 4 stars .
If you've never seen a 3-story tall replica of the Statue of Liberty covered in jelly beans--well, here's your chance! I did a double take when I took a closer look at the little multicolored globules of sugar on this statue's surface. Someone spent a lot of time glueing. The inside of this giant candy store is filled with packages and containers of sugary candies, snacks, and candy-related paraphernalia. There is an entire floor of candy by the pound, another floor with dedicated displays to specific candies. Since it was Easter weekend I took a photo of the large yellow peep in all its sweet puffy glory. As other reviews have mentioned they carry a number of candies that aren't as commonly found though overall prices are higher than your average supermarket. The three floors of the store are connected by stairs and also an elevator. Location of the store is in the B wing of the mall, directly next to the Dreamworks water park, and across for the Nickelodeon Universe theme park.
Love the enormous selection - however tgey do not have a big assortment of "sugar free" items. I wish they had more! I'm diabetic. I do love the great novelty items and candy from my childhood! We had a lot of fun browsing and taking photos!
This place is a cavity's heaven! It's a 3 story candy land with an Oreo Cafe on level 2. They have a large selection of Oreo types and flavors. Candy by the pound and candies you don't find often in stores anymore.
Three floors of fun! Top floor includes the Oreo Cafe, bottom floor has the select-your-own candy bins. My favorite part was the Haribo section on the second floor (the pillows were really cute). I'm always on the search for Haribo gummies that have no color/dyes, so it was great to have found some here. Two thumbs up!
Sweet tooth galore, such a fun spot to get different kinds of candies, chocolates, and gummies, definitely a real life "Candy Land.."
Lol, making that three letters, which equals three stories of IT'Sugar. I honestly don't know where to start, but this candy, snack, and clothing is the overall take. The selections are endless with a lot to offer, with a majority of candy in boxes and also bins that can be put in a bag. You name it, most likely they'll have it. That's covering the 1st and 2nd floor. The 3rd floor has more of it as well but in addition to oreo products and even a cafe, which includes ice cream and milkshakes as the main offerings. Be prepared to have quite an experience, especially as a first-time visitor. Service is great and will also be very busy.
Lots of candy, including classics, new stuff, and an Oreo Cafe on the 3rd floor. While not enthused at seeing kids poking their hands into and sampling the candies, the store clerks were too few to cover the whole area. You did get a lot of flavors and types of candy that weren't readily available elsewheres, and that was fun to look and remark at. Including the jelly bean entry (glued on, so don't eat those), a giant mile-long sweet candy necklace in a box, lovely lollipop display. The crystal candies were all broken up - not a great seller, I guess. They also have some clothing, small toys, and a number of fun prank stuff. All overpriced, but it is a giant expensive mall for tourists. About $16/lbs for mix-match candy. Obviously if you're buying certain candies, I'm not sure that's the best way to use the per pound- there's also a box you can fill for $15ish (as long as it closes) and try to stuff that way, but it's likely just under a pound for most candies. Having it beside the Nickelodeon fun park = lots of sugar-hyped kids.
Awesome place! A little pricier than I would have liked. 3 floors inside the American dream mall. Lots of old stuff and new stuff, brought back some nostalgia.
We always have fun coming here! There are so many options to choose from, the possibilities are endless. Every visit makes you feel like a kid again. The vibes here are fun and lighthearted. They even have fun and quirky candies that add to the whole experience. I love coming back here to try something new each time. Their treats also make great gifts. Plus, the candy and jelly bean statues are absolutely amazing! The staff are always friendly and helpful.
It's a 3 story candy store, who doesn't LOVE candy! I came here mostly for the Oreo Cafe on the 3rd level, but of course my kiddos wanted to look around. Let me just say that when I was a kid I LOVED these types of candy stores in the mall, and this one took the concept all the way. There is 3 levels of candy and novelty items with every type of candy you can imagine. If I didn't have the kiddos with me I would have had more time to look around. I'll definitely stop here again in the future and explore a little more!
OMG! This store is just that "sugar"! All of your favorite candy in one big 3 story store. A sweet tooth fix of massive proportions! A dentists nightmare or vision of future income. A diabetic's spiraling fall into the abyss. A favorite for both the kids and the kid in the adult body we live in. LOL! Lots of old time favorites as well as all the new sweet craves. There is an Oreo Cafe upstairs as well. Just imagine a huge box of Skittles, starburst or Jelly Belly jellybeans right at your fingertips! Oh and parents, by now you should know better than to have your children touch the binned candy with their hands as you tell them to take just one!!!! Yuck factor overload. So it's just like when you were a kid sharing all your germs with your friends, and their friends.. just go and enjoy the sealed goodies!
It's Sugar!!!! What more can you want and yay so fun! This 3 story, 22,000 sq ft candy department store is so unique it contains over 10,000 types of sweets. Over 5,000 bulk sq feet of bulk bins to mix and match of all different kinds of sweets you can buy by weight! There is a towering "Statue of Liberty" 3 story replica covered in 1.5 million Jelly Belly Jelly beans. There is a lollipop garden centerpiece with close to 10,000 decorative lollipops! There are themed areas in the store such as a sour patch kids theme, needs, starburst and of course Reese's. There is a dedicated section that has candy from various countries around the world. Lot's of novelties, retro novelties, gifts and even needoh's and other popular items can be found like Pokémon candy. The ambience you may feel can be similar to a modern day Willy Wonka factory with lot's of bright eye catching colors. Kids of every age will enjoy this fun store it's beautiful and unique and should not be missed when you visit American Dream. It's Sugar but more it's an experience that has you leaving with a smile on your face and in your heart! Wow. What a candy store! Two floors of candy. You have to enter and exit thru the first floor at the moment as the store is not complete yet I believe. It looks like there will be a third floor but it was not open on my first visit. The first floor has the candy in sections, gummy, chocolate, etc. They also have international candy too! They also have the option of candy by weight. They are in containers and you use a scooper to fill a plastic bag. They had sour coke gummies which is hard to find. The second floor has a Pez section which also had collectible pez collectors for sale. There's also shirts as well. I found some old school candy as well which I haven't seen in years. They had whatchamacallits which I haven't seen in a really long time. I'm definitely stopping in to satisfy the sugar tooth in me. read more
This is one of the bigger Its Sugar store around the area. Definitely take a visit here if you go to the mall, as they have a great selection of candy and fan favorites. 4 stars because they do have the "amusement park" prices. read more

It's Sugar at American Dream is a fantasy land of candy! Of course, since this is the American Dream location, the store has a beyond huge selection of treats. Much like the rest of this mall, it is also selfie-ready with a huge display made entirely of candy. It's a fun place to check out if you're in the mall but definitely not somewhere I'd go just to buy candy as it is kinda pricey. read more

I'm giving "It's Sugar" five stars because it has the largest variety of sugar treats I have ever seen. The store has three floors that feature candies that can be bought by the pound like rum raisin chocolate balls. The largest candy necklass at 5.280 feet is on display, as well as, a ceiling high piller of jelly beans of all flavors. M&Ms, Reece's Peanutbutter Cups in various sizes and Milkyway chocolates in unique packages are also available among other offerings. The second floor has international candy with an emphasis on Japanese candys and drinks. Here you will also find novelty items, T-shirts with candy related themes and signage. I also found heritage candirs like "Pez" and Dots. The third floor features the "Oreo Bar" which has a dining area and a large ice Cream fountain where you can create own ice cream treat. They also have a large selection of "Oreo" novelity accessories. There are too many candy treats to mention but I can say that "It's Sugar" will amaze you with it's selections under one roof. read more
WHOA. A three floor candy store? Yes, please. Seriously, just about any kind of candy there is is sold here. Not only that but they also have t-shirts, toys, and M&M cosmetic bags. They even have a Statue of Liberty made out of jelly beans. (If you're a Jelly Belly fan, put this place on your bucket list.) Check it out. read more
One of the best candy store's I've ever been too. It's 3 floors - although the third floor isn't finished yet. They literally have just about every candy that's ever existed from old school items to newer items. They have everything mini - which is awesome because it's always better mini. The store itself is beautiful and it almost feels like you're in Willy Wonka's factory with all the life size jelly bean made items! The decor is also pretty cool. We were amazed and it was beautiful. They also had some really neat items that I have never seen elsewhere! I think they have another store at Foxwoods MGM - and I have bought stuff from that store as well. They have a bunch of neat little things and world records such as the longest candy necklace and the largest chocolate egg. Very interesting place! They also have like A Container full of expensive apex dispensers some worth tens of thousands of dollars! Cool! My only two complaints were the staff wasn't friendly or helpful at all. I couldn't even find a staff member when looking and the prices were a bit on the high side. I spent $70 and I've already run out of candy! It should have lasted me longer. It's the weighted candy that's really expensive! Otherwise the prices weren't as bad as I had anticipated. We will DEFINITELY be back! read more
In a word. "GINORMOUS"! This place is the go to store for everything candy and then some. A huge selection of favorites and other cool candy related items. Shirts, mugs, toys, stuffed pillows etc. the staff is friendly and helpful. Bring your $$. It's expensive. read more

A Pennsylvanian like myself was overwhelmed with astonishment when I first laid my eyes on this store. The mall itself is a world of its own, but this candy store kicked my boredom to the moon. The entrance, which was made up of somewhere around one million jelly beans, was depressing if I'm being honest. What a waste of nutritious food! But with this being New Jersey, you have to be a heart surgeon in order to afford anything. I'll be back... when my buddy Pasi's good college friend begins his run for Sandwich President of Mahwah in 2037. read more

This store is pretty neat! We are adults and had a bunch of fun just walking around. Currently only two of three levels are open. The candy is pricey. Note: American Dream mall is not something we like. This review is only about the candy store. read more

I mostly came here for the Oreo Cafe on the third floor. They are a bit pricey, but judging from the lines they could up the price and still be fine. They make a good waffle and their cold brew is also pretty tasty. read more

Almost exactly what you'd expect. Tons of candy of all shapes and sizes throughout the store. My only suggestion is to place the erotic candy in its own section away from the eyes of children. read more
