So I can say it wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't the beat Sushi I have had. I would go back for sure as the service was good, minus my coworkers chicken dish took forever to come out, as we kept having to check on it. The Uni was definitely not a bad batch as it had a sweetness and creamy texture that I would expect. Amaebi was not the larger shrimp with the fried heads, so not what I was expecting. As for the Natto Rolls, I could tell you that our young waitress made a surprising face, which made me laugh, as I could tell she was from Japan, as I was told not many Japanese even eat Natto. Of course I had to ask later and she is not a fan. Hahaha... I enjoyed it though. Enjoy.

Plenty of wait staff who were quite attentive, including some who were preparing table side shabu shabu (cooking thinly sliced meat and veggies in a broth). I ordered their ten piece nigiri (17 GBP), grilled miso black cod (12 GBP), and salmon belly age dashi (cooked lightly in a daikon soy based sauce) (7 GBP). All were excellent including with fresh not powdered wasabi root. Super affordable, high quality with great service -- what's not to like!

Bathrooms also clean. Servers are very friendly and service was quick. There is a 12.5% service charge that is automatically added to the bill, but you can ask for it to be removed.

To begin, we shared a bottle of Plum Wine and ordered multiple orders of sushi. We had Spider rolls, California rolls, salmon rolls, spicy salmon a Kama roll, a bento box with teriyaki chicken, a prawn tempura roll, a spicy tuna roll, miso soup, edamame, seafood shumai, chicken curry, deep fried veggie spring rolls, and eel teriyaki. Most of the above items were good with the following notes: I have the shumai regularly in the USA at reputable sushi restaurants and love the shrimp shumai better that these seafood shumai which appears to be a mixture of seafood in a salad form. They didn't taste good at all and weren't very appetizing. The Tuna in the Tuna Roll was an unpleasant dark gray color which I've never seen in Tuna Sushi dishes in the past (usually a brighter reddish color). Maybe it's from a different part of the fish but it sure looks unappetizing and the taste was bland. We didn't finish these. I had to remove stars for the following reasons: 1. A piece of metal in the chicken karrage that was curled up like it came off a wire rack cleaning brush or something. 2. Grisly chicken sent back as unedible by one of my companions 3. The above mentioned unappetizing dishes We complained about the metal piece found in the chicken to the waiter and he brought the manager over who apologized profusely and came back and said he spoke with the chef about this. The manager offered to replace the dish and my companion said no as she was now scared to try any other food from here. The manager ended up comping the bottle of Plum Wine and her damaged food dish. In retrospect, he should've comped us the entire meal. This was not an acceptable occurrence and could've ended up much worse had my companion not seen the piece of metal before consuming the chicken. I hope this is a one off situation and never happens to anyone else.

It's definitely non-traditional temaki, with inclusions like croutons, lemon, and lettuce into their sushi cones, but the flavours come together very nicely! It's also nice to see that the fish they use is all sustainably sourced! Will continue to order from Yoobi in the future.

A year on and my review needs an update!…read more I come here as often as I can. This is not as often as I would like to. If I could eat here a couple times a week, I would. Yoobi is my favorite! They've started offering table service in the evening which is sometimes a bit awkward, but generally pretty good. The food remains, as ever, delicious. 20 hour cured salmon with the pear slices = delightful. My standard order is some variation including the spicy tuna (which, depending on who mixed up the spicy sauce on that day can be warmly spicy or blow your head off awesome) and the citrus salmon. Citrus salmon is decidedly my favorite temaki offering. It's bright and fresh and light and just delicious. I have once had the special king crab California roll temaki, and it was super yummy, but that one is just a touch pricey for my wallet to be eating on regular basis when I am perfectly happy with the amazing salmon options. Giant handrolls, friendly service, and it's easy to fill up a stamp card if you come even sort-of often! So so good.
