All of the trainers are volunteers, most have been teaching for many years. It is very obvious that training us humans and our furry companions is their passion. During each class we had a primary trainer and 1 or 2 supporting assistants. This was amazing as their 1 trainer/assistant per 3 or 4 dogs was helpful during the exercises because we always received 1 on 1 tips/advice. I noticed in the reviews comments about the arena being hot during the summer....yes, during mid-summer it gets warm as there is no AC....this isn't a big corporation out to make a profit, this place is all dog-loving volunteers. However, even during really warm August days, there were many fans and we were encouraged to take water breaks as often as needed. If you have medical concerns, then taking classes September through May could be a great option, as their classes are year round. Another reason I specifically chose this club is that they offer more than just obedience training, which will allow my dog to continue to grow and learn in a friendly and now well-known environment. Thank you to Alysha, Sarah and Aria for the great classes! Happy to have graduated from Obedience Level 1.

Our puppy is still young but she improved over the 5 week class - we are signed up for additional classes, hopefully the learning continues! The staff has been able to handle our dog, and other dogs, with authority and was able to get the dogs to obey very well. Cons: parking sucks. Website seems old but manageable. When it's hot outside, it's miserably hot inside the BOTC. Pros: you can purchase leather leashes for cheap! BOTC is inexpensive compared to other training but cost doesn't seem to impact quality. No frills, but solid training and very helpful staff.

This last time wasn't just bad but scary. Got a call that she was ready to be picked up but when I got there the Person at the counter said she wasn't there. She didn't see her in the system and said "someone must have picked her up." Now concerned, I pressed and asked "who" picked her up - she kept looking at the computer screen and shook her head - couldn't answer. Sensing my rising concern and frustration she suggested that perhaps my dog was at a different location and that I could be in the wrong place. "NO", I said, "I just dropped her off here two hours ago, where is my dog?!" Person went to get someone else from an office who couldn't be bothered with my concerns and sent the Person to "go look for" my dog. Person was heard in the back talking to someone else about what a jerk I was being. Long story-short, they finally found my dog but couldn't understand why I was so upset. The groomer finally came out and stared at me like I had three-heads. I grabbed the leash and asked that management call me - didn't happen. I Emailed three days later asking to have an owner call me to discuss and so that I could also pay my bill (I had inadvertently left without paying) and it's now 5 more days later and nobody has reached out. Anyone have a recommendation for a good groomer?
