All said and done, breakfast for one came to $32.28, which is pretty steep especially for a place where you order at the counter and find your own table. That said, the quality is consistently excellent. The ingredients are fresh, everything tastes great, and I always enjoy my meal and overall experience at Urth Caffe. If the prices were a bit more reasonable (and the crowds a little smaller), this would easily be a five star spot for me. Instead of sticking with one base, we combined açaí, agave coconut, and pitaya. From there, we added strawberry, banana, mango, pineapple, blueberries, paçoca, granola, almond granola, honey, and agave. If you like customizing your bowls, there's a lot to work with here. We also tried the Pitaya Passion Smoothie, which combines strawberry, pineapple, passion fruit, pitaya base, and mango juice. One thing I didn't initially associate with an açaí shop was empanadas, so we went savory and ordered both the beef and chicken empanadas as well. It made the order feel like more than just stopping in for a bowl or smoothie. Overall, Ubatuba gives you plenty of choices, especially if you want to mix different bases, fruits, and toppings rather than ordering the same açaí combination every time.
