I signed up to be an artist ( photographer) here and paid a couple months. Then I over hear (…read morewasn't informed) that they will be having an "artist in residency" a fancy way of saying someone will be living, perhaps illegally, in the studio. How is this professional? And not to even inform me. And to make matters worse, there is only one area where I can shoot where I can control the light which is where this person will be sleeping and living. There's a larger area I could have done my shooting if I wanted to move tables and chairs and easels but it has windows that allow light in and all though they said they would put some covers up, that never happened. Lastly, I referred figure model artists to the owner at her request..she acknowledged she got the email from my model friend but the owner never had the courtesy to reply. The owner said " they were having trouble connecting" this embarrassed me because it made me look flaky. How hard is it to send an email saying " thank you but not at this time"? I had to ask for a receipt for my rent. Got one, not the other. I never signed a thing, no accountability for either party. I had to ask that they build a Google calendar for artists to use. This just isn't a serious business. It's a hobby. This is a cool place that draws some great people/ artists....but alas the professionalism is non existent.

I was also keenly aware of the support and encouragement the artists gave to each other. Whatever your skill level, this is a great place to draw and if you like, get some feedback on your work and observe others' work as well. It was a pleasure working with Chandler. She made me feel comfortable from the start and I very much appreciate her inviting me to pose for her group. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to do so again.

The vibe was so positive and welcoming, making it the perfect place to hang out with friends, get creative, and just have fun! We made custom phone charms, and it was so much fun sifting through all the beads and picking out pieces that fit each of our personalities. I especially love that this is such a wholesome, fun thing to do with your friends when you want to get out of the house and socialize without having to go to a bar or make the night all about drinking. It's such a fun way to actually spend quality time together and make something you get to take home! The event was such a great experience, with amazing food, the cutest swag bags, and the yummiest little mocktails! I would absolutely come back again, and I'd even highly consider hosting a private event here with my friends and family. Such a cute local shop and such a fun experience!

I attend the open sewing classes when I get hung up or need an extra push to finish a project. I also took the Classic shirt class, which I believe was very informative, I wish I would have taken more notes. All class are a very welcoming environment for whatever level you are at. On the other reviewer's 1 star rating for missing your class is your own fault and the website isn't secretive about the cancelation policy. Unfortunately, my young daughter's sewing class was scheduled during the Christmas holiday, and…read morewith school being out and everything that comes with the holidays, I completely missed the class. As a single mother juggling holiday responsibilities, it was an honest mistake. I contacted the school immediately, hoping they would allow her to attend another class, but I was told she would have to pay another $180 to make up the one she missed. What disappointed me most wasn't the policy itself--it was the complete lack of understanding or flexibility. This class was a Christmas gift for my daughter, and there was no attempt to work with us or offer any reasonable solution. I also believe this situation could have been avoided altogether if the school had a better reminder system. A simple text message, email, or automated reminder before class would help prevent situations like this, especially during busy holiday periods. I hope they consider improving both their customer service and communication so other families don't have the same experience

It's very clean (the staff is constantly walking around, picking up abandoned toys, sweeping and wiping the tables) and has various walled-in play areas suited for kids of different ages ages. For occasional visitors, it's $8.50 per child and zero for adult companions - which is a great price if you plan on spending more than an hour or two. Memberships are available. One section is carpeted with thick padding and vinyl covered foam "pillows" in various shapes for infants and young toddlers. The large central play area has low fiberglass climbing structures and slides for older toddlers and young children who need to run. Another area is divided into four sections. One has costumes, another has a Brio layout, there's a "grocery" store and a tactile play area with astroturf nailed to the walls and a variety of latches and closures. In the center of this is a toddler-height table with Lincoln Logs. They also have a small cafe serving sandwiches, snacks, wraps and salads. We spent about two hours there and Isaac, once he got the idea, didn't run out of things to do. The reason I'm giving it only four stars is because I have nothing to compare it to. Is there something else, somewhere else that's better? I dunno. Maybe.
