It's FREE to walk around and look at all the art…read more Don't miss the displays in the basement even though the descent felt like the middle of a horror movie. "Do people come out of here alive?" "Only survivors. Art requires survivors and sacrifices." The art ranges from pairings to sculptures. The subject matter ranges from kid-friendly to adult-only.

I love First Fridays, 'cause that is when my community comes together to celebrate. I think most of…read moreus are celebrating well . . . just the opportunity to get out and enjoy each other! The galleries are full of laughter, wine, snacks and, of course, many types of art. In addition to different techniques in paintings and sketches, there are artists who work with mixed media, sculptures, metal work, photography, and _____________[fill in the blank--it's probably there]. If you only go to one, be sure to go to the December walk. Everyone's out holiday shopping and festive music is playing outside. Santa comes through, vendors are selling kettle corn and snacks, and the High School band plays. Last year, I stopped at Cornerstone Coffee to get a latte, and Brandy got hot chocolate. I entered a raffle at Collective Visions for a Hundertwassen print, and I won! If you're not really into art, but you like shopping, all of the businesses are open late on first Friday. You guys already know how I feel about Tammy Sioux's and Simply Renewed, but I haven't told you how special Ish is! And, on Art Walk nights, Ish is totally hopping!! Ish's owner is super friendly and the place is PACKED. You get to try on vintage clothing and get your picture taken, sip wine, and chat. The Walk lasts from 5-8. After you're done browsing and shopping, you can walk to a number of fine eating establishments and continue to celebrate! My first choice would be New Dehli [ the food is amazing and the owners, who are always there cooking and serving are very friendly], but if Indian food is not your thing there's Toro Lounge, Bremerton Bar and Grill, El Corral [Mexican] and Anthony's. I love my Bremerton :)

First of all, meeting Dan felt like meeting a celebrity to me because I've watched so many of his…read morevideos. But aside from being starstruck, I was absolutely floored by the sheer number of incredible bonsai, many of which were absolutely world class. Most of his trees have a very rustic, rough/natural appeal, TONS of deadwood and shari/jin features, none of his junipers are styled in the traditional Japanese or Chinese methods, but I could see many of these trees winning prizes in the national here in the state's. Especially his azaleas and rock plantings. Dan was very down to earth and happy to talk shop endlessly even though we showed up on their day off accidentally (Apple Maps wasn't updated to their winter hours). Despite this, after hearing that I was a true bonsai fanatic his lovely wife allowed me in and let us roam free. Needless to say I was in heaven! We were on our way to a hike so we had to leave after only an hour, but I could easily have spent a full day there. Dan apparently will take offers on his extraordinary trees. Lord knows he has plenty! Had I known that going in I might have looked at them differently, as potential purchases. He had sold a lovely 60-year-old bougainvillea to a woman and was showing her how to train it. All of which cost her less than $600 surprisingly! All things considered, it was truly a wonderful experience and next time I'm in Puget Sound I'm definitely going back (with some money).

The lady owner with blonde hair kept following us inside the store and outside. It made us feel really uncomfortable because she was just following us and didn't say anything. It was nice of her to show us around, but she kept on following us. Especially this older gentleman. We still didn't know if they wanted us to leave or if they liked us. You have to pay to go out back and see all the bonsai. Inside is cool. We couldn't see most of it because in some areas it's hard to get around.

I went in to get a vintage engagement ring set (1960's) resized, re-detailed and soldered. It was…read moreworn by my grandmother in law for 60 years and the bands had warped and thinned over time. The owner gave us wonderful advice that reflected her knowledge and care over sentimental pieces. She gave us a great price, helped us find a matching band, and repaired the piece in a little under three weeks. I would recommend this business to anyone in the market!

I found EB on a random Instagram feed I saw after searching for months for a perfect engagement…read morering. I noticed the prices were very good on her posts so I decided to take a look at her website. I saw nothing but good reviews so I decoded to reach out to get a consultation. After being super indecisive I ended up giving Molly a call and she was super helpful and knowledgeable. She worked with me on picking the perfect stone , choosing a nice setting and designed it start to finish. The turnaround time was very fast and she gave me updates quite frequently throughout the whole process. She video chatted me with the actual diamond and sent me preliminary CAD drawings. She even gave me suggestions and ideas about making a proposal. I ended up choosing my lady's favorite restaurant and tried to make a reservation which didn't go as planned. The lady at the restaurant blew me off the phone. I told Molly what happened and she called the restaurant and got the manager on the phone. She literally set the reservation for me and had the manager reach out to me. I didn't expect her to go out of her way to do that for me but she was legitimately concerned about this being perfect. I was able to coordinate my proposal with the restaurant manager and it was AMAZING thanks to her. The ring came out sooooo nice I will have to post a picture of it when I get a chance. I had to delete all the ones I had because I didn't want her snooping through my phone and spoil it all lol. If you're looking for an honest and reputable jeweler then go with EB. I took a chance and it paid off and she has a customer for life. Thank you for getting me the best quality ring I've seen for the price by far and even better customer service. I will be back soon!
