Right on the Siuslaw River in Old Town Florence so you can walk to restos, shops and the the beautiful marina and docks. Flowers adorned the front yard and all over the sitting porch. We were in the "Summer Room" and it had a lovely balcony were we left the door open all night for the wonderful beach breeze. Breakfast consisted of 5-courses, all house made. My husband and I were both stuffed by then end! We would definitely come here again! The only oddity was the bathroom door. We are both extremely private people and found it a bit chalenging to use the privy as the door does not go all the way to the top or bottom of the doorway.

In short, our stay was so amazing and peaceful, and we will definitely be back. First things first, the owner was super friendly, responsive, and accommodating - proactively, a few days before arrival, and in person as well. He was knowledgeable of the area and activities and gave us some superb recombinations (where to go, etc). The check in was easy and straight forward, and our cabin was ready and clean upon arrival. More so than we would normally expect, so we were happy from the start. The cabin we checked into was at the end of the motel in a beautiful grassy and wooded area. One of 5 cabins available for rent and each one had a fire pit, outdoor covered seating, a bbq area, semi-private areas, etc. Inside the kitchen had basic dish ware (plates, bowls, cups, and mugs), a spacious fridge, stocked Keurig coffee maker, large full sized refrigerator, gas stove and microwave... the bathroom had soaps, shampoo, and conditioner available... the living room area came equipped with DirecTV and comfortable seating.... And the bedrooms were spacious and oh so comfortable. While the highway is close by, it's a fairly quiet area and super peaceful at night. I got a small glance into the motel rooms as I was walking our dogs around and the rooms looked just as clean and put together. Very inviting and welcoming. 10 out of 10... we will be back in the area again in a few months and will be renting a cabin again. I've never felt this relaxed staying somewhere... so looking forward to it!

We chose Park Motel and Cabins not just for its great reviews but for the convenient location to destinations we planned to go. The owners were very friendly and kind to check & fix an outlet for the hair dryer to work plus they allowed us to use the outdoor grill complete with charcoal and lighter fluid, made our 5-nights stay feel so homey. The rooms are clean with comfy beds, clean sheets and towels and good choice of complimentary coffee. We'll definitely stay here again!

We got eaten alive by mosquitoes coming thru the busted out window both nights. Before arrival I had asked if we needed to provide propane for the grill they talk about that is there. They assured me they had propane. Tank was empty. Was promised if I got a refill in town and provided receipt they would refund me. It's been days and no refund and now the main branch of vacasa can't seem to get any answers out of the Florence team. While the house itself and location was beautiful the team running it seems to lack care or any consideration. I am furious we paid so much and yet they can't seem to stand up to their promises. On the morning of our check in date I hadn't received any information on the address or check in process so I called Vacassa and they emailed me the information. I was told I could check in early but I was turned away at the door by maintenance, who said check in time is 4:00 and I needed to go away until then. Once we checked in I was planning to set up appointments and work with service providers while in town, but there was no internet so that messed up my work plans. I called the host to inform them of the lack of internet, TV and heat in one of the bedrooms. They said someone from management would get back to me that evening. No one did. I texted the host in the morning to let them know that there was no internet, TV or heat. Someone came out in the afternoon and fixed the heat. Later that afternoon they called me and had ME talk to Spectrum to fix the internet. What host has their guests fix problems with the rental?? Wifi and TV are listed on their ad as essential amenities. Lack of heat is a health and safety violation. My complaints went un-addressed. Don't stay at their properties!

We took a nice little swim in the lake which was the perfect temperature. The gentleman who owns this place is friendly and professional, i felt welcome and at ease while interacting with him. I met a dog and a cat. The cat was perfect in every way- mysterious yet friendly, unafraid and unconcerned. The dog was a VERY good dog who accompanied us to the lake and hung out on the shore and guarded our shoes. This dog demonstrated extraordinary restraint by not stealing our shoes EVEN THOUGH both my partner and i threw our shoes onto the shore. Any dog would be extraordinarily tempted to play fetch with those shoes and yet this dog did not. Extraordinary. Also, the view from our room was magnificent. If you are fortunate enough to be looking for a lake view retreat, you should probably stay here. I will definitely be coming back and I will be staying for much longer

Dock was great for fishing and the views were great; however, as people with no pets the house was not cleaned properly after the use of some. We found the floors were dirty and needed a good mopping. Found dog hair in the bed in the first bedroom and dog hair in the second bedroom. The shower curtain in the first bathroom needs replacing and bathroom floors should be mopped not just sweeped. Towards the end of our stay my daughter was using her inhaler and we were all itchy. Again if you have pets you should find this house comfortable but for non pet user i say go elsewhere for the price we paid i expected more.

I just can't say enough about how great of a time we had at Mickey's Landing. We cannot wait to go again, but for at least a week next time!

It was well appointed with all the basic necessities, was clean and uplifted, the owners could not have been more helpful and responsive, and the garden was delightful. And it had a good location - it was a plus to us that it was in Coos Bay near the ocean to the south, less than 10 minutes to downtown, and close to the dunes to the north. Actually you could see the bay from the cozy upstairs seating area. It was a relaxing, peaceful, healthy place - what a treat!

And two queen bed rooms on opposite sides of the house, downstairs, both nicely appointed with furnishings, and two full bathrooms, one of which is also a Finlandia cedar lined sauna. A fully equipped and stocked kitchen (several types of spices, salt, pepper, coffee, sugar and different sweeteners, cocoa, condiments, along with a variety of other kitchen items not normally included with vacation rentals), dishes, lots and pans, blender, etc. with a breakfast bar for two and separate dining table and chairs for four, that looks out over the bay through a full bay window. The living room on the road frontage side is also well furnished, an oversized arm chair, love seat and matching couch with an entertainment center hosting several board games, an electronic fireplace and a flat screen TV with multiple channels. There is even an old style working rotary dial telephone! Out the back door onto a nice sized deck, there is a small table with two chairs and a full sized gas grill for outdoor cooking that over looks the bay. Following the stair case down you walk down the path and you will find yourself on 249' of private bay side water front beach. Downstairs storage there are several sizes of mud boots, crab pots, clam digging equipment and a couple of bicycles for use while staying. All in all this is a great little place to get away and relax on the water. Close to town yet far enough away to feel private. The only downside to this little gem, the road traffic noise, in the winter I'm sure it's nothing but during the summer it starts early and goes late. Still a great place to stay and in comparison to the area hotels and motels is a bargain! A solid 4 star stay and we will visit again. 00244
