What I encountered was nothing short of treacherous, and I would not want anyone else to fall victim to her dishonest tax preparation tactics. My Experience: * Misrepresentation of My Refund Amount - Tenneshia initially lied about my federal refund, telling me it was $4,000.00 when, in reality, IRS records show my actual refund was $4,923.00. * Unauthorized & Inflated Fees - She claimed her tax preparation fee was $500, yet she illegally deducted $1,325.95 from my refund for two years in a row, without my knowledge or consent--resulting in a total unauthorized overcharge of $1,651.90! * Failure to Provide Transparency - She did not disclose my refund breakdown or deductions before filing my taxes, instead waiting until after my taxes were processed to send me vague, pre-dated documents. * Withholding Access to Tax Documents - I repeatedly requested access to my tax records, and she ignored or deflected my requests for transparency. * Intimidation & Deflection Tactics - When I confronted her about the missing money and unauthorized deductions, she tried to intimidate me by falsely claiming she had an attorney and then shifted the focus to unrelated tax matters instead of addressing her fraudulent activity. Remember, we have paid our retainer, and we have paid every invoice to this point, paying them electronically day of receipt. After noting she's completed our personal returns Ellen's email turns angry. I'm deciding whether to post Ellen's response because it carries financial threats regarding our filings, and what I perceive as ultimatums. I will share the email with anyone who requests a copy, however, I will fall short of posting at this time because it is quite concerning and I have to consider long term what our options our. When I requested our Personal taxes, as well as documentation that they've been filed, Which is what I had to demand regarding our corporate taxes as well, below is one of several email responses from Ellen, again, I described another above.
