I took my laptop to Data Doctors a few months ago because my AC Adapter was not working, my…read morecomputer would boot up with cord but the plug would not stay in, and it wasn't charging my laptop. Data Doctors took my computer and repaired the AC Adapter and ordered me a new battery, and charged me $307 including battery. Should mention that when I picked up my laptop at Data Doctor, I plugged it to make sure it would start up, the guy warned me to be careful with the Adapter... probably because it was not properly repaired to begin with. After two months the AC Adapter came out of my computer, I took my laptop back in for them to repair the AC Adapter and after having the laptop for a few days without any word. I call and they said they would not warranty the work because they claim the laptop was damaged by dropping it. Honestly my laptop had a minor dent on the bottom corner which happened a long time ago, but this was never the problem. The AC Adapter was not installed properly... or after two months I would not have had this problem. I ended up sending my Laptop into Dell and they fixed it as out warranty repair, my laptop is 5 years old. This process with Dell was very smooth and trustworthy. Dell repairs included the following repairs... repaired or replaced included AC Adapter/ cord replaced, keyboard replaced, Palm rest replaced, cables replaced, Main Logic Board repaired. After all this they ran a comprehensive hardware test to ensure proper functionality, which included a long list of testing ran but nothing noted. How much was the cost from Dell... $200 plus 30$ costs for shipping. Now my AC Adapter is secure so I'm confident it won't fall out again, If you want a trustworthy place it would not be Data Doctor, personally I feel this place is a scam to get you to purchase there memberships, which I opted out of.

He arrived as expected and after showing him the new equipment, he got right to work. He transferred all data from the old desktop hard drive, external hard drive, music and then arranged all the apps to the positions I had on my last monitor. He even downloaded the apps. Everything was seamless. There was no way I could have handled the job myself. Great work! Five out of five stars!

I was so surprised at the price he was going to charge me that I insisted on maying 33% more (people that go above and beyond deserve to be fairly compensated). I know enough about the computer hardware business (having done it a bit in the 90s) that I can tell he has the highest ethical standards. For those that don't understand troubleshooting and technology, unethical folks could talk circles around clients to take advantage of them. Mark is 100% the opposite of this and is how we want everyone who does work for us to treat us - with integrity and at reasonable prices. Hopefully, in our work this is how we all treat our own clients and employers. If we want to see more good honest workmanship in the world, we need to recognize it when we see it and share it with others... as I am doing here.

I would only be on the computer 45 minutes or so before turning the display off to let it cool down. My computer is 17 years old and I put off replacing the fan as long as I could. I called on Wednesday before noon and they picked it up that afternoon. By Friday I had my computer back and it's like it's new again. It has made a world of difference. Deon Lee Hanson then talked me into "upgrading" my network, telling me that my network was running on very old technology. So, I agreed to pay him for, and paid him, for this supposed "upgrade." While here to perform the supposed "upgrade," they shut down my computer and disconnected me from my network without telling me in advance. I was working on several documents at the time, all of which were lost and had to be redone because of this bonehead move. When I asked Deon Lee why they did this, he replied that he didn't know that I was here. Didn't know that I was here? I welcomed him at the door and have a glass enclosed office that looks directly into the area where our server closet is located. No honesty at all in my opinion. The "upgrade" has since turned into a disaster. EVERYTHING on my system and network runs slower than it did before Deon Lee Hanson touched anything. Our ability to maintain our workflow is even worse now. I asked Deon Lee for the money back that I paid for the repairs he never performed and the supposed "upgrade" that made my system worse. I needed the money back because now I am going to have to pay another IT firm to come in and fix this utter mess that Geeks Mobile created. Mr. Lee refused to refund my money. I now have to file a lawsuit. Folks, there are plenty of good mobile IT firms out there that are far, far better and more professional than this one.
