However, On September 9th, 2018, we learned just how devastating going through a major fire can be personally. We had just welcomed a new baby girl to the family less than 3 weeks before and were moving into our first home. Thankfully, we all were completely safe and the only loss we had was material. I remember the horrible feeling of trying to hold back tears when we saw what was left of our new home. Completely in shock, anxious, and trying to find answers, in a word, we were lost. As the initial shock subsided, we worked with our insurance company to get started on the claim. While they were great, we still were navigating completely uncharted territory and did not feel comfortable or knowledgable about what exactly to do. We then received advice from a family member that we NEED to call Ron Schoeneman immediately before doing anything. That piece of timely advice, was a blessing. That family connection at our time of need, seemed like it could only be divine intervention. I wish I called United States Adjusters from the beginning. I initially tried to deal with the insurance company directly and they offered 10% of what I ended up recovering with the US Adjusters team. After I contacted them, they got back to me immediately. Jose's depth of knowledge in this industry is breathtaking. He knows exactly how to communicate with insurance adjusters and he has a background in construction so he could seemingly rebut any none sense arguments that the insurance adjuster tried to make. He is extremely responsive and stayed on top on my claim with great professionalism. Wens is equally responsive and pleasant to work with. United States Adjusters helped me recover an additional good chinch, about an additional 40-50%. Once United States Adjusters pushed things as much as they could, they suggested that I contacted an attorney that they recommended because they knew I could recover more but they also know how insurance companies work. In my case, the insurance company needed the threat of legal action to provide the full amount of recovery. They assembled my legal team who did an fabulous job and along with United States Adjusters helped me recover another 50%. Wens went out of his way recommending other professionals like contractors to help with renovations even if that was not part of the services they were providing. You cannot go wrong with United States Adjusters. They are the best team you can wish for.

So when Luca from Neighborhood Adjusters came to inspect my neighbor's house, I invited him over. I knew I had some dents on my siding, but he looked around and found much more damage: some blisters on the shingles caused by high-speed hail impacts, dents on my AC condensing unit and on gutters and fascia, and on a storm door and a light fixture. Things I wouldn't have thought to check. He even examined our mailbox. He met the insurance inspector, held firm with him, and got money for us for these items. We now have a new roof, all new siding, gutters, fascia, the other items, and even money to refinish my deck. Even if we didn't fix all these items, we were still eligible for recovery of the damage. That's the value of a public adjuster. But you should know that if you just use their adjuster service and don't hire them, you will owe them a big commission. I did hire them though, and it was a good experience on the whole. The process took a long time, but they always did what they promised. Of course Luca works for his company, but he always tried to satisfy our needs, always answered my calls, and was on top of the details. He understands insurance and he's tuned in to the customer. I'm a former contractor myself, so I'm probably more demanding than some other homeowners. We had a couple of bumps along the way, but we ended up satisfied and we're happy to give the company and especially Luca, a positive review.
