As far as fast food and take out goes, this is a great place. It's just a hole in the wall, literally. The entire kitchen is the size of a typical American kitchen counter.
There's some standing room to order your food, a couple stools and a wall bench to sit and eat, and a couple picnic tables and chairs out on the sidewalk.
No frills. No pretension. All business. And a simple one at that, as they only sell a couple burgers, hot dogs, and a delicious roasted pork sandwich. (And some soft drinks)
We read about their pork sandwich and that's what we all tried. The owner cut off a thick slice of pork from a large slab of crispy, roasted pork belly. He then fried each slice on his griddle, toasted the buns, and put it all together with some jam. It was delicious.
We went next door to a "bodega," bought a couple Carlsberg beers, and had ourselves a wonderful time at the sidewalk table.
Too bad we weren't there long enough to go back a second time.
Oh and their burger and dogs were alright too. Nothing to write home about. The pork sandwich is the reason to go there. Enjoy! read more
