The cosmetic company hosted its fans an afternoon filled with various of activities: do-it-yourself make up stations, bottomless Gourmet /specialty coffee drinks on the house and bottomless popcorn as well as Spa water, (cucumber and lemon) make up artist stations as well as interview stations helping the brand making an ad. Upon arrival, we were handed our event wristband. This felt like almost another Yelp event but minus Yelp team and Yelp souvenirs. They largely advertised under our 'Events,' section, so I actually caught the 'SmashBox Casting Call Party.' I didn't feel like going on any video recording for interviews this time, so I went behind the scenes. I still got Polaroid pics taken. The camera guys were extremely friendly just like our Yelp LA East team camera men. Any ways, I'm going to continue supporting 'Smashbox.' Now I have been invited to one of their events. I have been using all their lip gloss and lip shades. W2G, 'SmashBox Studios.' For our Sunday Funday. Customer Service: Speechless. This is how one runs cosmetic business. W2G, 10/10.... You open the big white doors and step into an oasis. Angelica assisted me from the beginning in the planning and attended to all of our requests and needs. When you are trying to comfort your clients and plan an event celebrating such a wonderful person, it gets emotional. You want everything to be just as they envisioned. The day was a celebration that my client and all the guests felt was fitting for such a beautiful person. The atmosphere, the food and the service was top notch. Check-in process was efficient with names on a tablet and a list on a sheet. There are a few bars set up inside because I was wandering around with three wooden drink chips. There is a DJ playing with a huge are for dancing while I waited for one of the pinball machines. They set up a little room with things of the 80's era. It was like walking through memory lane while in search of these keys. It was one of the games for attendees to turn in for schwag. In the back room there is a half court basketball station set up for a bit of shooting around. All while we were waiting for a customized baseball cap. You can select any of the patches on the cap that they offered. Plenty of people playing different hotel roles like a few maids, bellboys, front desk clerks. It was fun and Jack Daniels promoted with suggestions to take an Uber home for the night with $10 coupons. Drink responsibly and designate a driver.
