I've been in the social media space for 24 years before Facebook was born so no stranger to reviewing on a variety of review sites. Never one as personal and profound as sharing this journey though. Just less than a year ago my medical team in San Diego based on some serious fatigue I had battled suggested I be tested for sleep apnea and sent me for Sleep studies @ Scripps in San Diego. Once they determined I had it I was in denial (did not believe them) as I did not snore and I did not gasp for air at night. Who knew sleep apnea could be so sneaky and not show its ugly head more easily? My sleep Dr. in San Diego pushed me to get one of the dreaded CPAP machines calling them the gold standard. I knew many patients that failed before me after great expense and difficulties. I was stressed out with just the thought. Another procedure involved surgical insertion of a device in my chest called Inspire.Uh please no thank you! Being a light sleeper, I knew this Cpap thing would be a disaster in the making even if I attempted. Because I split my time living between Las Vegas and San Diego I read the reviews of Dr West and her team and thought I would give them a chance and hope the reviews were reliable data points. As we all know they are not always on Yelp or elsewhere. Oddly in San Diego most of the providers had very low ratings under 2 stars and unhappy patients.That added to my lack of keeping the faith early on. Surprising as San Diego has a strong medical community otherwise overall. I started treatment with an oral device @ ISleep Solutions (an alternative to the forced air and face mask surgery etc) and was far from a fan of the thing but Dr West and her team stood by me every step of the way until I became comfortable with the device and never once took personal insult when I challenged certain aspects of the treatment, I was skeptical of. I was pessimistic at times to be honest. They advised me that they had a high success rate.But also were honest and upfront it might not work either. There were no false promises or being led on. This week I became a believer and received my sleep study test at the nearby Summerlin Hospital and received some great news. A game changer. Their treatment was a success! (Started treatment in Feb 2024) Today I have far less fatigue and know its up to me now going forward for more healthy eating and exercise to get me some more time on planet earth staying happy & healthy. Did I say sleeping better?More energy? If you are lucky enough to be accepted as a patient and even better have insurance that will pay for it don't hesitate even for a second. They are at the top of their game at what they do. A shout out to Meghan, Paye, Destiny and manager Melissa and of course the exceptional Dr. West and anyone else I may have forgotten to add to the list. You make your industry proud. Initially I was very excited to find Dr. West, I was told I have sleep apnea and TMJ, I then was told a hurst device was 2800. The device wasn't helping my ears and pain so I saw an oral surgeon, after doing an MRI and sleep test, it was told to me I don't have either problem. I reached out to the office to ask for half back (only half) and they won't do anything to make the situation right, I have an attorney now because this isn't right. I asking for all back now. I'm so bummed that they refuse to make this right. read more

Horrible product and very poor customer service. They don't respond to your calls either. I called them multiple times to let them know that I had difficulties with their product. They never addressed the issue and kept sending me bills and charged me when I had notified them that I am not using their device. read more

I saw Dr. West today for the third time. Each time she was very friendly, and very knowledgable about sleep apnea! She did a complete study on me, including a fancy 3Dx-ray machine, and other things I have never seen before. She fitted me for a mouth piece to wear at night. Sure beats a Cpac! Dr. West and her team made my life so much better. Finding a much better alternative to my sleep issue using a dental appliance was preferable over surgery or CPAP use. Problem is solved! The setup and review time period required by insurance is good, Henrietta is amazing but then when you qualify, that contact goes away are you are just left alone and getting refills is an absolute nightmare. The girl. Victoria, that answers the phone is just rude and does not hesitate to lie. Then when insurance does not want to cover anymore because these guys truly do not help, support or give customer service in anyway they charge you over $800 for a used machine they have already been paid for. Very scummy. There are many medical supply companies local and online that have quality cpap at half isleep's advertised online prices for brand new. They are unprofessional and overcharge clients and insurance companies. read more

For the last year I've been sleeping in another room, because my wife can't tolerate my snoring. Through a series of other Doctors, surgeries and referrals resulting in little to no progress I found myself at the office of Dr. Pamela West. DOES A LADY SNORE!! Was sent to Dr West as a referral from my Cardiologist after a sleep study diagnosed mild sleep apnea. I was in disbelief that I had that condition, though I had been told over the years that I snored in my sleep. (Does a lady snore? Horror!) Well, I was so wrong...again! What a difference the mouth appliance made....l immediately was breathing better at night, no more dry mouth and according to my smartwatch, my oxygen levels were in high 90s. While I am still in treatment, there is no doubt that my quality of life is forever changed....but that is not the full story...it's the people at this office that bring me tears of gratitude. I would like to give it 5 for Dr. Pamela West and her staff that works with her during my exams and the 2 front receptionist. They are wonderful. Sadly the financial office manager (I am sure that isn't her official title) lacked sensitivity and professionalism. I felt like i was treated like a low life today. I want to emphasize that care is wonderful from dr. West and i am in awe of her knowledge and enthusiasm for what she does , but sad that one person has dropped the rating from a solid 5 to a 3. It is impossible to explain the entire scenario that occurred today. I was almost in tears when I left today. Front staff even seemed embarrassed that financial office manager was unwilling to appreciate my situation and request. I am in a tough situation. I will need to return for follow up but so disheartened that not sure if I can/want to. Only one other time in my life have I left a doctor due to office staff. Sadly this may be the second time. I've been suffering from sleep apnea for at least the last ten years. I kept putting off doing something about it until I started to see signs of my health declining. I was told that this dental appliance is the alternative to the cpap machine. So I decided to try it. Dr. West and her staff and always pleasant and always helpful. They have treated me with kit gloves from the first visit and are always most kind and hospitable. It's been almost two months now and I can happily say I'm sleeping way better. I snore way less and I get up less in the middle of the nite. I have the energy to make it through the day without caffeine or any caffeine like bi products. I'm also less easily irritated and have less mood swings. I can't wait to see what the long term effects of this appliance brings.
