His name is Ramon and he is so awesome he answer all the questions I ask him he took the time explaining how everything works. He hooked me up with the wires and got me ready for bed. This review is for the customer service only; I have not been seen by this office yet. I was scheduled for a sleep study and have been so incredibly frustrated with what seems like an outsourced call center from another country. I have two insurances and was told I owe 406 dollar out of pocket. I ask why and they said it's my deductible, and that I have to pay my deductible before my secondary begins to pay. When I continued my line of questioning I was told that it's because my primary only covers one night of the study, and when my secondary pays their part, I'll get refunded 203 dollars, but will still be out of pocket for 203 dollars. I keep insisting that this isn't how a primary and secondary insurance operate. I'm well acquainted with my own plans, but I have also worked as a billing manager in office, a certified medical coder and have worked for commercial health plans for the last 13 years. I asked them to cancel my appointment because I have no trust in how their business office operates and I'm not paying out of pocket or hoping for some reimbursement. It was also incredibly concerning to see someone 2 years ago leave a review about being quoted the same exact dollar amounts and being told the exact same thing. read more

Do not come here! My fiancé has been suffering from sleep apnea and was referred to Nevada Sleep Diagnostics. In January 2025, he was given equipment for an at-home sleep test. We completed the test right away, returned the equipment immediately, and since then have been calling this office for over 7 months with almost no response.They rarely answer the phone (A total of three times since January) and each time they brush him off, promising to call back but never following through. Just this past week, they answered, said they would return the call, and once again no call back.Meanwhile, I watch my fiancé stop breathing in his sleep almost every night. The lack of concern for patients' health, especially with something this serious, is absolutely unacceptable and dangerous. This is not about bad customer service at a retail store--this is about a patient needing medical equipment that could prevent life-threatening complications.We will be filing complaints at the highest levels because this is terrible business practice and a complete disregard for patient care. The fact that I even have to write a review like this is sickening. Avoid coming here at all costs, the moment they get your money you will be completely ignored. I have been trying to get to a live body for 3 weeks now, and all you can do is leave a message because they don't have a live body answering the phone. Pretty sleazy operation, no email, no one answers the phones, you need to find them and show up at their door. Hard if the kit was mailed to you for home tests. In my case they billed twice for the assessment of my data, then tried to bill both to insurance - I personally went to their office to cancel it, but it was verbal. When insurance said no to the second charge, the bill was forwarded to me. Once it's billed and subsequently kicked back from insurance, its indelible - insurance won't refute the legitimacy, they just say no. The report was never sent to me, but it doesn't matter, it's always sleep apnea. It's mostly legit from what I can tell, but there's nothing preventing them from scamming as well. Tried to dispute it, they just dumped it to collections. There are other sleep centers. read more

First of all they use deceptive billing practice. They billed me upfront stating this is your portion of your cost which was $406. When the insurance sent me the EOB it came back that I only owed $203. I called NSD and spoke with billing. They explained that the first night of the sleep study was covered and not the second night, making the total $406. They also explained after the fact that the health insurance only covered one night. NSD never revealed that up front! Please do not use this company unless you get in writing the upfront costs and do not pay them upfront! Get your EOB before you pay! I hope this review help people understand the deception by these companies to increase revenue at the patient's expense. read more

Austin assisted me back in 2014, so I was pleased he was still at Nevada Sleep Diagnostics. This speaks well of him and the company. This was my first time doing a home sleep study in the past always in the sleep lab. It wasn't as difficult as I thought it might be. My only concern was I had to sleep without my CPAP one night, but that is because insurance requires it. My issue isn't snoring, but my Apnea issues are I stop breathing. read more

This place is a joke. First, Nevada Sleep Study told that my co-pay would be over $200 (WRONG). I kindly asked them to re-verify this information as my Max out of pocket for the year had already been met. They eventually called me back and told me that I was correct (DUH) and that my out of pocket for this test would be $0. At this point, I thought all was good... or so I thought. On the day of my appointment, they called me stating they needed pre-authorization from my insurance that they would pay 100% for the test (since they weren't getting a penny from me.). I informed them that I made this appointment weeks ago and asked why this wasn't done a lot earlier. They blamed my insurance for not getting back to them about authorizing the test. I offered to call the insurance myself to straighten it out, and they gave me 2 hours to get the authorization from them. Two minutes later, while I was on the phone with my insurance company, Nevada Sleep Study called me back and told me that I had no choice but to reschedule my appointment for a different day. I rearranged my work schedule weeks in advance so that I could get this test done TODAY! I told them to cancel my appointment and that I would not be rescheduling The staff that works at this establishment are far from professional and is more concerned with getting paid than the wellbeing of the patients that visit it. The room/bed looked like something from a bad motel room c'mon let's upgrade a little. The bed was comfortable considering and there's no place for belongings but what are you bringing anyway? Getting an appointment was fine, getting explanation and results were fine, getting instruction on how to use the at home sleep study by Chris was fine. My main issue with this place is 100% their billing & customer service. I have NEVER had to actually fight/argue with a medical company in my life nor snap on a representative to tell them to quit interrupting me and give me some respect. ESPECIALLY if i have been waiting 2 months for a refund that my insurance company says I'm owed as well as when I have provided you with the upmost respect in not cussing you out or yelling at you. Firstly this place NEVER answers their phones, not even during business hours. Their hours of operation make no sense & were completely different then what is said in the phone recording/online and haven't been updated to reflect if it's regarding COVID which newsflash- has been going on for a year already. I ALWAYS have to leave a VM and some times, I never hear back from said VM. Secondly, their "billing department"- an absolutely nightmare. When I first went they said my insurance told them I did not meet my deductible for the year so I would owe 100%. Called my insurance who confirmed I did meet it & that any company who asked, they would be obligated to get the same info. NSD was not willing to reach out to my insurance nor would they resubmit the request. So I paid over $300 in December 18 2020. When the claim was finally processed in January 23 2021 I called to discuss the refund for the overpayment, which at that point they said there was no overpayment & that my insurance company is telling them I owed $800! It was a nightmare getting my insurance company on the phone with them (because of NSD not my insurance company) & when I finally did I get a bad attitude from Robert L. About how this is taking up too much of HIS time and how he "for the record, did not agree with any of this." The paperwork they claimed to have reflecting I owed $800 my insurance company had no record of and had to offer to send them because he didn't even ask for it! Absolutely ridiculous. 2 months on the dot February 18, 2021 I finally got $300 back. A bunch of crooks & scammers who I can confirm don't know how to do any insurance work & only care about the money. Do NOT let them scam you. DO NOT USE NEVADA SLEEP DIAGNOSTICS. read more

Terrible experience. I was moved to three different rooms before I could do the sleep study. The first room was exceptionally cold, per the technician and said he'd move me after I got all settled in. He took me to the second room and there was no closet and no place to put my bag with my personal effects and the mattress was horrible and it made it feel like you were falling out of the bed and it was a very small old bed. Once again I was settled in and then I had to move. Then he finally put me in the third room Which was OK. But I told him I'm not moving again. If that room didn't work out I was leaving and not getting the test done. read more

Not impressed. At the end of November I had to wait 3 weeks to get an appointment for the home test which only took 15 minutes. When someone is not feeling well that is far too long to wait. Test completed on 12/20 and equipment returned immediately. I realize it was the holidays but I find it unacceptable that no one has returned my calls in over a week. Would not recommend. read more

The night staff was very nice, but to get the information and get set up with a C-pap machine, is worst than pulling teeth. You can NEVER get anyone to answer the phone during the day. And THEY WILL NOT CALL YOU BACK. If you need to have a sleep test, do not go here. There is only one doctor, and it takes weeks to get the results. Initally called the Tenaya office for at home two night test. Dealt with Chris who lent me the equipment and explained the process. i was told that the at home test is for obstructive sleep apnea and the in house test is more in depth which will see if your brain is responsible for the apneas. Applicable for people who have gone through some sort of brain injury or trauma or had any substance abuse history. So I elected for the at home test. I was told that results will be sent to my physician and a prescription would be made for a cpap machine. After a couple weeks I get a message for an IN HOUSE scheduling for a titration test to see what pressure is needed for my cpap machine. Chris told me my results and that I had severe sleep apnea would need to come in for an in house sleep study to see what pressure level my machine would need. I make the appt 3 weeks out. However I also purchase the Dreamstation CPAP machine on my own, which automatically adjusts the pressure. So after a week of positive results, I call to cancel my appointment. Chris asks why, and I tell him that I already purchased a cpap machine which automatically adjusts the pressure. Then he says oh ok, (pauses) well you do know you also have central apnea which means your brain for whatever reason (history of alcohol and substance abuse, head trauma) tells you to stop breathing. I proceed to cancel and he tells me we are going to discharge you back to your physician and I would have to get another referral if I decide to come back. Chrissy baby, you must work off commission! you aren't the only sleep study in town. My physician initally referred me to another place. I was the one who chose Nevada Sleep. read more

Each time I've had an appointment with them, they focus solely on me, and how best they can make my CPAP experience the best possible. There is not a Dr. for this Sleep Center in Reno, your personal Dr is the one who will review your study and contact you. If your Dr is hard to get appointments with or does not contact you with your study results then you are left to flounder with just a machine, so make sure you set up an appointment with your Dr as soon as your study is done to get results of testing. Once again there is no Pulmonary Doctor in the Reno area that is associated with this Center. read more

Less than one star is more appropriate for this particular sleep study clinic. Last night I had a scheduled sleep study and had to walk out with the disgust of the condition of the sleep room and its bed. There are not enough words to effectively convey the disgusting condition of the bed, bed frame, sheet (that was not changed from previous person who slept) in the bed, the extremely older man at the receptionist counter who conducts the electrode placements on the body/monitors and just nonchalantly kept saying with an insecure repeated word of sorry (meaning nothing is going to be done about it.) The antiquated silk bedspread from a previous era had two white spots on it similar to ejaculation or white cream. When I pulled down the bedspread, there was a blood spot on the sheet right where my back would have laid down on it. There was a hair interwoven into the bed sheet near the blood stain which looked like the hair on a man's chest. Obviously, the bed sheet had not been changed from another sleep study the night or nights before. When I pointed this out, the old man changed the sheet revealing the old mattress cover that had a twist gob of hair tangled up in the mattress cover fibers and balls of cotton all the mattress cover as if it had been washed so many times over and over again without ever replacing with a new one. The bed frame was broken underneath thus the head of the mattress titled down to the floor where my head would have been backwards to the floor and the middle of the bed raised up thus raising my stomach up in the air. There were sheets of hospital pads tucked between the dilapidated mattress and the dilapidated bed frame (due to age and neglect). The old naugahyde bed frame was ripped and the night stand old and marked up. The breathing apparatus looked dirty and unkempt. The old man receptionist/monitor asked if I wanted to reschedule and gave me the main office (Henderson) phone number. However, when I walked out, he said he will not refund my $216) MEDICARE co-pay and that leaving was my sleep study. First, I was told by Christopher Warren at Nevada Sleep Diagnostics when making an appointment, that if there is a MEDICARE co-pay, the diagnostic company would call me and let me know. Second, there was no respectful phone call and I was told to pay at the counter $216 up front. Now there will be a battle with MEDICARE as Nevada Sleep Diagnostic is charging them for a study not done and not refunding MEDICARE co-cop. My doctor is receiving a formal letter of complaint against Nevada Sleep Diagnostics as it MEDICARE and an Board affiliated with them. Moreover, the Board of Health is being contacted and the Better Business Bureau of the blood stain that could have seeped into the mattress cover below, the body hairs on the unchanged sheets and the remainder of what is mentioned above. As with the extreme lack of words to effectively convey the condition of of my initial experience there, there are no words effective enough to vehemently convey that you please urgently consider conducting your Sleep Diagnostics elsewhere other than Nevada Sleep Diagnostics (especially the Tenaya Office) if not the their other two sites. I did place a phone call to their main office today with no response and will document my future attempts at contacting them regarding this incident, MEDICARE and co-pay. In the meantime, communication with pertinent offices mentioned above are being informed. Yes I have proof of this incident. read more
