Great food and great service. Fries are great and burgers too. Great service and ambiance

The staff was great and the food was average. They have nice seating inside and a small outside area. We got the nachos and a couple burgers. They do have a long list of drinks which we didn't try. read more

I always love islands for their delicious burgers (don't go as often as I'd like) so last weekend we decided to stop in, service was friendly as always. A tad slow on the drink refills TBH and they were not that busy. My "go to" has always been the Maui, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion and Swiss. This visit I don't know what was going through my head I guess I was trying to be healthy by substituting the beef with a turkey patty. It just didn't hit the same and since I RARELY eat burgers I shouldn't have messed with success! The fries always hit nicely! My partner had the long boarder with thousand island and he said it was very good. Islands is always a treat for me when we go it just doesn't have a lot of locations :-( read more

We came in today and had the best experience! Our server was named Gracie. We had a gluten allergy and she went out of her way to make sure it was safe. After she took the order the manager with brown hair and glasses came over and asked some follow up questions to make sure it was safe to eat. Between the two of them we felt so cared for and taken seriously. Thanks to both of you read more

I can definitely see why there aren't many islands around anymore. It still looks fine inside, but boy the booths are small and there's barely any tables. I got a big family, that just isn't realistic in fat America. Server was nice, nothing too special. Mai tai was tasty but not too hard to nail that. The burger and fries as well as chicken sandwiches are the height of mediocrity. Was it good? Sure, it was serviceable. I was full, but it was just okay and the fries weren't even as good as some frozen fries I've made at home. With so many options around this location, I'm shocked it's still around. Maybe old drunks keeping it afloat from the bar, I do love tiki drinks! Won't be returning. read more

We had the best Mother's Day lunch at Islands, and our server Sarah is the reason it was so special! From the moment we sat down, she made us feel like VIPs. She made sure I felt completely taken care of on my day. It's rare to find someone who's not only on top of things with great service but also brings real joy to the table. She's the kind of person who turns a regular meal into a memory. Thank you, Sarah, for making our Mother's Day so amazing--we'll definitely be asking for you next time! Management: Please bring back the endless fries!! read more

Decent food at affordable prices. Service is very good ( Michael) he works very well. Good managers and staff. Recommend this place !! Play lots 80's music plus have 5 tv's to watch sports )) read more

Islands has always been a family favorite. Wish they hadn't gotten rid of all the colorful bird decor and awesome surfing on the tvs. They still have some bird decor but not as many as the old days. And unfortunately they now play sports games on most of the tvs. We try and enjoy dinner away from sports games but unfortunately sports has taken over Islands as well. Atleast the food is still yummy. Love the fish tacos and burgers. Caleb was our server, he was cute and very attentive. Excellent service! read more

This location is always busy but instead of waiting for a table we sat at the bar as they offer full service. Our bartender Simone was on point with the special drink we've requested. If you're in the mood for a good burger and fries, can't go wrong with Islands. I ordered the kaanapali kobb salad which was so tasty and my BF ordered the kilauea burger that came with fries. Fries were better than any other I've tasted. Crispy but not dried out on the inside. read more

Great fish tacos. Love the curbside pickup, quick and I forget his name but guy that ran it out made sure I had the sauces for the tacos. I appreciate that. read more

Food is amazing and order always to perfection !!! Servers are so friendly and so many options for dietary needs

Ordered online. Haven't ordered from this restaurant in awhile. But I usually order the tuna and fries. So that's what I ordered. What a disappointment!! Band tuna and cold, hard, tasteless fries. Never thought you could totally mess up an order of fries. But they were able to do just that. Won't be ordering again! read more

Very disappointing visit! Our water had no ice and tasted like it was run from kitchen sink. Male waiter was nive, apologized and brought ice. Burgers wire mediocre at best and fries were horrible and cold. We used to come here years back and it was always great so I assume lack of management is causing this substandard review. read more

I gave 4 stars because I have never found a restaurant that there was NO room for improvement but we liked the Islands Restaurant very much.

We love Islands and always have a lovely experience. Great food, ambience, and service. Kolby is amazing! An incredible server.

We have been coming to Arizona for years and have always seen this place but never been. This trip we changed that and I'm happy we did!! I had the chicken teriyaki sandwich and oh my gosh it was to die for! Service was quick and our waiter was on top of it the whole night! While we don't live in Arizona we will definitely be back next time we visit!! Thanks for some amazing service and even better food!! Don't miss out on this place when you see it! I'm mad we hadn't tried it sooner! read more

islands Burgers has one of the best veggie burgers I've ever had! It was flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent--friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. However, the fries were a bit too hard for my taste. Still, the veggie burger alone is worth the visit! I'll definitely be back to try more. read more

Haven't been to Islands in ages. Went for lunch and I gotta admit the restaurant is still there and quite busy I might add! Seems they have expanded their menu with alot more options! I say that in a good way. Ordered the nachos and they did not disappoint, healthy portions too. The fries, and onion rings were all delish. Was to full to finish my scrump delicious burger. Oh well got dinner . Good food as I remember! Thanks Islands, will be back! read more

As a first time mom. I can't tell you how much I appreciate a changing table. But most importantly a chqnging table in a stall. 10/10. Great food always fresh and delicious The alcohol flight is amazing has great variety The staff is always nice and attentive. read more

Service was less than desirable went 2pm on a Thursday. 1 out of 6 couples inside, we got seated and asked if we could get just another minute looking at the menu. It took a decent amount of time for the waitress to come back. I believe her name was Gracie. We ordered and got our drinks. Food thankfully came out fast. Once we got our food we weren't checked on the entire time while eating. Not asked how everything was if we needed anything else like refills. The sad part was there was a couple in the booth in front of us that did get checked on regular which was weird why we were being ignored. I had to flag the waitress down to say we were finished eating and if we could get boxes. She came back with 2 boxes and no bag. The experience wasn't the best especially since it was my first time there. Food was excellent and would be willing to give another chance if not at that location maybe another. read more

I've been going to Islands for years - the food is always consistently good, and the staff is friendly and welcoming! I want to give a special shoutout to Caleb for his excellent customer service. I'm usually a fan of Island's. From it's tropical and surf decor to it's island inspired menu, Island's mixes food and fun. This location still has tropical and surf decor. (I'm a big fan of the ceramic birds.) It even has the menu items found at all Island's restaurants. The food itself wasn't quite on par with other locations I have visited. I decided to try something from their lunchtime menu. I went with the patty melt and fries. Island's patty melt is served on sourdough instead of rye bread. There was too much bread. It was hard to taste the insides over all the outsides. Both the meat and bread were dry. Fries were what I have come to expect from Island's. Fries are cut from fresh, skin on, potatoes. Rustic in appearance, and thicker than fast food fries. read more

Sam is the bartender and takes care of the lounge area, she did a great job today I really enjoyed her personality and she was on top of everything. YeVet ( ? ) the manager stoped by to say hi. I had the Hula burger, Swiss cheese, mushrooms, and I added bacon, served on my choice and I ordered the wheat bun that was incredible. My husband ordered the BLEUNAMI burger and Kona Longboard beer, He ordered his on a white fun and he said his burger was incredible as well. I really enjoyed the french fries they were crisp tasted like air fried. My husband said they were not his favorite tries. The place was great and I WOULD recommend. read more

Food was ok with that being said the server as well as the manager have a lot to be desired for. Since when do you order an appetizer and have that come out with your meal? The manager did not seem to give a crap. Acted As if it was a bother to talk to her. We probably will not go back anytime soon. read more

Islands Restaurant - Just greedy.... #everything - American Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Food is good and priced right. We had a late lunch on 1/14/24 and was able to take advantage of the happy hour. I had an individual serving of the tortilla soup (limitless bowls are available) and it was good, temperature wise could have been a little warmer. My husband had the chef salad and said it was really good. Mai Tais are some of the best we have had and a great price at happy hour. Service is always attentive. Atmosphere is island like and makes you feel like you are on vacation. For the price I would definitely recommend. read more

This Island's has some of the beat service and quickness of getting food. The two downfalls I feel it has is being in desert ridge, the parking is HORRIBLE and getting in and out during busy times, especially the weekends, is a nightmare. Secondly it is always busy. Many times tables will be empty yet you still have to wait because the host at the front is flustered, and they are too busy taking names and doesn't see which tables are open. When the waiters and waitresses have to come and tell her they have open table(s), something isn't working. But.....the food Is fresh and the staff generally hustles (we have only had bad service twice). I would also say its one of the more fresh, tasty non-bar food styles in the area. read more

I've been an Islands patron for over 20 years, having been to them back when I lived in Southern California. For the Phoenix area this is one of the few locations left and it's so freakin' far! But we were in the area and I couldn't help but stop by for my usuals -- cheese fries with a side of ranch, and the toucan on wheat bread! They've got a small kids menu which my kids enjoyed. Our server was always prompt to keep our drinks refilled. The restaurant looks like any other islands. Please open one in the east valley pHx area!!! read more

I've been coming here for about 8 years now. Always great atmosphere with tvs playing everywhere. Some playing sports, some take us to the beach for surfing views. The green everywhere really make you feel like you've stepped away from the outside world. The service is usually super awesome. I say usually because I recently had one sever who just did her job. The service was good, but it should have been great. One of our favorite servers is Micheal. He's always friendly, funny and super attentive. Ive mentioned to the manager on a number of occasions how much his team is awesome. Now about the burgers... wow!!! They are amazing. My favorite is a Hawaiian. The teriyaki sauce and pineapple are a great mix. Their chicken wrap is just as delicious as well. I can go on and on.... Check them out for yourself. read more

First time trying this restaurant and our experience was good. It was tropical themed which was cool. They have big portions of food but taste was just okay, nothing special. Our favorite was this strawberry coconut smoothie! It was delicious. I ordered a lemonade at first but didn't like it. I tried my fiancé's smoothie and was hooked! I had my lemonade switched out for it. The service was great. read more

I've been coming to Islands for years, being an L.A. native, since they're all over Southern California. Known for great burgers, beers and drinks in a laid-back friendly environment. Dinner last night was great! Had the Longboard burger, son had the Maui burger, and wife had the Beach Bowl (teriyaki chicken and grilled veggies.) If you've never been to an Islands before, you may be catching the "Hawaii + surfer + tiki" vibe and naming convention going on here - lotsa of fun. See pix. In all my years coming to Islands, I don't ever remember them getting an order wrong - but last night they did. These things happen. Minor issue, my burger had the wrong sauce... I brought it to my server's attention (Emily - she was outstanding) and she walked it back to the kitchen to fix. WITHIN LIKE 3 MINUTES, I had a replacement Longboard burger, seriously fresh and hot, delivered by the manager Chris. He was professional and just had a "we'll make it right" attitude about the error. AWESOME service! Cannot say enough about the staff at this place, from our first greeting at the front desk to paying our bill, great service! Thanks Islands for keeping up the consistent quality all these years. And thanks Emily and Chris for an outstanding experience last night! read more

Yummy yummy. I like how spacious this restaurant is and I like "Hawaiian" theme. They closed many tables to make it even more spacious since the covid-19. We had a tide? or wave? burger, don't remember the name but it's the basic burger with a side of french fries and oh my goodness!!! French fries here are so crispy and tasty. Usually, I prefer McDonald's fries over other healthier and better fries, but fries here are... too good!! And the burger was really good too. Good amount of fresh meat, cheese, and some toppings. Yum :) And the Hawaiian burger and the sweet potato fries are a thing! Huge grilled pineapple chunk and teriyaki spread made the burger even tastier. And as I mentioned earlier, fries here are so good, and sweet potato fries. You should try it!!! And another good thing about this place is that employees are so friendly :) read more
