Good burgers and sandwiches. Service was pretty darn good and quick. Had a wonderful meal and enjoyed the atmosphere.

The service at Islands was the best! Our server Nick and the several different staff members that assisted him made our birthday dinner there for my nephew such a great experience. Not only was the service extremely fast but the food was really good and the prices were great as well! Thank you Nick, your assistants and Islands for making his favorite place to eat a great experience! read more

This is for the one on Tatum Boulevard. We have always enjoyed Islands. We realize that many places are short-staffed including this one. The service was good but a little slow. My food was very good. My husband got a chicken quesadilla to go, as he wasn't hungry. He didn't eat it till today when he noticed that even though we paid for a chicken quesadilla, he was given a cheese quesadilla. Just a reminder to double check your to-go orders before you leave the restaurant. read more

We had burgers, fries and bowls. All were tasty and generous portions. The fries still had skins on them which I like! Service was very good too. However the music is way too loud for us to have a good conversation and maybe not worth it to go back for that reason. read more

First impressions. Greeters we're friendly. 20 minute wait. Not too bad. Ordered our food. Apparently fries are additional now. So when I ordered my 10 dollar impossible burger, which was cold, and a frozen patty, nothing like an impossible burger you get at the grocery store, that came out 10 minutes after the fries. So the fries were cold by the time the burger came. Not worth ten dollars for a burger and then 7 for French fries. Islands is not what it used to be. Overpriced and undercooked. But waitress was nice. Oh and the strawberry lemonade taste like rubber. read more

What an awesome experience! We had Kolbe as our server, absolutely the best. Very attentive, our food was served quickly and the taste was excellent. Way to go Islands and Kolbe!!! read more

Let me start off by saying I am a big fan of islands burgers. I started a tradition when my son was six months old. We come to desert ridge and get islands, it's sugar, and sit by the fireplace to eat it. Tonight I had a slight issue and Chris the manager went above and beyond to make sure that my son and I had a great date night. We come to islands every week for our date night and tonight made me understand why. I highly highly recommend this place. If I could give Chris 10 stars I would!! read more

This restaurant should be extremely proud of their employees as well as their food. I have come in multiple times to grab lunch and had great conversations with the bartender DD. Not to mention, she never leaves my drink empty. I highly recommend "The Maverick". A burger you will not find on the menu but have to ask for. The burgers are always delicious! What a fun environment. read more

In fairness to Islands, I'm not a burger fanatic. I didn't even want a burger necessarily, but since Islands was the closest thing to a vacation I might see this year, and they are known for their fine burgers, this is where we ended up. We started with chips and salsa. "Started with.." There lies my problem. Why do I always have to "start with" something. Why not "start with" my entree like a normal person. I digress, I'm having a fat day. The chips were a little over browned, but it's just a chip right? The guacamole was actually pretty good, however. I went with the Big Wave cheeseburger. I love that the bun was toasted, but it was on the greasy side. Other than that, no complaints, was actually quite a good burger. The fries (thick cut-skin on) were not very good, however. They were hot, but didn't seem fresh. We did have great service though. Islands is quite a distance from me, so I think I would save the gas money and fly to Hawaii instead. Funny how that was almost true not too long ago. But if you're at Desert Ridge, it's worth the stop. read more

Popular place on a Friday night but the wait was less than BJ's so Islands was the winner for us. They have kids meals for three different age categories, 6 and younger, 7-12, and 12+. The 6 and younger was perfect for my 4 yr old but the 7-12 meal category was not quite enough for my 7 year old. I like the booths because the walls are high so my kids don't bother the people sitting next to us. Also the noise level is higher than average so if my kid is loud we don't get stares from everyone. Islands is very kid friendly. I ordered the veggie burger. I didn't know that the veggie patty has cheese cooked inside of it so they were very nice to take the burger back and suggested the veggie tacos with no cheese. They were good. My favorite was the lava flow drink which is a strawberry pina colada. read more

Have not had a burger here in at least a decade. They were actually cooked well done and pretty good. They do not appear to be 1/2 pound, but more likely 1/3 pound, which does makes the price point (most are over $10) a bit high, but they do include those tasty skin-on fries.Just went with the thousand island version and added bacon on a white bun for a pretty decent experience. They load the raw onions on there, so watch your breath or take some onions off, but otherwise a good big burger. I also tried the secret spices in the shaker on my fries and that amps things up a bit. Not sure why I haven't been here in so long, but it's back on the list if in area, but not a destination burger place. read more

The boyfriend and I stopped in at Islands for a quick drink and dessert at the bar. I'm not sure why but it certainly became a great evening thanks to our friendly bartender, Kelsey. I can't imagine not wanting to stop in for a cool blended treat in this hot weather. The vibe and people make it that much more amazing. If you're in the area make it a point to stop in and hopefully you'll get Kelsey for your bartender! read more

Love the burgers always a treat coming here!! One of my favorite places in this area. The tiki style brings Hawaii right to you

Don't come here!!! I found a hair in my salad and first time in my life got food poising. It was bad, I was rushed to ER and a coupe of days later to Urgent Care. I was medically diagnosed with food poisoning and or Hep A( soooo disgusting) I've reached out to corporate and still awaiting a response. My family and I are never going to an Islands Restaurant again. Worst experience ever. read more

I order pina colada but when the drink arrived, the glass has a lot of cracks and they even forget to put the cherry on top. They need to replace their utensils because it look old and has a lot of cracks. They even got my order wrong. I've been a customer of them since 2010. What a let down. read more

Disappointed lunch. Burger was presented as large and stuffed but patty was so small and insignificant as well as flavorless. Cost was crazy $14.99 becuz I asked for avocado. Onion rings were over cooked and bread crumbs fell off. Diet Coke was watery. The only thing that tasted good were the fries. Go to Red Robin or shake shake or five guys if you want a good burger. read more

The only con I can come up with is...I never have any room for desert? Because the food really hits home-runs, and every time Mom and I pay a visit, the service is spot-on. Service can be a hit-or-miss in restaurants, but luckily we've been fortunate to have friendly, attentive hosts. The food presentation lets you know you're in for a real treat. Fries are always hot, crispy and flavorful. They're never too salty or weak on the flavor. And you can't beat a brownie sundae that's about $3. Will definitely be back. Haven't had a bad experience yet, so why not go back? read more

Great food and great service!! The staff is always so friendly here and of course everything on the menu is tasty! The inside of the restaurant is a relaxing beach feel and there is an outdoor patio that faces one of the entrances to shops, so if you like to people watch this might be your go to. There is a bar inside as well! I usually eat their burgers but today I had the fish tacos and they were sooo good! You can't really go wrong in food choices at this restaurant!! read more

I'm never disappointed with the food at Islands and the service is typically really good, so I'm a happy returning customer. I just felt so compelled to leave a review for the most phenomenal service I've had in awhile. The place was buzzing when we arrived on a Friday night, we were seated in Zachary's section. He'd clearly been hustling and when he noticed we were seated, he was attentive, detail- oriented, kind, friendly and engaging (even amongst the busyness) for the rest of our visit. Thank you, Zachary!!! read more

First time. I ordered togo. A wave burger with truffle fries and kob salad. I'm really impressed. Everything turned out good considering it was boxed up. The fries were still crisp. I accidentally put the truffle aioli on my salad! It was amazing! The dressing that comes with it was still impressive. The burger was big and the salad was too. Service was excellent. I will be back to try the other items that look exciting. read more

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant! Best burgers, great (crispy- double fried) french fries. I go here as much as I can. I drive 30 minutes for their p e r f e c t Hawaiian burger. It's to die for! I am a burger type of girl; and let me tell you, these burgers are great! I have been coming to the islands since I was a kid with my mom. Cute island atmosphere. Fast and friendly service. Burgers are always on point. read more

My husband and I stopped for a quick bite to eat. My "medium" Maui Burger was overcooked not once but twice...which is not a big deal. The bartender and manager really went the extra mile to take care of us! Not only did they comp the burger from our bill, but gave us an Islands gift card to go back another time with. - I have never experienced such a generous make-up for a couple of small kitchen errors. - We will definitely go back because the staff made such a valiant effort to make it right. Now if only they'd make their burgers big again....but that's a different review :) read more

Took my wife and kids here, and could not be more impressed with the amazing service. This restaurant does it right! One of my picky eaters didn't think there was enough on the menu, so maybe toss a kids menu on there with the generic pizza/nuggets? The waitstaff are super professional and all wearing masks, with the COVID nonsense going on. Highly recommend; the food was delicious! Plenty to take home too. read more

I have had a pleasant experience with this restaurant several years ago. I was excited to try it out again. This was about the worst experience I have had in a long time. I met my aunt and uncle there. The first thing we noticed was the music was very loud. It was hard to visit. The waitress took our order in a timely basis. But after that it went downhill. They brought our food out, not our waitress and then left. She did not come by to check on us. We needed napkins which we got up and actually got them. The burgers looked great. But my fries looked like leftovers from last night and were just about as cold Again, my brother got up to tell the waitress that we needed fresh fries. Did she come back to check on us, nope. I was about done with my burger when the fries came. Yes hot. Then my aunt and uncle needed a to go box. Again, I had to get up and get them. This is when I noticed several of the services in the kitchen just laughing and socializing. The place was not busy so there is no excuse for bad service. We also noticed the manager, young male, who did notice all of this happening. Did he take action, nope. I asked to speak to the manager. I watched him tell her something. She came back and said he would be there soon. However, I did notice that everyone thought it was funny. Nice. Well, my money can go somewhere else, and I will never go to the Desert Ridge location. In fact, I will probably never go to the Islands again. PS. The Burgers at the Red Robin at Superstition Spring location are way better than this place. Oh yes, the service is too read more

I was with a group of seven older ladies who had just seen a movie at Desert Ridge and wanted to have dinner. One of the places we wanted to try had an hour-long wait, and the other (the Yardhouse) was way too noisy for us. So we decided to give Islands a try. They got us a table right away, and we all enjoyed our dinners. Very friendly staff, and efficient too. I had the best Cobb salad I have ever had in a restaurant! read more

Corporate food thats not half bad. Second time we have been here, the burgers are very good as are the fries. The fish taco is very stodgy as its like a heavy english style fish-in-chip fish portion that sits on a bland corporate corn tortilla.....not a favorite choice of mine. The service was excellent and its not a bad place at all. Great stop after the movies! read more

Came here midweek to get those Island feelings pre Willie K concert at the MIM. The former is a Hawaiin musician which inspired us to give this over the top chain restaurant a whirl. Happy Hour was a good deal. Mai Tais - great Sliders-exceptional Quesadilla- I don't like salsa inside my Q, it is off putting Poke- nicely seasoned but cut too large and cut unevenly. One piece huge, another miniscule.. it was annoying in the mouth. Service pleasant. We will return if the stars ever align in which we are going to the MIM to see another Hawaiin musician and are hungry. read more

We were very impressed with the decor, service and burgers here. The fries (unlimited) are as good if not better then McDonald's which says a lot! Great service and food. Our daughter has severe food allergies (egg, dairy, peanuts, and tree nuts) which makes traveling and eating out extra difficult. We called ahead and reviewed the allergy menu online before coming in. Our waitstaff made sure to detail her food order and it was cooked and served without issue. She was able to eat a burger patty, fries, chips and guacamole and said it was delicious. It is a huge relief to eat somewhere as a family that takes such diligent care. Thank you! read more

Came here for dinner with a co-worker. Not promising at first as it Seems a bit of a throwback to a themed restaurant inside from the 90's. As there was no one at the front to seat us, we went over to the bar and in short order a very friendly server came over and took our order. The beer list was a bit short, but I did find one I liked on tap and The food was better than I expected, so if in the area I would come here again. read more
