Great little Florida style souvenir shop. The store is very expansive and also includes on the second side and ice cream and coffee shop. From magnets to wooden benches, what I like most is that they feature items from local artists at a great price. Staff is friendly and the place is orderly and clean.

Fantastic! 16 awesome ice cream flavors! Maybe 500,000 items in this store. People helping us were outstanding.

They even thanked us for being patient as the line was from end to end in the store (Dock Street is quite popular, especially during the festival).

I stopped on this particular day because I was looking for a Cedar Key magnet to add to my growing collection of magnets. Dilly Dally Gally is a quaint beach gift shop located on Dock Street, right on the main drag of Cedar Key closest to the ocean. The building has a lot of charm of an older beach town spot, with worn wood and older structures. Though store has that charming appeal, but is modern and clean on the inside. Around this area of Cedar Key, there are parking spots and smaller lots. However, this store specifically does not have their own lot. There are street spaces near the entrance. We visited on a Wednesday morning in July, and were able to grab a spot on the street very close. However, if you are going during an evening or a busier time, you might have to park farther away and walk to the store. There are sidewalks and it is generally very walkable around this area, so that should not be a big deal. There were a few other customers shopping around when we visited, but it was in no way crowded. This store is a little narrow, as it is just the nature of an older building. However, even with others shopping, I still had plenty of space to roam and browse. This store is what you would expect out of a beachside gift shop. They have Cedar Key-branded merchandise, some fun novelty items, general beach-themed clothing, along with jewelry and other handmade items. It is fun to move from room to room in the shop and look at everything they have to offer. There was a room with sale items, and plenty of options for both children and adults throughout. There were also various racks located on the dock areas outside, so there is no lack of merchandise here! I ended up purchasing a ceramic magnet with manatees on it that reads "Cedar Key" to add to my collection, and commemorate this trip. We also bought a dish towel with a black lab on it to hang in our kitchen at home. The total for both of our items was around $17 or $18, which I thought was a great value. It seemed like the prices here were reasonable and fair for all items, considering this is a gift shop in a touristy area. The ladies who were working on this day were very kind and pleasant to talk to. They gave suggestions and made conversation when we were checking out. We talked with them about the rebuild of Cedar Key after the storm that came through in 2024. It was interesting to hear some of this from locals. As stated, I have visited this store before. We come to the area at least once a year to visit family that live in nearby Chiefland. At least once or twice while we are in town, we make our way down to Cedar Key to spend time. Being from the northern part of the country, I just adore this town and all its charm. It is a beach town, but not over commercialized or crowded. It would truly be a great vacation spot, and stores like Dilly Dally Gally help to make it what it is. It was so wonderful to see this store still standing and operating after the storms that hit last year. It is clear a lot of surrounding businesses were not so lucky, but the Dilly Dally Gally remains. I hope for the community and businesses that the rebuild continues, and shops and restaurants start to return soon. I would highly recommend stopping here if you find yourself near Cedar Key. Not only will you be supporting a small business, but helping to keep tourism and economy alive in this town that could use it after all that has happened. Plus, you will discover such a unique place if you have never been! Really enjoyed this visit to the Dilly Dally Gally, and I will be back during my next trip to the area.

I picked up something for a friend and my son had bought something for his dad. While walking around I had taken pictures impressed with the variety of items in the store. It is a bit pricey which is understandable for a gift shop. I do believe that they have some quality products but the sales people I found very rude. I had been taken pictures of their lovely store and I was questioned about it. The sales lady had informed me that they have a local magazine and do not need reviews. I asked her if they liked to hear praise about their products and how kind the sales people are treating everyone. She had no reaction, I personally wouldn't go back but what a beautiful selection of everything! When I went to checkout it was busy because it is a great little shop and the woman behind the counter was much better. Fantastic selection, in need of better sales people. While visiting family nearby in Chiefland, we stopped into Cedar Key one morning before our trip concluded. It was a Wednesday in July, and overall the area was not super busy. We came up to The Prickly Palm around noon on a Wednesday in July, and were one of a few customers there. This coffee trailer is located in the main part of Cedar Key. I recently learned that they used to have a brick and mortar, but that was unfortunately destroyed by the hurricane last year. Despite this, their trailer and whole current set-up is very cute and inviting. The trailer is set up along 2nd Street, and sits in the back of the lot. You will see a sandwich board sign indicating where the lot is, along with a ton of outdoor seating under tents. There is not a dedicated parking lot specifically for The Prickly Pear, but we had no issue finding street parking right near the entrance. The menu here is very diverse and full of variety! Not only do they have coffee, but there are also smoothies, açaí bowls, milkshakes, and breakfast items. I was especially impressed with the variety of flavoring for the coffees. Sometimes, places only have a few flavors. However, there was a solid collection of flavors and different combinations marketed for customers to choose from! It seems like there are seasonal options available, as they had a lot of banana coffee options on this particular day. I appreciated the different sizing options for the coffee. Especially for the iced, as typically a lot of local coffee places do not have bigger sizes (comparable to a Dunkin or Starbucks). The Large Iced is 32OZ, which was a pleasant surprise! They did seem to have a size for everyone, whether they want a lot of coffee or just a regular amount. I personally ended up ordering a Large Iced Banana Nut Mocha Latte, but requested half of the syrups to tone down the sweetness. It was really good! I am iffy at times on banana flavoring, as I am not a fan of artificial banana. Even so, I liked this latte and enjoyed it throughout the afternoon. The others I was with all enjoyed their drinks as well! This was my first time visiting here, and the employees could not have been more welcoming! I asked for recommendations and their favorites, and they gave a lot of good suggestions and information. There were three of us total, each getting a large latte or cold brew. The total was a little under $30 for all of it. So, this place is a little more expensive than other spots, but I do believe the value is there. Plus, you are supporting a small business which is a win! Loved visiting The Prickly Palm for the first time. We tend to come to the area at least once a year, and I look forward to our next visit so I can make another trip to The Prickly Palm for a delicious latte! I would recommend giving this spot a try if you find yourself in Cedar Key.
