Beef Patty in coco bread with cheese (cut in half)

Ordered via GH, and food came on time. If you're asking, what's this Asian girl know about Jamaican food? Well, my cousins are half Jamaican, and I've sampled plenty of Caribbean dishes. That's why! Here's our order along with feedback! 1. Beef Patty with cheese in coco bread: Beef Patty was mild tasting, so anyfirst-timee tryers can absolutely enjoy. Personally, I like a lot of spices but was still delicious. It came hot and bread was warm, cheese was stretchy. 2. Curry goat with roti: curry flavor was on point, a good amount of goat pieces and it came with a side of steamed cabbage. Roti was huge so, no need to get an extra order. 3. Jerk chicken with rice and beans with cabbage: chicken was spiced up and you can definitely taste the flavors and heat. It might be because food was prepared earlier, but chicken itself was dry, which is a shame because the seasoning was good. Rice and beans was actually really good! There were some claims of food poisoning and I really hope those diners are okay. My first time experience, we had hot, cooked through food. We also ordered some Jamaican dumplings but I guess they ran out but they quickly submitted a refund for that. Great service and 4/5 stars on food. Is it the best I've had? Probably not but much better than expected.

This is my first time attending here. Over the weekend I went to the one in Wyandanch. It was a nice restaurant so i decided to try here. The staff was talking on the phone her persona came off as she didn't want to be there. My husband asked is how spicy is the chicken she said it's Jerk Chicken. So it left my husband wondering how spicy is the chicken . Prices are average and not expensive. Would I go back? Yes but I do feel the staff could be more friendlier. They are a representation of that business and the experience is a lot better when the customer service is on point.

Have been to this location many times before. I ordered the goat with rice and beans this time. It was good but the chef was a bit heavy handed on the spices. I couldnt feel my lips it was so spicy and hot. Nose was running. Lol. Overall it was good. Bad part was my sister found hair in her food. Ugg. That was not good news to me. I don't think I will be going back to this restaurant.

Callaloo and saltfish with boiled dumplings, green banana and yams. Yum!

I love Jamaican breakfast. Breakfast here is delicious, lunch is good too, plus killer mac and cheese. Definitely a go to spot.

Heres the rancid mac and cheese.

I ordered food from here and it was rancid and gave me. Food poisoning. The mac and cheese tasted like week expired curdled milk and I spit out whag I taste and I tossed it. I ate the oxtails and rice and beans they tasted dry and not fresh and I wound up with food poisoning and am super sick now so obviously thst was old too. I called the restaurant to tell them and thet didnt even say they were sorry.

From the outside it looks small but the inside was big enough to seat 15-20 people. The server was very helpful with explaining what ever this was and gave me some good suggestions. I ended up having the legumes, black rice and Mac and cheese. The legumes is a veggie stew with meat. The flavor is so rich, deep and delicious. I've never had a veggie stew that made me want to go back for more. The black rice was so good you could eat it by itself. The Mac and cheese was also good. The portion of the dishes were so big for the price. Big enough that I shared it with someone and was able to eat from it 4 times total. Being from BK, I thought we had the best Caribbean food but now I can see that's not true because this restaurant was too good! I will definitely go back for more!

Do not confuse this dish with Jamaican Callaloo, which is made from taro (dasheen) leaves and is often combined with salt fish. The owners make their own passionfruit and ginger juice. The ginger juice is potent. It is stronger than any ginger beer that I have ever tasted. I have to dilute it with some water. I am only giving this deli three stars because it is a new business that must iron out some kinks. For one, sometimes all the daily specials are not put out by noon. Number two, the interior design needs updating.

During my last visit, I purchased a few items, including some patties. Given my allergy to fish, I specifically asked the lady at the front what type of meat was in the patties. She confidently opened a few and assured me that they contained chicken. Trusting her word, I took home nearly a dozen, only to discover that all of them was filled with fish. This was not just a minor oversight; it was a serious health risk for someone with my allergy. When I called to address the issue, the response was far from satisfactory. I was told to bring the patties back for a refund. Upon my return, the same lady argued with me about the missing patties, insisting that I should not receive a full refund because two were unaccounted for. I explained that one was eaten and the other was consumed by my family, but the crux of the matter was that I was misled about the contents. After a frustrating exchange, I finally received my money back, but the experience left a sour taste in my mouth--both literally and figuratively. I can't help but worry that the patties I returned will be resold to unsuspecting customers. This incident has made it clear to me that Paradise Caribbean has taken a downward spiral in both food quality and customer service. I will not be returning to this establishment again, and I urge others to be cautious if they choose to dine here.
