The pool deck is transformed, even my pool service man was surprised that it could be so totally redone in such a timely manner. I also had my pool resurfaced by another local company, Oceanside Pools. Everyone from Heller Concrete showed up when they promised (a BIG deal when dealing with contractors!). They cleaned up nicely afterwards and only minimally disturbed my plantings. Heller Complaint Follow-up…read more It came as no surprise that Heller Concrete could secure a recommendation from a satisfied customer in response to my complaint about his terrible work. Of course he has satisfied customers. If he hadn't had and I hadn't relied upon recommendations I wouldn't have hired him in the first place. So, positive experiences do nothing to undercut the validity of my complaint. Mr. Heller might better improve his standing in the community if he took the time and interest to deal properly with dissatisfied customers. Not…read moreonly did Mike answer the phone, but he also took time out to talk with us, get information on what we needed done, and make arrangements to go check on our home. His friendliness won us over, but what ultimately impressed us was his thorough communication, his skill/attention to detail, and his prices, which we found to be more than fair. We hired him to replace our roof, fascia and soffits, and he did a standout job. (See photos.) He demonstrated a sincere desire to work (and work hard), and we appreciated all the photos he sent us before, during, and after the work was done. (That was especially reassuring since we weren't there to see it in person.) We can't recommend him highly enough!

Michael Radan cheated us out of $3,300. We hired him to repair our deck in Avon, NC and gave him a…read moredeposit of $3,300 in Oct. 2019. He indicated he could not do the work right away. Initially he would return emails and texts. Then he ghosted us, and kept the entire $3,300 for doing absolutely NO work. We took him to small claims court in Dare Co. and won the case against him -- but we have not been able to recover one penny from him. You can check the court records. It's disheartening. He is a thief.

We agreed on the price, he then sent me a contract via email indicating the terms discussed. I signed the contract and emailed it back. He called to say he misspoke, he meant 2" not 3". Now he's the owner and should know what he says. Been waiting a month so far and he won't return voicemails or texts. Completely lied, wasted my time and then ghosted me. I don't have a clue why he operates this way. I would highly recommend to anyone not to hire Rudy because he is dishonest. I have the call logs and contract to prove it. He is extremely unreliable and unprofessional. Possibly the worst contractor I've ever dealt with in my life.
