Lucas S. placed a bid on the job which was a flat fee; no hassles. I appreciated his pricing for the job as it was a fair price for the scope of the assignment. On the first day, Lucas S. arrived at the job site on time and ready to go. He skillfully removed all the old mortar from between the bricks and prepared the steps for the acceptance of the new mortar. The following day Lucas arrived to fill in the color matched new mortar surrounding the bricks. He took meticulous care to ensure that all the bricks were filled with new mortar and were aligned properly. The bricks and mortar were allowed to set for full day to ensure the structural integrity of the steps were properly secured. On the third day Lucas arrived to apply a chemical solution to remove any excess grout and dust film that had accumulated during the work. The steps were restored to look brand new. Lucas cleaned up the job site ensuring all the dust and debris was removed to my satisfaction. The lintel above my garage, which is the long piece of metal that spans the width of the garage and holds up the brick above the garage door, was sagging, which means the bricks were also sagging, no longer straight or level, and the grout was cracking severely on both sides. Clearly the original builder used a lintel that was too short, it only overlapped the sides by a few inches and it should overlap by about a foot. I was concerned the bricked above the garage could collapse and come crashing down. See all the pictures. Michael came out to asses, gave me a price right then and there m, and we made the deal on a handshake. He came to the house when he said he would each time, communicated regularly via text and in person, brought out his extremely capable mason team when needed and got the job done in reasonable time with incredible results. They removed and reset each individual brick, every row of bricks above my garage all the way up to the roof, and they *cleaned and reused* every brick so they would match the rest of the house perfectly. The end result is truly astonishing, it actually looks better, straighter and more uniform, than I could have imagined, it literally looks better than new. See photos. We were not disappointed. Mr. Griffin personally supervised the job. They protected the site during demo and construction. Other firms received one star reviews for ruts and dents to lawns. Mr. Griffin used plywood over our grass to limit the impact to our lawn. Griffin Concrete uses a better subbase prior to pouring the concrete and a better type of concrete. The color was what we requested and the type of sealer used makes the color pop. We are extremely satisfied.

ABR price was fair, one company wanted 1500.00 for one door and did not even come to the house, 3rd guy never showed up. Grady and his team were and are great, paid attention to detail and cleaned up each day. ABR used hot dipped galvanized replacement iron. Do your self a favor, get a quote and have a conversation with Grady, he knows his trade well. They also repaired the chimney cap and pointed up the brick joints while here at my request. All in 95 to 97 degree heat.
