My mini split had stopped blowing cool air…read moreand after either overpriced, flaky, or predatory A/C contractors I decided to try a search using AI (Google's Gemini) to search with a focus on owner/operator companies that get it right the first time. Gemini spit out several recommendations but I picked Julian because he was a veteran. Julian surely did the right thing to standard. Unlike other contractors he fully disassembled my evaporator and cleaned it and proceeded to braze my refrigerant line on my blower. The culprit: an improperly installed new blower that the previous contractor (contractor #1) hadn't assembled to standard. The previous A/C guy had done the easy hook up with fasteners rather than the longer and more tedious way of brazing the connection. Lo and behold the leak was coming from a loose fastener. After that Julian proceeded to inspect and clean the rest of my blowers and even fixed a condensate return line that another contractor (contractor #2) had claimed that I had to swap the whole blower out. And frankly the biggest thing I appreciated was that Julian worked on my system at all! Contractor #2 had refused to touch my whole system unless they themselves had installed it. Also compared to another contractor (contractor #3) Julian was not pushy in buying new things. He was there to fix it. Contractor #3 had claimed that I needed a whole new system and quoted me at $14,000. Icing on the cake - contractor #3 had told me that no one in Hawaii would work on systems unless they themselves had installed it. Thank God for finding Julian and finding some sanity amongst the A/C contractors. Cherry on the cake was his pricing was very reasonable compared to other contractors.
