I loved our stay in Isla Verde. Beautiful land and playa (beach). So serene and peaceful. Clean and quaint. A Gorgeous beach front. People native to the land singing and playing instruments. The Coqui taking over the melodious tunes at night. A little touristy but still authentic. Close to San Juan and many other key areas for fun and excursions. Beautiful island and people are so frigging nice I didn't want to come back. Mostly bilingual speaking. Just all around Gorgeous.
This beach is beautiful! It's absolutely clean and precious. I hope everyone will continue to keep this beach clean and cherish it because it is gorgeous. There's so much space for everyone and depending on what side you're on, you can either get water sports, a part with just quiet peaceful vibes and an area with food trucks. The only downside to this beach is the parking is horrendous. Good luck finding a spot and if you do it will most likely be on sand and hopefully you don't get yelled at for it. I do love that you can get ice cream right on the beach as you're relaxing! The views and water are so clean and blue. I got to take a lot of beautiful pictures it's so scenic and beautiful I can't stress it enough, and they don't charge at this beach! Bonus points for that! I for sure have to visit this beach again.
This review started as 1 Star: Asked for 2 beach chairs & umbrella; none available. 5 minutes later, a lady approaches kiosk & given a beachchair. I approach the gentleman & asked "I thought you didn't have any?" He then indicated that the lady is the owner. Tourist come to support Puerto Rico's economy. The consumer pays the owner & the employees. I changed the review to 5 Stars after the owner had been waiting for available beachchairs. One of the employees approached us and let us know of their availability. Thank you, for taking care of your customers.
This beach is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous water with clean sand. There was no problem finding a place to sit and soak up the sun. There a few vendors that serve food on the beach so you don't have to leave if you are hungry which I really appreciated. I got empanadas from Sandra's Point then got a coconut from one of the local vendors. Paradise!
We were really looking forward to having lunch at this place, unfortunately the service did not match the food which was served. As soon as we got in the hostess barely acknowledged us, it almost felt like we were bothering her. Kind of hard to figure why this would be the case, we were the first ones there for lunch. We did not want to order a big lunch so we just went with a few tapas. We started with two empanadas a beef and a pork empanada. They were both absolutely delicious. We also had a charcuterie board with various types of ham and salamis. The board was huge and Very good. In addition we also ordered the grilled sausage which was very tasty along with a hot sauce/chimichurri sauce. Last but not least we ordered the croquetas which were delicious. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and had a very rustic appeal to it. It is unfortunate the service was lacking because the food was good.
It's Emancipation Holiday in Puerto Rico. The beach is crowded. Strong waves, cold water, powdery white sand. Palms line the top of the beach and provide perfect natural shade. Some BBQ stalls on the side. Beach chairs ($5.00) and umbrellas ($15.00) are for rent until 4:30pm only. Lots of restaurants around.
im in the obligation to write this review. Good customer service but they don't have enough personnel. I waited more than three hours for them to look for my car. They concentrate more on rentals (rentals they do not have due to the high demand). They do not have a good communication, organization, coordination or customer service, very dismissive. Not coming back!
Great beach if you want to be around people. Don't park on the street because you will get a ticket for $200. Park in the parking garage behind the CVS that is right across the street and buy something at CVS for a parking discount. Highly recommend grabbing drinks at lifeguards, food at Alambique, and renting an umbrella for $10 if you don't bring one
Every review I've posted of beaches... just keeps getting better and better! I am in love with the beaches in Puerto Rico! The water is so clean, the sand is so soft and pretty, and the best part of all, the waves aren't too crazy! We were able to rent jet skis and a banana boat and we had so much fun! The jet skis were $80 per person to rent for 30 minutes (but my uncle and his communication skills got us an extra 15 minutes per jet ski!). The banana boat fits 12 people and costs $20 to rent per person for 20 minutes! My whole body is sore, especially my jaw from getting KO'ed in the face by a passenger's foot who sat in front of me. I really passed out and saw the light for a good 30 seconds. Pretty dangerous but definitely really fun. They purposely try to knock you off the banana boat but that's the whole purpose for it! I can't wait to continue exploring more around Puerto Rico!

Beautiful beach in San Juan area. It wasn't overly crowded when I went with my crew of 10+ friends. They have beach chairs and umbrella rental service and jet skiing and banana boats as well. Very clean from what I could tell. Several fast food stands + some restaurants right off the beach. Plus a huge Puerto Rican flag, perfect for a cute photo opp. Would def visit again! read more
Isla Verda Beach to me is definitely more family oriented. Come early and enjoy the sun and the ocean breeze people come to you selling empanadas, amazing bicocho, pouched liquor drinks without even getting off the sand. You feel very safe with the locals no sketchy people and nothing to worry about. Parking on the street if you're driving in. read more
Isle Verde isn't all that it's cracked up to be because there is zero parking and the cops are hounding the area for parking violations, but why??? We are here spending money and just wanna enjoy the beach. Chill! I mean the cop who was about to ticket us was super nice like 99.9% of the people in PR but it did put a dent in our plans because we had initially parked a mile away only to find a beach with access but the tide was super high due to those damn full moons lol so we walked back and got the car and looked for another place to park with beach access. So after finding a nice little beach to chill I look back and see a cop about to write us a ticket and my beautiful gf ran up and he told her to move it. Thanks my guy! Anyways, they need to create more parking in the area so people can enjoy the beautiful beaches here. If you are staying at one of the many hotels in the area or on the beach that's a whole different story because all you have to do is walk out the door and boom, beach thirty. But, if you're like us and wanted to check out every beach while staying in Condado you might wanna rent a scooter or Uber here because parking is nonexistent. Needless to say the little time we did get to spend here was sweet. I love you Puerto Rico :) read more

One of the best beaches! The beach is clean, there's restaurants, bars, supermarkets, pharmacies and casinos all in walking distance. read more
Great beach if you want to be around people. Don't park on the street because you will get a ticket for $200. Every review I've posted of beaches... just keeps getting better and better! I am in love with the beaches in Puerto Rico! The water is so clean, the sand is so soft and pretty, and the best part of all, the waves aren't too crazy! We were able to rent jet skis and a banana boat and we had so much fun! Isla Verde Beach in Carolina is a beautiful and well maintained beach that is a great destination for a fun beach adventure. I really like the location and atmosphere here with the sand and water. I have enjoyed this beach every time I have been here. Well worth a visit. read more

My favorite beach that I visited in SJ. Big enough for people to spread out, clean, nice palm trees, and beautiful water. The water was nice and warm with the perfect amount of waves when I visited in mid-January. This beach has a great vibe to it and watching the sunset was a great end to the day. read more

Beach was great ! 10min max ride from condado. You are able to bring your own food, snacks and drinks. Jet skiing is available at the beach. There is a Nice variety of food on the strip of the beach. It's Nice and clean! there are food vendors on the beach closest to the entry. Not sure if they stay in a permanent spot but its the second stand to the right of the entrance, sells Pinos (chicken kabobs) and Empanadas (beef and chicken) ,chicken was our favorite, and alcoholic and non alcoholic pina coladas. Every thing is 3-4$ Chain (4$)and umbrella rentals (10$) for the day ! read more

The beach on Isla Verde is absolutely gorgeous although the currents can be strong in the early morning and late evening. There is so much to do in this part of the city and it is so close to the airport. The only thing is the driving is crazy! People will cut you off left and right and squeeze in when it is very dangerous to do so. It is better to take a cab or bus in this part of San Juan! read more

Beautiful beach, warm and clean water! Fun water sports! There is a gentleman pushing an ice cream cart selling the most delicious coconut ice cream for a hot summer day! People playing music, family oriented, having ice cold beers! No drama! Safe, but not being hawked by police. I am staying at the Hilton and there are too many rules on that private beach. It was a nice change for the day. I loved it and highly recommend it. read more

This is our third time here. Two of the times we stayed in a condo with beach views. There has been a little erosion since Maria, but this beach remains beautiful, one of the most popular, and great for visiting the beach, wading, fighting the surf and sports, from kayaking to jet skiing to surfing to boating to para sailing, with rentals available for any beach sport. Kayaking to the little Isla Verde island is my favorite activity. Importantly, the neighborhood has great places to eat or be entertained, as well as some great upscale hotels, including the luxurious El San Juan Hotel to the WBC with its rooftop bar. There are great places to eat, from eating on the beach to just behind at Alambique, to Platos to the Metropol, with plenty of sports bars and good places for breakfast and lunch. We have yet found a bad place to eat. Especially important is that there are many VRBO condos at good prices and I recommend the ones facing the beach with beach view. You can stay near this beach and walk to find everything you will ever need for a vacation and until you want to visit other parts of the island, you won't even need a car. read more
