I scheduled a time block and arrived about 15 minutes early. The Instructor seemed a little put out and said you're only 30 minutes late. I said I didn't realize you wanted me here 45 minutes before my time block. The Instructor then went to a calendar and asked my name again, and said "Oh I guess you are early, well let's go." I thought to myself I'm not going to let his bad day ruin mine. As we walked over to the simulator his attitude completely changed. It turned into a great experience. I just recently took my Private Pilot Knowledge Test and the facility and staff are great. The staff takes there jobs very serious, but are very friendly. I was actually very impressed by the search prior to and after the exam. Very professional and explained everything prior to the test. Another great experience wish I lived closer.

When I went to fire the engine up to come home, nothing. The battery was dead, and the FBO had no start cart for a piston engine. I'm basically dead in the water. None of the mechanics shops are open, and hand propping is never a great option. I was busy calling every business on the field, and it was Above All to the rescue. Joel got stuff together, drove to my plane. He was exceptionally careful, and we talked about what we were going to do before starting. Long story short, the engine was started, and I was on my with minimal delay. I can highly recommend Above All for going above and beyond, and attention to safety.

Had so much fun hang gliding today. We took off at a little over 3500 feet and were able to climb…read moreto over 4000 feet. We were higher than the airplanes on landing approach to Burbank airport. We flew with some turkey vultures in the area. This is the closest experience to flying like a bird. My instructor has flown over 10000 flights so I was in good hands. Lately I've been doing a lot of daredevil activities and came across hang gliding. I previously did…read moreparagliding at La Jolla it was okay but hang gliding seemed to be more fun and extreme. I arrived at the glider port and then the instructor who was very nice Andy the owner came. We took a 40m drive to the glider port the team set everything up. Watched video on a iPad for quick training it was very simple instructions even kids can learn. We were up 35-40 high went fast, circled around and landed on the ground safe. Willie was my tandem pilot his landing style is very graceful and you land on your feet while Andy the former airplane pilot expert likes to land on wheels it was pretty cool. I'm really excited to get home and watch the gro pro footages of our mountain tandem hang gliding.

He made sure I was aware of every step and explained everything to me in a manner that made sense! There were extensive gear checks and he vocalized each time what he was checking. The jump itself was exhilarating! I didn't experience any roller coaster drop feelings. One thing that I did experience that I wasn't aware would happen, but it makes sense now. If your ears are sensitive to pressure changes- the pressure in your ears might be a tad bit uncomfortable. This may be specific to the 18,000 ft, but better to be prepared! I decided to get the video add on and I'm so glad I did! The facility was comfortable and all the staff was so kind!! I've spent a good deal of time on the phone talking to Betsy who has been so wonderful answering all my questions! Fast forward to today. My experience at Skydive Santa Barbara was unexpectedly impactful on my life. It's all I've talked about since that day. I'll be going back to start the process of getting my license. If you've ever thought to try skydiving, I couldn't recommend this place enough!! Take the jump, you won't regret it!!

The staff initially told me that because the river rapids were strong, I could reschedule. When I explained that I already knew the trail and was comfortable hiking it with my dog, they told me it was fine for me to hike and jump on my own, just not with the group. I agreed to those terms. However, when my brother became afraid to cross the river rapids, we had to turn back. I then called the company to try to reschedule my jump. Unfortunately, the person I spoke with on the phone was extremely rude and disrespectful. While I was trying to explain the situation, he repeatedly interrupted me and told me to "stop talking" and "let me speak." He also asked strange and unrelated questions like "how many heartbeats were with you" and "how many souls," which felt very unprofessional and made the conversation uncomfortable since it did not relate to what I was trying to achieve (which was for me to reschedule). He overall tried to make me feel stupid for no apparent reason. He was trying very hard to act tough on the phone call, which I wish he would've done in person. (Doubt he would have, he was all bark on the phone) At one point during the conversation he hung up on me. When I tried calling back from my phone number, he would not answer my calls, and I had to call again from a different phone just to reach someone. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when my boyfriend called back afterward to speak with the same person, he was treated respectfully and the conversation was completely different. Based on that experience, it unfortunately felt like I was treated with far less respect as a woman than my boyfriend was. He most likely thought he could walk all over me as a female. (Again he probably wouldn't have done that in person) I understand that policies and scheduling issues can happen, but there is no reason for a customer to be treated this way. The lack of professionalism and respect during this interaction left a very negative impression of this company. DO BETTER!!

How often do you have the opportunity to board a small open hangar craft and feel the wind blow by you as you soar over the world beneath you?! Not often at all. Mike was our pilot. He must be one of the friendliest guys I've ever encountered in quite some time. He gave us some nifty leather caps and a mic set so we could talk and hear from each other throughout the flight. You can tell Mike really gets a kick out of the joy others experience through flying with him. What I appreciated the most about this experience was how the plane was constructed. Amazing and fun!…read more Service: Great service overall, from the check in counter to the people driving the boat. A special shout out to Mark and Vinny who took us on the boat out to parasail. They were wonderful, fun, and professional the entire time. It felt both comfortable and exciting at the same time which I thoroughly enjoyed. Experience: This was my 3rd time parasailing and personally, this was the best place. The whole experience took about 1.5 hours so you have ample time to spend time on the water and soak in the sun while other parties are up in the air. It was a very fun experience overall and I will forsure be returning this summer. Parking: There's a Parking lot right by the boat rental which was very convenient. Finding the boat rental place from the parking is very easy too! Overall, 5/5 experience. If you're in the area in the summer or want to do an exciting activity, this is it!
