When I called and found out that this had happened, I asked if we could buy the axle, have it shipped to the garage, and pay them to install it. The owner agreed, but then after I spent a number of hours finding one, he said he wanted me to order it from him so he could get a mark-up on it. After the axle arrived, they took weeks and weeks to make the repair. I would call once or twice a week and received a "we'll have it done by..." There always a different excuse about why they could not complete the job, like: one of our mechanics was out, one of our trucks broke down, we got jammed up with other work, etc. Everything but "the dog ate it." I would not recommend this shop unless you like to ping them time after time while you wait week after week for your vehicle to be repaired.

This man is a SAINT sent from the heavens above to help buffoons like me…read more I hit a pothole on Liberty Ave at ~6pm on a Wednesday and blew out my tire immediately. As I tried to get the spare tire on, the car rolled off the jack and slammed on the ground (yikes)! I was in a rush and needed help fast because I couldn't get the jack back under the car. So I called Tom, who happened to be the first Google result for a tow. He was literally just down the road and got to me within less than 10 minutes of calling. He knew exactly what to do. He used his MUCH BETTER jack to get my car up and put the spare tire on in maybe 1-2 minutes. I was back on the road and was still EARLY to my appointment. He saved me a world of headache and I could not be more appreciative. I'm keeping his card in my glove box and calling him if anything ever happens again!
