I was nervous as I am always about a new gym, especially them knowing that I am only dropping in. That didn't stop me from making pals at this place. The 5 am crew are tight and friendly. The first time that I entered this gym I was approached by who I thought was a member saying " hello new person" this was Joey who I think is one of the head coaches, I think. It didn't take long for him to learn my name. I was also able to me Greta, she is the normal 5 am Coach. Greta, seriously changed my life when she told me to think like a scarecrow when doing a snatch if you are a crossfiter you know that it only takes one person to tell you how to do a movement that can change the way you have been doing everything, and she did! I seriously fell in love with this place, the challenging workouts coupled with the friendly atmosphere, I would totally recommend this place! It does not matter where you are at psychically, go check out Carolina Crossfit, as they will happily help you get where you would like to be!! If i end up back in South Carolina for an extended period of time trust me I will be back to CCF.

I was always intimidated by large gyms, and the one-on-one attention I receive at Advanced Personal Training is beyond compare. Reasonable rates, too!

You prepay for a fixed number of days (you choose) every month, everything is transparent, and you get circuit routines designed by Wally every week; which can modified for someone post-physical therapy or for someone training competitively - this is where the trainer's watchful eye comes in. While consistency is key to any fitness routine or gym, a good trainer and a friendly community can make this change easier, faster and injury-free. One of the best gyms in Augusta!

Fast-forward to 2019 and I find myself in Augusta, Georgia with a few PACKED gyms on Fort Gordon. I decided to join this location in March 2019 and have not regretted this decision one bit. 99% of the members there are super friendly and accommodating with equipment. There is a bunch of new machines and the space is well utilized. I find the restrooms to be always super clean and well stocked with the essentials. They have two Smith machines and two separate squat racks that can be utilized as bench presses as well. Free weights go up to, I think, 140 pounds (never gone past 80 lol). There is a nice leg press machine that has up to sixteen 45-pound plates. That brings me to probably the best attribute of the gym, the staff. Crystal and Cici have always been helpful to all my fitness needs. I believe it was the first month or so I was there, I requested a new foam roller that was stiffer and had knobs and Crystal ordered one and had it in the gym within 3 days (going to miss that thing). Also I can't count the times they have sold me pre-workout when I forgot or was too lazy to bring my own :) . There are also fitness classes geared towards all levels of fitness, I think there are free trials for those as well.
