Love my new-to-me dentist after (2 years & 5 visits). I found her very patient-centered, with a quirky charm and gentle manner with the right admix of good tools and modern science. Her recommendations of small changes (GUM Soft Picks, Arm Hammer toothpaste, brushing angle) have made a big difference in between visits. Office itself is a hidden gem: convenient to 80, 94,& 95 Bus, and the West Medford Commuter rail, yet has a french country farmhouse charm. I learned of Dr. Jaillet from Yelp after searching dentists in my area. I am about a 2-minute walk from her office, which is quite convenient for me having a 7 month old baby. I cracked my tooth on a Thursday night and called at 7:30am the next day, thinking I would leave a message and hope to get a call back. Not only did they answer the phone, but I was able to get an appointment for 10am that same day, even though I was not a current patient. Dr. Jaillet fixed my tooth to perfection and I have since been back for dental maintenance, after not seeing a dentist in about 4 years. Dr. Jaillet has been very welcoming, accommodating, and exceptional at educating me on my dental health. Now onto the rest of the staff.... I have had two appointments this week to get my teeth back in tip-top shape. Rather than having to find a last minute babysitter, the gals in the office allowed me to bring in my little peanut and they happily kept her company while I had my dental work completed. The process was just about an hour for each visit and they were my lifesavers! I'm sure they didn't sign up for babysitting when they decided to work at a dental office and I whole heartedly appreciate their kindness and accommodation of my situation. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Jaillet to everybody I know! Final Thoughts.... Having not been to the dentist in quite some time, I expected to receive a scolding and perhaps not be asked back! (My teeth are NOT that bad, I'm being a bit over dramatic) However, Dr. Jaillet did not scold me but she took the time to explain the importance of regular visits to the dentist. She also took the time to educate me on what is happening inside my mouth. She thoroughly inspected my teeth and decided on a plan of action. Sending me home with some light reading material (it was one side of a paper) and a goodie bag of treats for my teeth, I left feeling better about my dental health and reassured that I can and will be able to get back on track. I found Dr. Jaillet's office by chance, and could not be happier with the luck I had. I had not been to the dentist in over 8 years (terrible, terrible) and was honestly a little nervous about going. After doing some preliminary searching, I found Dr. Jaillet. I was a bit nervous since there was only one other review on Yelp, but as it turns out, that review was 100% accurate. The office is small, warm, and very friendly. Christina, the receptionist at the front is incredibly friendly and helpful. She has gone over everything with me on all of my visits, from what my insurance would pay, to giving her own experiences with different procedures, to giving her opinion on the best place to get coffee in the neighborhood. She sets an amazingly positive tone and helps you feel comfortable the moment you step into the office. On my first visit, I had Hilary as the dental assistant working with me. I've been back a couple of times since that first visit (apparently not going to the dentist for 8 years means you might need some extra work, shocking huh?) and have had some of the other dental assistants. They've all been fine, but Hilary was the best in my opinion. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and confident. Hilary did my x-rays (pretty quickly) and we chatted for a little as we waited for Dr. Jaillet to come in (no more than 5 minutes of waiting). Dr. Jaillet was very professional, gentle, and friendly. One of my biggest fears about going to the dentist after such a long time, was getting lectured about the fact that I haven't been going. This never happened. It was wonderful! Instead, the emphasis was put on how important it is to take care of your teeth and that "you're here now, and you're not going to wait 8 years between visits again" This was great for me because no one made me feel badly about myself or guilty. In fact, Dr. Jaillet seemed shocked to hear I hadn't been going to the dentist for almost a decade based on the fact that my teeth were pretty okay. Fantastic. As soon as you walk in the door, you feel comfortable and welcome. Christina is very friendly and a talker! (like me) If you are one to get nervous about going to the dentist, she will definitely put you at ease. The office itself is absolutely beautiful. Very clean and spacious. The decor, from the paint colors to the charming wall sconces, create a soothing atmosphere. Even the bathroom is pleasant. The dental assistant was friendly enough and was pretty quick with my x-rays. She chatted me up while going over my medical history. She said she hadn't been doing this that long, but so far, so good! Dr. Jaillet came in quickly and even apologized for making me wait - I wasn't waiting but 2 minutes. I hadn't really even noticed and definitely not minded. Her exam was very thorough and gentle. She went over oral hygiene with me and made me feel really good about my teeth. She was impressed in the condition of my teeth especially since I hadn't been to the dentist in a few years -(it's hard to find a good dentist, and after a bad experience who wants to deal with that again). I gave all the credit to my fancy Oral B sonic toothbrush. Anyway, Dr. Jaillet did the cleaning herself which really surprised me (in a good way) She again, was very thorough, using ultrasonic scaling and hand scaling. She was very gentle and kept asking me if I was OK. I was. :) She was great. Really gentle and professional, but personable as well. She answered any questions I had and anything I forgot to ask the doc was answered knowledgeably by Christina. I would recommend Dr. Jaillet to everyone...except people I hate. I walk into the practice and everyone is super friendly, meet with the Doctor and wish I had known of her practice sooner! Dr. Jaillet tells you like it is. Other dentists will say, "oh, your fine" and wait for your teeth to rot to then tell you, "oh wow, you need a root canal". No, Dr. Jaillet is not like that. She makes sure everything is taken care of before it gets worse. She's detail oriented and takes pride in her work. She also has a great personality. I highly recommend Dr. Jaillet! This dentist was perhaps the least professional dentist I have ever dealt with. I went in for an evaluation and she told me I had a cavity (I was also lectured in regards to basic dental care). Went in for the filling and she filled the cavity and told me I had yet an additional cavity. Same thing happened the next time, and IIRC Dr. Jaillet pressured me to get it filled then and there. I eventually refused and never went back, but the second filling involved her drilling down between two of my molars (which I've never experienced at any other dentist). This all happened several years ago and I still have issues because of the work that she did. I also spoke with another dentist after the second procedure and they suggested the work that was done was not appropriate. If you value your teeth go to another dentist. read more

This is the best dentist office I've ever been to. Very informative, very kind, very easy to deal with. She is an excellent dentist because she is a minimalist in her approach to what cavities should/don't need to be filled. She is also active in the dental education community, and I think this is why she is so current with best practices, recommendations, and why she is good about warning me about things that might become issues later if I don't watch them. read more

Absolutely not. I arrived for a routine cleaning having just moved here from Austin where I was religious about dental care, and after 30 minutes the dentist finally came in (no hygienist looks in your mouth first). I didn't mind except instead of doing the ordinary, this dentist plans something special for first time patients. No matter if you haven't visited a dentist in 20 years or are meticulous, you get a long-winded lecture complete with photos and a speech meant to teach 5th graders how to care for their teeth. Then you're told that the dentist will measure the pockets in your gums - all this without even looking in your mouth first to see if it's necessary, and that then she will recommend a "treatment". I actually left before she could do anything. My gut was telling me this sounded very much like a scam. She didn't ask anything remotely resembling someone trying to understand me as an individual and clearly has a canned speech for new patients to bilk them out of money for treatments they may not need. Found this place through yelp and was disappointed. They filled my boyfriends teeth with material they knew his insurance didnt cover after they told him his insurance would cover it. They then sent him the whole bill for $250. When I went in for my cleaning the hygienist was really nice but the doctor wasnt even there. Needless to say were no longer patients. read more

I have being a patient for Dr. Jaillet for over 10 years, always stayed with her when she moved from South Medford of Main street to her current location. Her personality is great. however I had a bad experience and called the office to resolve it for me. Currently her practice is outside my health network. Regards of loosing benefits from insurances due to in or out network, I still kept my loyalty to her. My last visit I did ask to office multiple times to make sure I have no additional charges before I get the work done Even Co-pays. I was assured that it is all covered. Only to get a bill few months Later. Even though it is a small amount. I was told by Bonnie that they wont do anything about it and I would have to take care of that. I pleaded my case, I felt whatever I had to say did not matter!!!!! It is very disappointing, that after 10 years of being a client, you are still treated with no sense of appreciation. I am very disappointed, frustrated that the office is not willing to work with me. I was due to get some fillings done, had it all planed to pay extra because my insurance will not cover most expenses. Now I have to start from scratch. SAD!!!!
