I…read moreonly wanted to explain what I needed and get a clear price before starting, but this took a long time and involved several different people. The technician who initially spoke with me asked what I wanted but then returned to finishing his existing clients. There was no clear timeline or communication about when my service would actually begin. Over an hour passed and my nail service had still not started. Pricing was given only after my pedicure had already begun, which made me feel obligated to continue even though I was uncomfortable with the timing. Because I had to leave for childcare pickup, I paid $50 and left with my acrylics removed and no polish on my pedicure. To be honest, my feet now feel rough, almost like sandpaper, which is what ultimately pushed me to leave this review. I wasn't planning to return regardless, but the unfinished and poor-quality pedicure made it hard to just let this go. Clear communication, upfront pricing, and respect for customers' time are basic expectations. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I won't be returning.

I first called as soon as I got off of work on a Friday around 545 (they closed at 7). I believe Anne answered the phone and I asked if anyone was available for a manicure and pedicure, she said sure! and told me to come right on in. I was worried they'd be super busy, I mean a nail salon on a Friday evening?! Ha! I was lucky. I arrive a few minutes later and the shop is located in a nice plaza with other shops and restaurants. Walked in and was immediately greeted by Anne. They asked me to pick my colors and directed me to a pedicure chair, which I was ELATED to see they use the plastic covers on their pedicure whirlpools. Not sure if that's a state board requirement now, BUT it's a must for me. They offered me something to drink, water, soda, or wine. Mr Justin immediately started on my manicure while I was receiving my pedicure. The pedicure was great! In addition to the basics, they do a leg mask, scrub, hot stones, AND massage! I paid $5 extra for the hot paraffin wax. Mr Justin conversed with me most of the time which was nice : ) then Ms. Anne came to polish. She did a great job and she's very nice also. I was recently TRAUMATIZED while traveling to Atlanta and received a terrible manicure and pedicure so I was pleased to come back home to Texas and NOT be disappointed. After polishing, Mr Justin came back over and gave a great massage to my hands & arms with lotion! Afterwards, I paid and was pleasantly surprised they didn't charge me through the roof for their services. The price was very reasonable, the types of prices that you're happy to tip generously and not so expensive that you're like 'dang I can't even afford to tip!...bye!' Lol I'd definitely go back to Best Nails!

I pulled back, because it hurt. She proceeded to cut again, and I said it's okay just leave it. She left it, but came back and cut again. Their banner outside says 30% off all services, however, when I was asking for prices they were trying to give me only 20%. After I specifically told them about the sign they said okay. I paid for my mother and myself and they only discounted 27%, not the full 30%. It's only 3%, but it's about the principle. I just adjusted the tip that I left because I was not too happy. The actual paint job was disappointing. I will not be going back.

I kept noticing some minor details like my skin peeling on the side or nail polish on my skin so I had to ask my technician to fix it several times. I didn't want to seem stuck up so I basically stopped asking because I noticed she was eager to assist the 3 customers that was waiting. I was also disappointed with how the tech cut a bit into my meat. I felt a burning sensation but I thought it was nothing until I inspected it carefully after I left. It turns out she cut in too deep when cutting my cuticle... I also didn't like how some of the nail polish was on my cuticle... I don't know, we spend money hoping to get a good job well done and I didn't feel that way after. My family thought the service was alright too. Overall I think this place is ok maybe a different tech next time.
