Dr. Irving Golombeck, DDS, came highly recommended to me as the finest prosthodontist in New York. I have a complex congenital dental condition that required someone with great skill, knowledge and expertise. I walked into Dr. Golombeck's office 32 years ago when I was 18 years old, ready for a full dental makeover. Now, no one would ever know I have any issues with my teeth! They look completely natural and I often hear, "You have beautiful teeth!" Over the years I have become acutely aware of the differences in the quality of cosmetic dentistry and Dr. Golombeck's work is by far superior. My only regret was not walking into his office sooner! Dr. Golombeck is completely honest and upfront on all counts. I can always count on him for great dental advice! He prides himself in his work; he is an artist in his dentistry. He put veneers on my top teeth 32 years ago, in the infant stages of the use of veneers and remarkably most of the veneers in my mouth are still the original ones. A couple of them needed to be replaced because of gum recession, which occurs naturally after age 40. Dr. Golombeck never tried to add on any unnecessary procedures. In fact, he talked me out of them. Recently, I suggested re-doing the veneers because the current trend is much whiter teeth than it was thirty-two years ago, prior to the abundance of teeth whitening products. Dr. Golombeck convinced me to leave my veneers as they are. He is a rare find! More recently, I have undergone dental implant surgery and numerous bone grafting, requiring a new bridge created by Dr. Golombeck. Not only is his work stellar, but everyone he works with and has recommended is top notch. His extensive dental work allows him to see the results of many periodontists and root canal specialists, etc. He knows who the best of the best are! Dr. Golombeck stays on top of cutting edge procedures and frequently lectures at Columbia University. He is still on the forefront of prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry, and is greatly respected in the dental community. His office is unassuming and he does not aspire to be "dentist to the stars" but he does have his list of impressive, loyal, celebrity clients. If I could provide a picture of before and after treatment, I would. I call Dr Golombeck a magician. He is a craftsman. He is a dentist ! I was always very uncomfortable with my smile. Now, people look at me and ask me what cream I use because they see a difference but they can not figure out what it is ....It is because he makes the teeth very natural looking and in sync with the smile that is you and that looks natural for me.. I have been working with Dr Golombeck for almost a year now and have just finished my treatment. All I can say is if I could give him 10 or more stars I would! He is one of the best dentists I have ever been to. Not only is he knowledgeable and a perfectionist, he really CARES about his patients. Here is a bit of my history. I had a nightmare experience with another so called reputable dentist who did poor work and left much damage to many of my teeth, so I needed to find a qualified dentist in order to repair them. Dr. Golombeck's office is always a pleasure to visit. The staff is friendly and down to earth and there is almost no wait time! Which is a sharp contrast to most doctors who have me waiting between 20-60 minutes. The cleanings I get make me feel like I got a new set of teeth. Dr. Golombeck is so detail oriented and patient.
