If I go to the Chiro my adjustment last for only a few hours, then it starts to hurt again. I have have tried several other methods to relieve the pain, acupuncture always seem to give me the longest relief. Every time i see Dr Cha, it's like the first time. She always ask me a lot of questions and wants to know everything that is going on with my pain. She doesn't rush the treatment, and always ask me if i'm comfortable, which is very important to me. Being a medical Dr too, she knows the body and what is causing the pain. I had massage, acupuncture and cupping. I feel great and will continue to see Dr Cha in the future. She always gives me a lot of advise on how to stretch, eat healthy and how to prevent further problems with my lower back. Her new office is amazing, and it's very clean and comfortable. His technique is direct needle in the area of my pain, which was upper shoulder area. I was face down. It felt too much like a clinic in the room. Very COLD! The AC is turned up and directly on me. He gave the option to be sitting or to lie face down. I was in the room for 30min. They gave me jingle bells to ring if I need someone. After the treatment, I didnt feel so good. I felt nauseated and ill... ;( I didnt get the instant relief like how I did from my previous regular go to accupanturist that paid attention to body temperature, room comfort, whole body,and needle was not applied directly at shoulder pain (she put it on my lower ankle that correspond to my shoulder which is more of a accupanture technique). After he took the needles off, he did recommend that I come back the next day because he wanted to see how I was doing. And he didnt want to "overwhelm" the body by giving me alot of needles/treatment. (Immediate follow up will mean I have to cough up more co pay $ and my schedule is so busy, that I cant just go back the next day). I explained this to the front desk lady and she insisted that I came back. Ask in details why I couldnt go back? I explain that I have 3 kids to take to school and Im scheduled to also volunteer. She was offering solutions like well come on back after volunteering. Then I had to clearly kept saying no there is no way because I had to get lunch after I volunteer and I have a 1pm pick up, 230 pick up and 245pick up! She still didnt get it. She was like, "Well you dont live that far! Laguna Hills and Irvine!" She is nice lady and it appears that she was offering solutions but it was also a bit much. The doctor was nice. I do appreciate that this place takes insurance! The location is in a nice medical office. I can understand his English. He is very professional. However, this place didnt work out for me because I didnt feel good after and I didnt really have the whole body/whole comforting experiencing.

I can't definitively say that I had an easy pregnancy because of the treatment but I have a firm belief that it helped. I had a fairly easy pregnancy experience - no nausea, minimal swelling, and great skin. My entire pregnancy we talked about my labor goals and post partum and I really feel like my care was tailored to me. Towards the end of my pregnancy I needed to actually slow down labor (unheard of, I know!) I called Dr Woo and she managed to get me in. It may be a coincidence that my dilation slowed down for the entire week I needed it to.. or the treatment actually worked. Now my baby is here and I can't wait to find a moment to go back in for postpartum healing. I cannot recommend her enough!

First, the office setting does NOT evoke the feel of a highly successful practice. When I met with Dr. Joen, she proceeded to tell me that my insurance, Anthem PPO, only covers $50 a visit, although I was told that I was covered by insurance and only had a $20 co-pay when I scheduled the appointment. I asked what the $295 consultation fee that she recommended and other extra charges would do to make me feel better, and she told me wants to focus on my whole body and health and acupuncture would not do accomplish that. This was only after viewing my tongue and checking my pulse. I wanted an explanation of what the greater services would provide and she couldn't tell me as that meant she was consulting and that would cost more. Although I am fortunate enough to afford whatever the cost, she told me that I must be poor, as rich people don't care and most of her clients are rich based on where her office is located. She said she services the poor and devotes time and free services around the world and kept telling me that everybody loves her. Unbelievable. I should have walked out when she insulted me, but I was curious. There was a Catch 22, as I wanted more information to make a decision about committing to more services and to see what she was trying to sell me countered by the fact that she wouldn't tell me more as that meant a consultation. She provided her services although reluctantly. She forgot about me being hooked up to a machine that I believe lasted 3 times longer than it should have. After one day, I am experiencing no benefit from her services in making my back and neck better. This was my first acupuncture experience. I will try it again, but with a very different practitioner.
