Sessions are $125 a piece which is certainly a luxury price. While the 60minute workouts in and of themselves were fine, I do think they are too expensive for what was received.
The nutrition counseling was just chatting about snacks with cursory glances at food logs. No recipes, not one. 60mins for that is way too long and it sometimes felt like filler talk to fill the time.
I made it clear to Kristin when signing up, I recently had an ankle reconstruction surgery and previously had a back surgery. I had been working out since November with no issues, but still had to be aware of the weakness on the side of the affected ankle. She assured me that she was knowledgeable with working with injured patients, and often reiterated that fact when I would say how things felt or that I was worried about a re-injury. In hindsight, I feel taken advantage of and my money was most important.
After one particular workout, I left and could not walk back to my car. I had herniated two disks (and one additional bulging disk) in my back. This was 3 or 4 weeks before my wedding, leaving me unable to walk more than several yards.
When I told Kristin about this, she pointed out that I liked working out hard, and often, forgetting that she said she had knowledge with injured patients. When I pointed that out, she stopped responding to my emails. I wonder if this facility has insurance.
When signing up Kristin said I could talk freely to her, that she understood working out and a wedding is a huge thing and clients often open up to her and cry sometimes. And I did, a couple of times crying due to the stress I was under, but the third time she said "oh, are you going to cry again?".
Conversation wasn't often reciprocated and it felt like being talked at during some sessions. Parking is in the Shoprite lot now (illegal but Shoprite doesn't seem to care) or for pay in street or the new adjacent garage.
