When they heard that the insurance company wasn't going to pay for it, they ghosted me. I had been trying for a couple of months. I met Mike Roberts standing in front of a home in my neighborhood as the Roofer Express team was pulling off the old shingles. I was riding by on my way to work, so I turned around and got his card. I asked him to look at my house and give me a quote. I had the quote by the next morning. Then I did my research. Hmmm... A+ on BBB.org, good reviews, and the neighbor gave them a glowing recommendation. I don't know roofing companies, so those sorts of things make a big difference. I got three quotes. Two were in about the same ballpark, including Roofer Express, and the third was more expensive. Mike Roberts impressed me with his timely response and the effort he put into answering my questions. The installation process went very smoothly. Mike Roberts maintained good communication throughout the project. The pre-installation walkthrough answered my questions and gave me a good understanding of what I needed to do to be ready for installation day. The materials arrived on schedule the night before the install. The team arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Mike Roberts was also the project manager and was on-site for most of the day to ensure everything went smoothly. He identified minor items for his team to address and made sure they were taken care of. When my wife had to leave for work, he made sure there was a clear path for her to get out. Getting a new roof can be messy, but they didn't leave a mess behind. They cleaned up thoroughly, and our plants and garden were all in good shape at the end of the project. I didn't think it would matter, but yes, our new roof makes the house look better. Unfortunately, now the paint stands out as needing a refresh. When the time comes, I'll be calling Mike. We had been watching house after house in our neighborhood getting new roofs and started examining…read moreour own roof for signs of needing replacement all the while hoping that we didn't because of the price. The day that a house behind ours began repairs was very windy. The owner Shannon McDaniel noticed our shingles lifting with the wind and offered to look at our roof and since my husband and I had already been discussing our possible need for a new roof, I agreed. After the inspection he told me that we had storm damage. This is our first house and we had not even entertained the thought of storm damage even though most of the roof repairs in our neighborhood started right after hurricane Irma blew through the state. He had taken pictures of the damage to show me and explained to me why he thought it was due to strong winds. He encouraged me to contact my insurance agent to have one of their adjusters come out and give their opinion. Two days later my insurance adjuster came and Mr. McDaniel took time to come by also. My adjuster had worked with Mr. McDaniel before so within an hour I had approval for a new roof and a check in my hand for the repairs. Two weeks later I had a beautiful new roof. The crew was awesome. They did everything. They moved our trampoline out of the way. They worked quickly and respectfully. He has never charged much, and in fact with the first repair, I had to insist that he allow me to pay him. Because of his integrity and courtesy, I had him handle the insurance-paid replacement of a roof on one of the rentals that had Atlas shingles. After doing an initial, no-cost, inspection, he met with the adjuster on very short notice, and actually did the on-the-roof work for the adjuster while the adjuster stood in the yard below. Jeff and his crew put on the new roof, replacing more of the OSB than expected, and did some additional work at no extra charge. It looks great, and the tenants are delighted. They said he was very professional (which I already knew he would be), and he and his crew left the place really clean. I couldn't be happier with Jeff's work. He's very patient, his pricing is very reasonable, and he does excellent, high-quality, work. He shows up when he says he will, which is important. The problem was the sky light was not installed properly and caused leaks. The heat and sun has dried our caulk and cracks have formed. Caulking like we did before would be necessary when new leaks form. We wanted his thoughts and appreciate his honesty. He did not try to sell us something we did not need but explained the situation so we could understand. We look for contractors that are knowledgeable and honest and he rocks. She had to stop working and went to talk to the roofer that said he had an appointment with me at 5:30. I live by my calendar and I did NOT have an appointment. Some telemarketer gave RRG my address and they were waiting in my driveway while I was at work. The roofer had my phone number, but didn't even call me. I tell him on the phone to email, but he insists on coming back next week. His 1 and only text to me was "Don't waste your time." so I'm passing this on to all the other future customers... Don't waste your time. I have talked to many roofers, and he was second to worst with customer service. I went thru my doorbell cam recordings and found the guy. Why didn't he just call me?! You can see the phone in his hand, and he has my number... Edit: look at the company response. This is their customer service. Maybe they will learn from this experience, call/text the next customer about time of meeting, and treat the customer with respect. I serve my customers, and I respect their time and decisions.

A tree fell on our house and did just enough damage to make the whole process a royal pain. Because…read morethe damage was not catastrophic, it was difficult to get anyone to do the work or even come out to look at it. But it was still pretty significant damage with about five rafters crushed along with part of the roof, and the whole line of gutters across the front of the house destroyed. I called Optimal and they came out that day. The quote was fair enough and they set a time to come out and do the work. There was a slight scare with weather on the appointed day, but they finally agreed to come out as I had the power turned off for the work. They came out and got it done. Very good job. I'll certainly call them again when we need a new roof or the like.
