Stopped in 3/July/22 after mass. Had the waffle benedict. Worst food EVER!! I have no idea why anyone would come here. Both of our waffles were raw on the inside. Zero flavor. Hard as a brick on the outside. The Hollanaise sauce was burnt (yes - brown - not creamy yellow). There were egg shells in the eggs. The ONLY thing that was ok - was the coffee. Take this place for what it is - only a coffee house. The food is an epic failure! If negative was a rating - it would get a negative. The food here is delicious! The service was a bit slow, but the food was worth the wait. The coffee could be improved on, tasted slightly burned and we had to ask to get our coffee after waiting 10 minutes. Would recommend having a self serve station for coffee to speed up the process. read more

Don't eat here. The employees refuse to wear masks and the owners are encouraging no masks with their signage. If they violate the mask mandate they probably don't folllow other food safety protocols. The owner's politics are getting in the way of being a responsible business owner. read more

Went to the restaurant earlier today super excited to eat some brunch. I ordered and noticed post facto that they appear to be purposefully exercising a gross negligence or, maybe it's a monumental ignorance to the executive order mandating masks indoors. The entirety of the staff was without a mask and I only saw a few other people wearing them while indoors. Very disappointed, and I filed with the department of health. Who knows what that will do though? An awkward, unnecessary and ultimately dangerous experience. I didn't make a fuss at the restaurant, so hopefully this review helps those looking to eat safely in these unprecedented times. read more

Patronize at your own risk. This business was shut down by the state due to food employees not wearing masks. They reopened next morning in defiance of Health Department order. You have to wonder what other health department rules they are willing to violate. read more

I like how yelp prompts you to review how the business is doing during covid. Yeah this business isn't doing anything during covid operating in blissful ignorance. As someone who works in health care I'm just waiting for these people to show up in the emergency room. I just feel bad for the workers. The place is very small which is optimal for the virus to thrive. Saw about 20+ people in the small cabin waiting to order. One was actually carrying an oxygen tank. I just reported them. We were there last Sunday, there was a sigh on the door requesting people wear masks. Not a single staff person was Wearing a mask! I asked to speak to the manager and woman said I am the manager,When I asked why no one was wearing a mask she said "because I choose not to." I responded "you don't get to make that choice it's state mandated " to which she just shrugged her shoulders, talk about hypocritical and horrendously unsafe. It was an all female staff and probably no one over 22, except for the manager. read more

Not only is the food amazing but so is the atmosphere! Everyone is so kind and as soon as you walk in it smells amazing. It's adorable inside and very cozy. So many unique variations of the waffles. Portion sizes are great not an overwhelming amount of food but still leave satisfied. A must go to for breakfast in Nisswa! read more

Dishonest staff but good waffles. Ordered three waffles and was charged for four. I only found out that I was overcharged when I went to order another waffle (the portion size is very small however, very dense so a bit deceiving - perhaps one would be enough for some people) and they said they would not charge me because they had already charged me for four. You pay when you order, not when you are finished with your meal so apparently they were not going to tell me what they had charged me for more food than I had originally received!! Also, the waffle they did not "charge" me for was less expensive than the one I had paid for so I was still overcharged. Neglect to tell a customer that they were overcharged is stealing. Bottom-line....very cute, very small space with good waffles but just remember to check your receipt. It is already fairly pricy for the serving size not to mention being overcharged. The staff could use some courtesy training as well. read more

Total gem on Gull Lake! Iron Waffle serves absolutely delicious waffles, baked goods, coffee and ice cream in an adorable little log cabin with up north chic decor. Went in for breakfast this morning and shared the breakfast waffle sandwich and the maple bacon waffle. Fantastic! Fabulous little waffle place! Simply the best waffles I have ever had! The bacon goat is my must have. It's a perfect little waffle, smothered in goat cheese, topped with bacon and maple syrup. It's a quaint little spot next to Sherwood Forrest between Gull Lake and Lake Margaret. I highly recommend this little gem for breakfast whenever in the lakes area. read more

Up in Lakeshore, MN visiting my aunt, and she told me about this place. I am currently sitting at a table with 6 different waffles with different toppings and tastes....no words can describe my happiness. Each waffle has its own unique taste, and it's hand crafted by 3 young girls, who seem to be the ones running the store, working the iron, cutting the fruit, washing the dishes, working the register, making the coffee, so on and so on..what ambition! I would recommend this to ANYBODY who likes waffles, breakfast or even just good service and food. I will definitely be back!!!! read more
