Between MVA and CCU my account was flagged and I could not get tags. CCU told me it could take about a week for the flag to be removed. It was not one week, but three full weeks. After the second week, I was calling Mr Everett almost daily to check the status. He never got impatient and he always checked for me. Even on days I didn't call to ask, he called me to let me know the flag was still there. Finally, my MVA appt came and of course they were rude nasty and super unhelpful. They said I had to call CCU. As if I hadn't already been back and forth on the phone with MVA and CCU trying to get things sorted these three whole weeks. I called Mr Everett from the MVA and explained what was happening. The very next morning, he called me. The flags were off, and he had my tags. Mr Everett was honest, polite, and very helpful throughout the entire situation. He was able to do what the people at MVA refused to do. Which was be kind and helpful. And he helped me get back on the road. Thank you so much Mr Everett! She took me through the process. I had to come back for a couple of things, but the awesome thing about that is you don't have a gigantic line like you normally would at the DMV. Really?" Two weeks later, my mom happened to sell her car and needed to turn in the plates. Since I happened to now know there was a local place, I offered to turn in the tags for her. It's pretty easy to find, located in a tiny shack on Hammond Ferry Road in Lansdowne, The place is very clean, obviously brand new, and it was quick and painless. I paid five bucks to turn in the tags, received a payment receipt, and had the registration cancellation in my e-mail the following day. I imagine title work is more complicated, but when you have to do anything involving the DMV, it's nice to have options.
