I spoke with Brooks, who was professional, friendly and very helpful. He answered all of my questions regarding cleaning and inspecting the carburetor for my RV generator. I brought my carburetor to their shop and all of the service employees were courteous and anxious to help. I met with Brooks who completed the necessary paperwork and explained the service process. I left the shop confident the work would be done professionally, in a timely manner and at a fair price. Again, no apology, no I'm sorry we messed up and sorry you had to make a special trip to have us correct the mistake we made. No I'm sorry for the inconvenience and trouble this was for you. Not a word! This is a pathetic example of poor customer service. Incompetence and not caring. They obviously don't care about the customer experience, and yet they ask for customer reviews. Well, here you go! Customer service 101 says when a customer is unhappy, they'll tell ten people, and more than that might see this review. My husband had already done a tune up and we needed the blade bent back into place. He went to pick it up and they charged him $30 and said it was fine. I just tried to mow a strip of my lawn and it was dying the whole time. Then it just completely died. It won't start again. So, they didn't help us at all. Aaron didn't win my business that day as he already had, but he further solidified my opinion that Premier Marine is one of the best, highest quality, and honest boat repair places I've ever dealt with. I highly recommend them. One thing that was different from the last time I had an issue and needed Premier Marines services, is email communication. When I called I got a VM message that directed me to send an email rather than leaving a VM. I did and it was promptly answered. We had an exchange of five or six emails over the course of a couple hours. Easy and convenient to communicate with and a nice way to have a record of all that was discussed.

I have also gone to them looking for a hard to find parts, the counter staff are friendly and helpful. They happened to have what I needed. Next week, I will be taking my boat in for major repairs. I will let you know how that goes. Update (0 stars if possible): That was September of 2022. I did take my boat in for an engine replacement in October of 2022. We received our boat back in January of 2023. De-winterized and out for the 20 hour break in period in May of 2023. Two hours into the break-in, we encountered the same noises that sent it in for a new engine, back to the shop on warranty work. On June 12, we got it back and took it out to start the break-in period again. After spending 15 hours on the lake, we finally got our first 10 hours and time for the oil change. We mentioned that it smelled of burning oil and it was hesitating or stalling when putting it in gear from neutral. We were told it was normal and could be expected for the first 100 hours. I have worked on cars for most of my life, and this was news to me. In September of 2022, we finally got the 20 hours completed on the break-in and took it to a different marine specialist (due to a lack of trust with A Rock). They did the 20-hour oil change, winterized, and did a bore scope on the engine. This revealed scoring marks from the piston rings, a rusty head, and signs of oil blow-by, indicating the rings were not doing their job correctly. Again, in May, I returned it to A Rock with the photos from the other company. They took another month to change the heads and told me it was 'good to go.' Skeptically, I left their shop and went straight to the lake. Thirty minutes in, it was doing the same thing. I drove it straight back down and told them it wasn't fixed. One month to the day, I got the call that another "new" engine had been installed. An engine, come to find out, they had had in their shop since January but was told they had to order it in and that was the reason for the time delay. I took the boat straight out to the lake again, and it was still plagued with hesitation and stalling. The burning oil was gone, though. I found two spark plugs with cracked porcelain, so I replaced them, and that took care of the stalling. I have another 24 months on the warranty, so we will see how this holds up. I have hit my 20 hours of break-in and again took it elsewhere to get the oil changed. The ladies at the counter are friendly and seem to care about the issues, but I will never have them touch this engine outside of the warranty ever again. In summary, If you need something off the shelf, it's a great place to go. If you need a prop refurbished, I have had good luck. If you need them to work on your engine... Find someone else!!!

Well I got out on the water first time and not only would the engine die on me but the locking mechanism for keeping the motor lowered or lifted was not working either. Took it in for repairs and they didn't fix the mechanism, but told me the motor they sold me had a bad fuel pump. How did they not know that before selling it? Then they did eventually "fix" the mechanism but it still doesn't work. Now they tell me that part isn't covered under my 45 day warranty. So I have to take it somewhere else to get fixed. When we first went to look at the boat, it was still winterized, there were wires left around the engine, the battery had been left in the boat over the winter, and the propeller/trim would not raise properly. We specifically pointed out the issue with the propeller before leaving. The woman selling the boat was very confident in Mike and told us that he would be coming out to take care of everything. We came back after he had worked on the boat, and she told us she had been charged around $800. What was shocking was that the propeller/trim STILL did not work. I understand that boats can have multiple problems and that not every repair is simple, but if a customer is paying that much money and trusting someone to get a boat ready and address known issues, I would expect those issues to either be fixed or clearly explained to the customer. What bothered me most was that the seller genuinely seemed to trust Mike to help her, and from what we personally observed, she was left having paid a significant amount of money while one of the major problems we had specifically identified was still unresolved. I can't speak to anyone else's experience with this business, but based on what my boyfriend and I personally witnessed, I would be very cautious before using Mike's Mobile Marine. I would recommend getting a detailed written estimate of exactly what work will be performed, what was actually repaired, and what you are being charged for before paying.
