The machines are clean, the 4 conveniently located bathrooms are clean, the floor is clean. Machines are in good working condition, and if they are broken, if you let the owner know, she will get them up and working as soon as possible. They could be more "high tech" with the times but they get the job done. There are treadmills, Ellipticals, bikes, rowing machines, free weights, assisted/seated lifting machines, punching bag, stretching area, balls, rollers, etc. The gym provides a well lighted parking lot, and has emergency necklaces for extra safety for those who enjoy middle of night workouts. Best gym in Ashland. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else in town.

The manager was exceedingly helpful when I was setting up my membership. My complimentary orientation session gave me the confidence I needed to get into the gym. The trainer helped my with all the knobs and settings and gave me a schedule to follow, which was awesome 'cause I'm using the equipment without hurting myself. (In the past, my husband and I would just hop on a treadmill and push buttons until it started moving...and a painful 15 minutes later stumble off cursing. Or try to row, row, row the boat nowhere and have strangers say, "You're going to hurt yourself." Of course, I was like, "Pshaw...I've got this!" Until I woke up the next morning and couldn't lift my toothbrush to my mouth. Anyway, I digress...) My husband loves my workout days, because I come bouncing into the house and make him feel all my new muscles.

Adam has a great setup and a very sound and detailed approach to fitness that is obviously based in a solid understanding of sports medicine and his own professional athletic experience. The workout can seem incredibly laid back but it is NOT....you always end up dripping sweat. Typically it is formatted into 20/30 minutes of stretching, conditioning and instruction on form followed by an additional 30 minutes of varied intense exercise that covers cardio, strength training and HIIT. The training is highly professional and the workouts are varied and well thought out. He's relatively affordable for the level at which he is training because has has small group classes usually between 3 -8 people...rarely larger. I'm very impressed and will continue to train here.

My back had gone into a major spasm and I needed deep tissue work done and I had called Inward Bound Wellness on short notice. Steven had created an opening for me as we spoke on the phone. He fit me in and worked out the spasm, as we were going through the massage Steven asked me questions about my recent activities. He pin pointed a few muscles and explained what their use was for and I was able to figure out what caused the spasm. The previous day we were moving and I had carried by myself a large tube tv up 17 stairs sideways and from his decriptions of what each tweaked muscle and how it works allowed me to pinpoint the cause.
