They do attics too…read more This winter I had giant icicles all the way around the house, and a lot of ice on the roof, triggering a leak in the front porch. My neighbors suggested I might have an insulation problem. Out of the blue, BSQ called me (actually, looking for my late mother) to follow up on older files and the sump pump in my basement. "Oh by the way we have now branched into attics and insulation." Funny you should say that.... and within a few minutes I had scheduled a free attic inspection. Before the agent visit, I received a detailed booklet by mail describing the need for insulation, the types on the market, and what type was appropriate given our climate. it also contained a mini survey of the problems observed, which the agent would later use to calculate the quote. The agent went into the attic and took a series of photos and measurements. He confirmed that my leak was not from any hole in the roof (there wasn't one visible), but from condensation caused from inadequate insulation. The insulation that was up there was the original when the house was built -- about 60 years old, matted and dirty, and not helping the house at all. He recommended cellulose that would be blown in; it would never deflate, it was waterproof, fire retardant and pest resistant too. And he was eager to correct the poor impression BSQ had made during the earlier sump pump installation. The installation took about 11 hours. I lost track of how many bags came out of the attic -- I think Petro counted 40.  They kept me updated with their progress throughout the day.  I was a little nervous about the front door open for hours on end, but fortunately there were no squirrels or birds or other unwanted visitors.  It was not too noisy, I was able to hear easily during phone calls. They did blow a circuit at one point but we went downstairs and figured out which circuit to reset. A display of plastic collectibles fell on the floor, but none of them broke.  After they left I saw there was a hook in the closet that got bent out of shape, and a small piece of sugar art broken. But these were minor issues. The team was also very good about cleaning up their mess, both inside and outside. The trapdoor to the attic is through a bedroom closet at the back of the house. They put down tarps on the floor, the furniture, the exposed items in the room. They took away all the bags of old insulation. I just had to sweep up a few crumbs afterwards, and put the shelving back. One heads-up I wanted to share: It took a couple of weeks to empty out the closet where the trapdoor is. There were lots of books and magazines on the side shelves, and I had never seen the floor of this closet. Some of the items were older than I am, and every single thing needed a new, if temporary, home. Definitely a positive experience, although the true test of the insulation will probably only be seen next winter.

Systemes Sous-Sol is an amazing company. We had an issue with sloped floors and we needed to stabilize the house since lifting it was not an option (too expensive, causing major interior damage, etc.). Mike Costello was our rep and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The team, headed by Yuri Melnick, sent to execute the work was unbelievable. They worked tirelessly, professionally and as cleanly as was possible in this kind of job. The project was done exactly in the time frame contracted and to our utmost satisfaction. We do not hesitate to recommend this company for any kind of foundation issues and then some. Jack, Dollard-des-Ormeaux

There were surprises along the way (e.g., missing chunks of foundation as a result of previous retrofits) and things beyond the actual foundation (unpatched holes in the bottom exterior walls). Action Restoration went above and beyond to resolve my issues and it is amazing how warm the upstairs floor is now! I cannot say enough about how rare and pleasant it is working with a company that follows through on commitments, answers when you call, 30+ years of expertise, respectful of clients, and, most importantly, human beings that are there to help you, not to take advantage. I give Action Restoration a solid 5-star rating across the board: Communication: 5 stars; Professionalism: 5 stars; Quality of the work: 5 stars; Cleanliness: 5 stars; Overall Experience: 5 stars.

After chasing Cody for weeks which led to months I ended up convincing him to at atleast take away construction debris for the demo I had to do myself because he was unreachable. He took away 4 loads of debris to the dump and has since not answered any calls, texts, or emails. We know of several other projects he has started and not capable of finishing and has a number of claims against him pending. Including ours. How much money are we trying to get back from him? $40k+... Contact us for any more details.

From May 12th to today it has been a nightmare. They destroyed my property. Held me hostage to pay the job in full. Rather than remediate he walked off the job. He also stranded 4 neighbors on my street. (Picked up various projects while on my site. Garage floors/driveways etc). Terrible work. Terrible team. Will be suing in small claims. Warranties beware. He threatened me with shutting down his company and reopening..

The technicians did their thing without showing me their work nor taking any photos to show me. It looked as though they had also repaired the crack above ground level..but all they did was smear some cement like material over the above ground crack. Now the above ground crack has returned and I am told that they don't actually repair cracks above ground. My original comment to akton injection was replied by saying that there are no leaks so the repair is successful. All along I told them that I had no way to see if there were or were not leaks..their reply was unprofessional. Basically I spent over 1,000$ with no way to know if the repair was properly done ( apparently now they take photos to leave with the clients. Overall the communication with this company is not acceptable.

All the neighbours have been talking and this feeling is universal. Just a small example, they are working in our driveway and have fencing around the whole. Our door is down the driveway and I asked that when they are done for the day they make sure to push the fence away from our house so that my wife can get the stroller down the driveway even if no one is there to help.
