Called them repeatedly and sent text messages to which no one ever responded to. Called another company to come out and come to find out the issue we were having was due to Gotshall not putting a filter cap back on properly allowing wind driven air to get into the lines. I also have pictures that show that the system was never even cleaned by Gothshall to begin with even though I paid $242.44 for it. I reached out by mail giving them the opportunity to make this right but they chose to ignore that as well. Beware of this company, they take your money for work they don't do and they don't respond when you have an issue.

I hired Tip Top to clean my chimney for 2023 and 2024. 2023 was fine. In 2024 they came mid…read moreOctober. they didn't go on the roof to clean the chimney cap because there was freezing rain, but still charged me the full $160. This resulted in poor results from my wood stove all winter. Finally, in mid January the stove was rendered unusable because the chimney couldn't vent the smoke. I called my wood stove supplier who sent their technician to assess the problem. He quickly identified the problem as a clogged chimney that hadn't been cleaned properly, and recommended I call the Chimney sweep back to fix the issue. I called the owner who gave me lots of attitude, no showed an appointment, then finally showed up the last week of February on the 24th. He immediately began telling me the problem wasn't his fault and that both I and the technician were wrong. He insisted his employees HAD gone on the roof to clean the chimney cap (an obviously false claim as it was completely clogged with soot and creosote). When I told him that wasn't true and nobody had gone on the roof he got extremely confrontational and started sticking his finger in my chest like he was going to fistfight me on my own front lawn. I fired him on the spot and told him to leave my property. He refused, followed me back to my car and continued accosting me. After several minutes of me shouting "GET OFF MY PROPERTY" he finally packed up his tools and left. By the time it is resolved this whole debacle will have cost me easily $600-$800, and my chimney STILL ISNT CLEAN! Do not under any circumstances hire this guy. He is unprofessional, impolite, argumentative, disrespectful, unaccountable, and potentially violent. I wouldn't even accept his work for free.

Jeff was friendly, knowledgeable, thorough, answered all my questions, and gave me helpful tips for our new home. The information he provided enabled us to address issues immediately before they became bigger problems. In addition to the standard home inpection, we had them do a radon test and a lateral waste pipe camera inspection. I was shocked to see so many positive reviews were removed by the automated system. If you take the time to read the removed reviews, you will get a much better picture of this company and the level of service they provide. We're very happy with their service and highly reccommend them!

This guy was a terrible home inspector and should be avoided at all costs (avoiding him will save…read moreyou money). Sure, he will give you a fancy report with FLIR pictures of your oven, but he misses the basics. He missed the fact that my front door did not latch when close or have a dead bolt on it. How can you make it through a VT winter if your front door will not even latch? He also missed a huge carpenter ant infestation in the master bathroom where some trees were touching the house. Replacing the front door alone cost me $4,000. When I pointed this out to him, he didn't even offer an apology. Let alone a refund. I thought about going after him in court, but it is too hard to go after a home inspector. Better to just avoid.

Unfortunately some copper pipe segments from the previous water heater were .misplaced. as a previously installed then removed water heater had a check valve that "Didn't go to anything" despite the copper pieces were sitting within the water heater compartment. Hence it's not a big deal as they were 2 small and insignificant pieces. We didn't appreciate the gesture though. Please be sure to have scrap copper pipes that originated at the worksite to remain at the worksite in the future. We assume it was a simple mistake. Beyond that the work was well done, organized, and quick.
