When he was done I asked if he could also do the regular maintenance on it because we had never had it done. He said he couldn't that day but if I called the office and signed up for the yearly maintenance I could save 10% on the service call for that day. I called and signed up. Today was the day he had to come and do the maintenance and again he showed up at the scheduled time. Very polite and professional every time. If you ever call Pat's, ask them to send Brady. I think we paid less than $600 for the repair and yearly maintenance on both our AC and furnace.

Michael not only diagnosed and repaired the boiler in record time, but he was also kind enough to take the time to thoroughly explain how a hydronic heater works, and all of the necessary maintenance involved. Michael was extremely knowledgeable with all things HVAC. We were charged a very fair price for the labor, especially considering the weekend callout. Fast forward a few weeks, and we called out Michael to update some of the heater controls. Again, Michael provided outstanding service and corrected a few other issues with our hydronic system. Still highly recommended!

I would love to recognize Ray Seeber, our technician for his outstanding quality of work. He was so informative, patient and respectful. Thank you Ray, we look forward to seeing you again. No repairs were performed and I was ultimately told that the AC was operating normally, without a solution to the temperature difference I had called about. I understand paying for diagnostic time, but $300 for this visit felt very expensive, and I wish the additional charges had been clearer when I scheduled. Update: I appreciate the business owner commenting on their charge process. The technician specifically noted charging me for 45 minutes, and I have an email time stamped 45 minutes after he started work. Also, none of the paperwork notes that the initial charge includes 30 minutes of time, which further emphasizes my point about transparency. Update: Update: I previously listed the wrong dollar amounts, so I am correcting them after reviewing my invoice. I was charged $149 for the diagnostic visit plus $130 for an additional 45 minutes of labor, for a total of $292.95 with tax. After the business stated that the technician spent approximately 75 minutes diagnosing my AC, I requested their timestamped records. Their records show that at 12:38 PM I signed their Customer Acknowledgement stating that "all work has been completed," and my invoice was emailed at 12:40 PM. However, they are counting time through 12:51 PM toward the 75-minute visit based on their tracking system. I disputed the additional labor charge and requested a refund. The company refused and offered only a credit toward future service, which I declined. My concern is not that diagnostic work costs money. My concern is being charged for diagnostic labor that I do not believe is supported by the company's own records.

Fast response - diagnostic appointment of AC unit scheduled for early next morning…read more Tech Kayla diagnosed problem quickly and explained options for fixing the AC unit quickly and clearly. Refrigerant was gone indicating it had one or more leaks. I decided to have the refrigerant refilled as stop-gap measure. The total cost for the appointment was $517. It was a failure on my end to not ask if I could have gone with less refrigerant to save money. In the end I'm only using the AC unit for 14 days before having it replaced. Kayla's estimate for repair was approximately $5000 plus a chance for it to be more based on the time it would take to find the leak(s). I decided to go with replacement of the AC unit based on its 11 year age and the approximate cost of $6000 to fix it. Sales person Steve contacted me later that day and scheduled an appointment to get an estimate for replacement. I found him personable and professional and he gave his estimate promptly with the information I needed about it. I had 2 followup questions that he quickly answered. In the end I went someone else for the AC unit replacement, but more because of an option to include switching my furnace to have an electrostatic filter at the same time I did the AC unit replacement. The cost of the AC units were similar. Overall very good diagnostic and fix, as well as quick followup on providing an estimate for replacement.

The tech, "made adjustments", got the furnace to ignite, and refused to tell me how. He then consulted with his boss and returned with a $496.00 bill. This is about 3x the amount of a common service call. He added that they would apply the $496.00 to the price of installing a new inducer motor, or a new furnace. Making the installation of a new inducer motor $904.00. I spoke with a supervisor who said it was more than a service call because "adjustments" were made, and the heat is now on. I consider this very sneaky and out of line. They never told me this service call would be $496.00, or any price for that matter. It was a sneaky rip off that the consumer should be aware of. I should have paid no more than $200.00 for that service call. Future customers should be aware of this tactic.
