Kids meal with 2 sliders and mashed potatoes. $9 on DoorDash, not bad
Liz P.

We got DoorDash from here tonight. My fiance ordered the South of Wisconsin burger and liked it a lot - it has cheese curds, Jalapeno poppers, etc. on top. I wasn't super hungry so I got a kids meal: $9, which is a decent price, for two large sliders plus your choice of side; I opted for mashed potatoes. It was 50c extra for toppings so we paid for tomatoes and pickles; unfortunately, there were no pickles. The sliders themselves were very good, but the mashed potatoes looked like they'd been scooped out of a can or something. The main reason we ordered from here was the cheese curds. My fiance liked them, but unfortunately I did not... They had some sort of sugary-tasting element that I didn't like. I still ate them, but not sure I'd order them again. Overall I think the sliders were the best thing I ate from here, even though the pickles were forgotten.

Lunch with friends, wasn't real busy on a Sunday afternoon. Service was friendly and prompt, as well as knowledgeable about the menu with suggestions. Had the wings, nothing special just ordinary wings. Tried a Boxty-potato pancake wrapped around corn beef. The pancake was a bit bland and chewy, the corn beef was good. Upgraded to the sweet curry fries. Interesting combination, fries were ok and it was a bit sweet. Would try again. Overall it was bar food and was good. Would give it 3.5 stars but doesn't allow for half stars. Would come back and try again

I've lived 10 minutes from Irish Tavern for almost four years now and finally got around to trying it! I was craving wings and wanted to try a new place. I called and placed a carryout for two orders of wings; Buffalo and Butter Parmesan. Both were being packaged up when I walked in to get my Carryout. Both were very flavorful and cooked perfectly with plenty of meat on the wings. My favorite of the two was the Butter Parmesan! I had leftovers for the next day too! Very good!

I wanted to love this place! I live about 5 mins from this place and was ready to make this my local go to for Friday night dinners. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. It took us 40 to 45 mins to get our food, and there weren't even a lot of other people that were ordering food at the time when we arrived at 7:40 PM. My husband ordered fish and chips and we got wings extra crispy with hot and bbq sauce. The fish was actually really good, fries were not seasoned and generic, but they ruined the fish by not giving enough tarter sauce. The coleslaw was not good. Onto the wings. They were not extra crispy and the skin was rubbery. Unfortunately, our waitress didn't stop by at all while we were eating to check on us to get this feedback. The wings were so soggy I ended up asking to get them to go. Keep in mind that 8 wings cost $12.50...The box they gave me for the wings was actually a dip container and the wings were busting out which you can see in the picture. It also took us forever to get our check and leave. Even the people next to us were commenting about how they didn't know who their waitress was. Just overall a very bad experience.

I got the chicken and bread pudding. Soooo good! Staff was friendly and attentive. I was visiting from out of town which is a HUGE bummer because I will definitely be craving this dish again. Laid back atmosphere. All in all a great place.

The…read moremenu for this restaurant falls along the lines of an expanded bar/Bistro menu with a heavy emphasis on sandwiches, wraps and burgers. Having heard good things about their Burgers I opted to go with their Classic Cheeseburger and fries for $15 and two of their house margarita's which were the drink of the day on Tuesdays for $5 apiece. Realtive to the burger, it was quite large at 1/2 lb and definately a two hander. It was well made, quite juicy, with fresh veggies and very very tasty. The fries were well made as well with a nice crunchy texture and quite tasty in their own right. Lastly my two Margarita's very well made and oh so good where I had only planned on getting one but opted for two after the first sip. NICE! At $5 a piece this was an absolute steal! Relative to facility and staff, the restaurant is visually very appealing with vibrant Irish accents, neon sign's everywhere and TV's scattered to allow you to watch the big game of the day while enjoying your meal. The decor defiantely adds a lot to the dining experience. Staff was very friendly with great follow up throughout. Overall this is a great bar/restaurant whose reputation is well deserved. I definately will be returning in the near future, probably on a Tuesday, so I can get some more of those tasty margarita's. :)

Also, I was hoping for kettle chips or more a homemade chips, but the sandwiches come with a bag of Lays potato chips, unless you upgrade the side. Tip: if you like 1000 island on your Reuben, I'd recommend getting a side instead of it being on because you get more.

The accompanying fries were equally tasty and very well made with a very nice crunchy texture. At $10 for a1/2 lb burger and fries, especially ones made this well, This is a great deal by any standard! I also got two cocktails, an old-fashioned and a margarita. The old-fashioned was just OK in my opinion and needed a tad more sweetness based on how I like my drink. The margarita on the other hand was very good with the base being Hornito's Blanco. Nice! Price was quite fair at $10 a cocktail, but not as great of a deal as the hamburger and fries were. Relative to the business itself and the staff, the business is a no-frills blue-collar type bar/restaurant where it would appear to have a loyal clientle. It appears to be a mix between an Irish bar and a sports bar as there are a lot of TVs scattered about to watch the big game. Staff was quite friendly where the waitresses knew a lot of the customers by name. Again very nice! The presentation of the drinks is so cute and the drinks are high quality and taste amazing! I recommend the seasonal ones, especially the purple one! As for what to eat, I HIGHLY recommend trying a "Boxty" if you haven't had one before--they are Irish potato pancakes with fillings. The corned beef one was delicious--the corned beef was very finely chopped and paired well with the garlic aioli!

They do have a lot of options for the filling here too, like grilled chicken, steak mushroom cheese (my 2nd choice, maybe next time), even grilled vegetable or cod! I am glad I stayed, I was actually in the process of walking out at about 10 pm because, even though the sign says seat yourself, there was no one who acknowledged or approached me at my booth for a good 10 minutes. I finally found the waiter seating a table at the outdoor patio, and I actually went up to him (with an apology for interrupting lol) and asked if he could come find me when he was done because I had been here a while! As my waiter, he was super nice and accomodating, so I don't know why he was not monitoring tables but, that is what I took away a star for. It is a dim sports bar but I like that there are 2 areas, there was live music in the bar area, and a separate quieter area on the other side. Now that the performance is over, the sound for the football game is in the bar area but there is no sound on the giant tv's in this area, which I totally appreciate! Over all I would stop by again if I'm in the area, but ignore the Seat Yourself sign and wander around until you find a server! PS Ummm just paid and the machine auto starts your tip option at 25%, with the other options being 22 and 20, so for a bar where a lot of people might be drunk checking out, that seems very sneaky and manipulative, I did not like that...

Limited staff on a Tuesday afternoon; and I mean 1 person behind the bar and serving tables. At least she was on top of it a bit, if not a bit careless and rough around the edges. They have almost 30 beers on tap, which is nice but could use a better mix and better beers. A lot of "no clue" beers on their system, which means unpopular flavors and brands for some of them. At least they had Yuengling on tap. Also, you gotta scan a QR code for menus, specials and drinks. But WiFi doesn't work so use your own data to make that populate on your phone. I did manage to get a specials menu though. Food is eh... wouldn't put it up there on even the best bar food options. Chicken tenders were decent but their sauces were atrocious! Got charged extra for more sauces to try but good Lord they were terrible. A Caribbean sauce is orange? Naw man. That was so terrible I spit it out. Even if it wasn't, whatever it was, was straight trash sauce. Gross. Overall I'd probably revisit if I was merely having some beverages but wouldn't call this a grill or say it's worth stopping for food. Better options are out there.

The slider my son had as gross, luckily he's 5 and doesn't know any better, however he still didn't want to eat it. When we addressed this the server, who was new, she was kind enough. But then the owner, Mitch I believe, came out and refused to make any accommodations for the disgusting food. He got loud and boisterous with us, spoke down to us, and was even so bold as to claim that they have never had any complaints the whole time he's owned the place. Needless to say I'll never take my family to this place again. YOU should stear clear as well.
