First order went smooth, second order needed some support. Response time was understandably extended due to sales and understaffing, but I got both my orders, and some freebies! Quality of my items was superb! read more

Again, did a research project on headshops, blah de blah de blah…read more Anyways, this one is quite good value. I picked up two bags of Raz(they were on sale), a bag of Spice Gold and a Super E for under twenty quid. Granted, all were bought in the smallest possible portions but that's still pretty handy as I was expecting to have to pay twice as much. Yer man behind the counter was bang on aswell, despite the fact that it was ten in the morning and he was clearly dying. Of course, all purchases were made in the name of social scientific gain so I can't comment on the quality or effects of said substances.

Those little metal pipes and fluorescent, plastic bongs? Those pieces just seem so jokey, like you'd leave it on the table when you bring home a date who you think is cooler than you. They also sell papers (good) and really ugly little boxes (bad), quality grinders (good) and all sorts of legal highs (not familiar with this stuff). When I went into the shop, there was a group of very young Brits getting the rundown of what legal ecstasy they could buy. I think I saw them later sitting in a dumpster in Temple Bar while other tourists took pictures. Though I think that speaks more to the kids, not the legal ecstasy itself. True story. Even though the merch wasn't up to par in my opinion, the staff was great and really fun and friendly. I guess that comes with the territory though, it is a head shop after all.

Went with some fellow students to get lunch during the 6 euro burger deal. While they advertised…read morethat all burgers were 6 euros, they charged full price for the vegan burgers, citing that only the meat burgers were a part of the sale. This was not indicated anywhere in the advertisements, nor in the store. At best, this is false advertising and mismarketing. I am very disappointed that despite being comparable in price, literally the same price as half the regular burger menu and only .50 more than the other half, the vegan option is not included in this deal, especially as the price of meat rises and our societal reliance on traditional meat products has proven harmful to the environment. I really wanted to like this place, but this put me off from ever recommending it or going there again. Do better, or at least advertise accurately.

This small-ish head shop is actually quite nice. It has one of the coolest interiors I've ever seen and the lads running it were fairly helpful the day I popped in. I used to like this shop but I am less impressed now. They are good at ignoring their customers…read morehere. They never got back to me when I e-mailed them with a question, even though they have their e-mail prominently displayed on their web site with an invitation to contact their shop. The last time I visited the shop I tried to get the attention of the sales clerk because I wanted to buy one of those expensive Hoodlamb winter coats. These things cost about 300 euros. However the sales clerk guy was too busy having a political debate with some customer at the counter. He never even looked my way or said 'high man'. If you're actually helping someone I can understand, and I can be patient. However it would be courteous for a sales clerk to look my way and say, "be with you in a minute." Since I got no attention, they lost a 300 euro sale. That's a simple rule of business. One they should probably learn if they want to pay the rent. Anyway, I was in Amsterdam a month later and found myself at Hemp Works (address: Nieuwendijk 13). I bought the same Hoodlamb coat there for 200 euro, and the sales girl was nice as pie. She even gave me free hemp lollipops. How cool is that? Sorry "Hemp Company" but you kinda lost my support. I'm a Hemp Works customer now.

They give off the faint odor of hemp balms and lotions. They tell you all the benefits of hemp between bites of their hemp muesli doused in hemp milk. These people might be totally off their rockers, but I am buying what they're selling. I think that hemp is really cool, and the fact that so many products have been created from the stuff is pretty impressive. The Hemp Company (note the initials -THC - not an accident) sells just about everything you can imagine, but with hemp. I found the apparel to be boring, like most hemp stuff, but everything else was great. The bags and backpacks were really cute and sturdy, and the lotions smelled great. I ended up buying some hemp salve that contains calendula which is excellent for healing cuts, rashes and irritations.

It's a funny little place this is. It nearly reminds me of an Amsterdam coffee shop. I think maybe…read moreit's position at the top of Capel St gives it that slightly salubrious edge, but it's a nice spot. I don't really get the whole café buzz for these things though tbh - don't you want to just pick one up and go? But hey, each to their own, and maybe it's a nice little gimic. Either way, the café is set out nice, they sell tea & Lavazza coffee and some little baked goods too. They sell all the accessories you need for these yokes - e-cigarettes themselves, batteries, chargers, etc etc. Staff are friendly and if you're an e-cig smoker, you might be into this buzz!

Although this establishment is small, their selection of whiskey is quite large and varied. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about what they are selling and, honestly, they couldn't be friendlier. For instance, I was emotionally distraught and conflicted on which whiskey to take home. They offered my wife and I taste test and spoke to us about each bottle and its associated flavor profile. The best was that they didn't try to sell me on anything, it was a genuine conversation. Excellent customer service! Overall, I walked out of there, mission accomplished, with a great experience, two bottles of whiskey, and about five small sample bottles for a little under €200. Side note: they also have a small selection of good cigars if you're in the mood. Enjoy!
