Thank you very much doctor Irina Khidekel for the best medical care and professionalism! One of our twins - baby Sebastian got very sick on Saturday with very high fever. Right now we are still recovering but doing much better now since Sebastian is getting the antibiotics for his strep throat infection. Yes! Unbelievable! It is so weird that he got this bad bug and what is even more weird is that when we went to the ER at Alta Bates on Saturday no one even bother to run lab tests for strep. They just gave him Tylenol and we were out. Only yesterday when we went to our primary pediatrician Irina Khidekel she made the right diagnosis and prescribed the medication that we would be receiving 2 days earlier if all doctors were like doctor Irina responsible and doing their job properly. Yes indeed! The worse pediatrician EVER! To start with the staff. Not friendly, better saying they including Doctor Irina, they are mean!!!! They never return phone calls, never follow up with results. It has been more than a month since I was there for my son's 9 month app. and he has not gotten his shots yet because they are too incompetent to call his former doctor to get his medical history ( one phone call would do it) . this morning after calling for hours and not having any answer, I took him there because he has a really bad cough and Doctor Irina was furious because I just showed up. Honestly, I wouldn't even give her a one star. Completely incompetent as a doctor, yet thinks she is incredible. Would never explain any procedures/treatments to me, as if I were too stupid to understand the bare basics. AN INCREDIBLY unpleasant person overall, and for some reason, hates children (which is strange, why did she go into pediatrics???). THE WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER MET! She was my childhood doctor and i honestly thought she printed out her degree on come site instead of actually going to medical school. She could never give my mom a straight answer on why i was having certain problems. She is the coldest woman to have as your doctor. Her office is gloomy and was not inviting, she honestly couldn't care less about the people who came in for help. I was forced to go into her office as a kid by my mom and after 3 times i just refused to go to that witch. Someone really needs to revoke her license. If you still have her may god be with you if she misdiagnoses you, and if you are thinking of going to her as a doctor, all i can say is RUN while you still can. read more

Dr Khidekel has been my kids Dr for the last 20 plus yrs. She has been with us every step of the way with plenty of medical issues with both my girls. Both of my kids have been hospitalized many times and Dr Khidekel, has been an amazing support to me and has has taken the time to call us in the evenings or weekends, in cases of emergency. She has been great in recommending holistic/natural approaches first before prescribing meds. She always educates you about all your options and takes time to hear your concerns and answers all your questions. Living on the Peninsula, she was able to save us many visits to Emergency room in SF. I am so thankful for having her as our Dr. I am just sorry that my children are getting older and we will have to go to another Dr. Her staff are wonderful as well. Lana always calls back when I leave a message. More Drs should be like Dr Khidekel. read more

THANK YOU DOCTOR! First, I want to begin by saying thank you to doctor Khidekel, for treating my disease. -Thank you, doctor. So, of course, I have no idea how I got sick, but because I have weak immune system, and it's not the first time for me, no wonder I got sick. I had the disease that's called something like mononucleosis or mono infection (IM). When the beginning of that horrible disease, I had a little of a sore throat, and it continued for about a week then I started having it got worse, soon I had my throat infected with mononucleosis. I tried everything I could, to treat my disease, myself, nothing worked: antibiotics, different sprays, different pills, and A LOT more... It only got worse and worse. Then I realized that there is no way I can heal up without doctor's look. I remember hearing about Doctor Irina Khidekel, that she was a good doctor-pediatrician. So I decided to call and schedule an appointment. When I called, it turned out that Irina Khidekel wasn't available for a few days I appreciate that they said so. Because I did not have to waste my time going there and figuring it out myself. So I went to SF Emergency Hospital, I kinda had no other choice. I've been there for an about 2 hours, they gave me some long-lasting effect pain reliever drink and a prescription to some antibiotics. I was taking pills every 12 hours- just like it said on the instruction. After three days I didn't feel better at all. I was completely ill. Then I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Khidekel, on the next day. The next day when I came to visit Dr. Khidekel, everything was so nice! First of all, I liked how doctor asked a lot of questions like: have I ever had the same disease before or is that the first time, my weight, my height, how would I prefer taking different kinds of pills, she checked my heart beat, my spleen, and hey guess what... It turned out that I had inflamed spleen, I was shocked. Everything she did was so professional. Also, I liked the staff- they were nice:) Also, I really appreciate the great discount Dr.Khidekel gave me. So back to Doctor Khidekel, she gave me the correct diagnosis, even without a blood test. But anyway she sends me for the blood test, to confirm the diagnosis. And of course, she gave me a prescription for different antibiotics than from what I've been taking. On the next morning, I felt alive again:) ...Again I'm so thankful to Irina The way I see it- is I'm making Dr.Khidekel my primary Doctor! P.S.: about two weeks ago I received a bill from SF General Hospital of an amount of $4000 that I had to pay. Again all they did was giving me some sore throat relieve drink and a prescription. We scheduled an appointment at 2 pm with this doctor, received confirmation via email, and when we brought our 1,5 year old kid to the office, it turns out that the doctor is not at the office this day, and the office stuff didn't even call us. Dr Khidekel is amazing!! She is so patient, kind, and knows her stuff. We have been seeing her for 8 years. I don't understand the other bad reviews, it seems like one or two strange situations with their children caused some people to blame it on their doctor. Dr Khidekel is a great listener, asks a ton of questions, remembers your past history and is SO NICE to my kids. My kids get excited to see her-- I don't know of any kids who actually wanted to get shots, but Dr K and Lana make it a nice experience! Think about that. Dr Khidekel is a gem-- a rare find in San francisco and her staff is excellent too. I never have a problem getting in if my child is sick, dr Khidekel always fits me in. One more thing that impresses me: Dr Khidekel will often seek alternative paths to healing before dishing out drugs or antibiotics. She's a big believer of probiotics, and alternative forms of healing too. She's wonderful! read more

Pretty terrible in all aspects. Though I am a Russian-speaker & won't have the problems some ppl reported here before (like incomprehensible English), Dr. Khidekel is pretty impressive in her total indifference & incompetence at the same time. She prescribed some wrong shots (like tried to repeat vaccination we already had), did not return a call when we had a pretty urgent situation, & overall sounded like the person who is not confident in her field. Her assistant is ok, but ok assistant is not enough really. I'd really discourage anybody from entrusting their little one to Dr. Khidekel. read more
