Pulled up to the shop 30 minutes before closing to find a sign on the door: "Back in 15".....while waiting several people pulled up and left due to the sign. Then some lady in a white car parks inches from my driver side door so it could not be opened. The lady rolls down her car window and proceeds to start yelling at me saying this is her store and I need to move so she can park. Even though I was parked normally. Who was this lady that started yelling at me? What kind of person owns a store and yells at customers waiting patiently while whoever is running it is away for some time? This Pahoa store sucks. That lady sucks. I did not interact with her, I just left. I have no energy for absolute jerks and my money can be spent somewhere else. Just went to Black Lava where prices are cheaper and people are nicer. The Irie in Pahoa is a toilet bowl. Dirty, smelly, and very unfriendly. Its probably a good idea to just close the Pahoa location or get better people there. read more

Been making my own cigarettes for about 5 years. Live between this store and Orchidland Tru-Value so I shop at whichever is convenient. Had some problems with this store a few years ago, and they are now giving receipts and have stabilized the rewards program. Despite feedback that the cashiers are NOT stoned, ha ha dude, they ARE, but it's ok now that they're giving receipts. HOWEVER I've had problems with the quality of their tobacco several times now. When you buy a pound of tobacco for $35, you expect to be able to make cigarettes with it. But 2 out of the last 3 times I've bought tobacco there, the tobacco was "off" in that it was not the right consistency or moisture level to make cigarettes in my top-o-matic machine. Ruined a lot of cigs, wasted a lot of effort, very frustrating. Maybe they're not storing it properly? It's just weird that I've never had a problem with Orchidland tobacco, and they're a hardware store?! Ok whatevs, you all focus on your Kratom and pipes biz, but tobacco smokers beware. read more

Ok guys I waited until I could honestly give you a 5* rating. It hasn't always been that way example: you used to have an employee who played nasty (I mean really nasty, over the top way nasty) rap. He would also gear any conversation to his political views, disrespecting anyone who didn't agree with him by insinuating they were not as intelligent as he was. You all know who I'm talking about. Thankfully, he was smart enough to gain employment elsewhere. Your staff now is over the top, friendly and knowledgeable. It's a pleasure to do business again thanks to Jose and his awesome staff. First time to this location. It was an awesome experience. I'm from Pahoa and very familiar with the area. My dad is a regular and gets all his supplies there. I walked in and was greeted with a "Howzit, Let me know if you need any help", which says all right there. A top notch customer service and knowledgeable of everything there. If they don't have items in stock, they will let you know when the next shipment will be for arrival. They have a wide selection of everything you're looking for. Pipes, tobacco, vapes, etc. I find it amazing that they carry a lot of the local apparel too. Will definitely be back and check out some of their new arrivals. read more

Terrible customer service. Was not greeted. Just asked what I wanted. Associates friend kept opening door and yelling inside to interrupt and they would ignore me and respond to them. And come back and say nothing and wait for me to continue saying what I would like. Finally made it to the register and proceeded to be interrupted again. Had to tell them I wanted to use my number for points. Only things said to me was the price and sign this. Was not offered or given a receipt. Was not told thank you or bye. Just stared at until I grabbed my purchased items and left after awkwardly waiting for a receipt or confirmation or a simple thank you. read more

Been coming here for the last 3 years when I'm in town to visit my mother in law and they're awesome. Always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very diverse store, I usually enjoy going in there not just to get my tobacco supplies but to look at all the wonderful things on offer. I like most people do not like to spend there money in a store were they are spoken to rudely and are disrespected by some one that is young enough to be one of there children, What a shame I did think this store would only get bigger and better.
