Great experiences each time with people that care about customer service. It's really nice to see a shop supporting local artists and pieces that are great quality. My friends have always been there for me, especially in my time of need, and I wanted to find a way to thank them for all of their kindness. While there were many things I could have purchased them, I wanted to select a present that had the greatest utility so I decided to purchase them water pipes for Christmas. When I strolled into Irie Coast Smoke Shop I was immediately greeted by Paul who was happy to be working on Christmas Eve. The unique thing about Paul compared to other sales representatives I have encountered is that he genuinely wanted to help us find water pipes that matched what we were looking for. After only a short period of time, Paul helped us find two water pipes that were a perfect fit and I purchased both of them. As if Paul's help was not enough, he decided to discount the purchase and gave us an assortment of papers. Paul's helpfulness and professionalism were exemplary. I do not frequent many smoke shops, but I do know how challenging it can be to find hard working employees. My boyfriend and I have been going here for a couple years now. First time going we got one water pipe each. We tend to be clumsy (they are not cheaply made, one was about 10mm thick) and have dogs so we tend to need one every 6 moths or so lol we have probably gotten a total of 5 and they have always been such good prices, they totally work with you, there is such a selection, and good quality. It use to be called Blues Brothers which I was not a big fan of, but I believe the ownership changed and man since the change a couple years ago the place is completely different now , for the better. I have been to many other smoke shops and by far this place is my favorite. The people who work there are cool as hell and very helpful and knowledgeable about their products. They have a lot of great products and are on top of receiving the latest products in their store. I highly recommend checking out this place. I have been coming here for over 5 years and been a great customer, really have not been to other places in SD. I called to get the price of an item I had my eye on and now they can't share prices over the phone? They said a local smoke shop has been price gouging them so they can't share prices anymore. I live about 30 minutes away and don't want to waste my time driving to the shop so I can know how much I need for my next purchase. That's just a bad policy IMO, stand behind your shop, your pricing and your customer service. You are doing a disservice to your customers because local competition is selling stuff at a lower price? I would have happily payed more at IC due to the great welcome I always get when I come in. Your customer service has always been great, selection on point and I'm always happy when iBut not sharing prices over the phone is a huge inconvenience for some of us, especially during Covid. read more

Best spot to hit up for all your irie needs in northern sd. They literally have everything and they're all decently priced. I've been going to this shop since the early 2000s. Nice to see their remodel of the inside. Products are amazing though! The staff is very knowledgeable on their products. I went in there yesterday looking for a detox drink but they suggested something that was better and cheaper! I'll continue to use this shop for as long as they stand. Used to be a chill place but idk... things here turned sour not too long ago. I occasionally come back to this shop because I love staring at their glass collection & the lighters right by the register are my all time fav, but the only problem for me really is the staff. I get the strangest feeling/vibe from them, ALWAYS. They always seem impatient or unwilling to want to truly help out the customer with their questions. I've felt uncomfortable around them multiple times (maybe they're just SUPER baked?). I'm not sure if the owner is even aware of this issue at all, but this account was created solely for this post. Staff is intoxicated on god knows what, and can barely function/carry an in depth conversation on glass blowing, hemp wick, etc! If the owner is reading this I'm sure you're already aware of the problem with your staff, just a shame you didn't act ASAP to WEED out the shit from your awesome store. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would!!! I have never been so disappointed I nearly left this place in tears .. So I've been coming here for a while I shop in the vape section though .. They keep selling me bad coils for my tanks . Not even the proper coil and when I go back to tell them they don't do anything about it "sorry to bad " and send me away. They also are WAY OVERPRICED . They sold me a terrible tank for 65$ and online it's being sold between 17-25$ MAJOR RIP OFF. This tank did not work at all when I went to return it they basically told me too bad and sent me away. The owner and his gf are always messed up either high on weed or some other drugs who knows but they can't think straight.. You can barley see their eyes they can't even keep them open when they talk to you. They don't even know what they are talking about when it comes to product knowledge. DO NOT COME HERE major rip off way better places to get vape stuff and even glass .. All the employees are super nice with great customer service except the owner he is a jerk who doesn't care about making the customer happy all he cares about is getting his money in his pocket .
