She is thee best it's a visual treat to walk into her shop and no matter what it's like outside it's warm and welcoming at Rheas beyond the great quality and selection. There's wonderful aroma to breathe in the second you open the door. Something that just can't be bottled, nature at it's best, makes me smile anyways. My family has purchased everything from wedding flowers, funeral arrangements to the boutonnière and the corsage I brought my date at my high school graduation. Today I was in and purchased a wonderful Christmas wreath for my Grandparents grave. I always like to get something unique like my Baba and this year Rhea suggested one with Magnolias blossoms w/leaves and pine cones. Perfect! The owner is a wonderful woman wrapped my wreath in cellophane and attach to a wreath stand (to protect it from the weather) all I had to do was push it into the ground at the cemetery. What more could I ask? There's always a great variety of house plants too so I like to pick up a little treat for myself. Today I purchased a Japanese fern for only $8 I'd recommend anyone needing Christmas arrangements to make their way to Rheas quick!

The prices are a bit high, but it's the quality that you pay for. They have the most beautiful flower shop. It's almost as if your walking into the garden of Eden. They decorate so beautifully. Nothing crazy and overtly flashy. The younger daughter does a beautiful classic decor for my annual Lillie's. I highly rec commend using them for any sort of delivery or gift. Every person on the staff is extremely polite and will help you if you let them know what you need. M.

I am so happy with my order from Cool Green & Shady! I was looking for Valentine's Day flowers for…read morea best friend. I wanted something that wasn't too flashy since it isn't a romantic relationship but at the same time wasn't too simple. I landed on the website for Cool Green & Shady and I could tell immediately that this would work. All of their arrangements appear to be custom and NOT the generic Teleflora offerings. There are sections for types of occasions. There Valentine's section really had something for everyone at different price points, in vases, in boxes, etc. I settled on the 'Puppy Love' which had really uniquely shaped greens with a few roses to fit that V-Day theme. The site includes a lot of detail about each of the arrangements so the one I chose is really only meant to be optimally displayed from one side which was interesting. Also they do mention that they will make substitutes if any of the components are not available. I was able to leave a small message with the flowers at no extra cost. At check-out, I was able to select goodies like different types of chocolates to add, so I wound up adding a chocolate lollipop. This was obviously a surprise so I didn't give my friend a heads-up on the delivery. She has a tendency to ignore callers she doesn't know so the delivery driver had to ring a few times before she finally answered. I'm so glad they were persistent so she could get her flower delivery! They didn't wind up making any substitutions for her flowers and they looked beautiful! Will definitely order from here again.

My husband and I began our search for a florist about a year before our wedding date and decided, despite the advice of our wedding planner, to just go with a family friend. As the wedding day approached we began to realize we absolutely needed a professional florist. Our lax approach to florals quickly turned into a nightmare, we were two weeks away from the big day and had to tell the family friend that it just wasn't working out. Thankfully, our wedding planner connected us with Amber who was able to squeeze us into her busy fall schedule. We loved the first sample images she sent over and knew, right away that our day would be saved! Amber was so professional and replied to emails right away. We were stressed enough as it was and she made this process a lot easier for us. Walking in to our ceremony space and reception room for the first time took my breath away. Amber and her team went above and beyond, I knew everything would look great I just had no idea how great! We received so many compliments and guests were practically fighting over who got to take the centre piece home! We cannot thank Amber and her team enough!

A few things I will touch on in this review: 1. Payment…read more2. What was advertised and what was delivered 3. Flower freshness 1. Several days prior to Mother's Day, I placed an order on Freshland's website for a bouquet ($88 after fees). Since I was opting for pick-up instead of delivery, I selected the payment method of "in-store". A couple of days later, I received a call from an employee asking for my credit card information so that they could process the payment before making my order. This call was unexpected, and I asked if there was another way I could pay because I wasn't comfortable reading anything off over the phone. They allowed me to send an e-transfer instead, which was an OK alternative. While I can understand that processes have changed under COVID guidelines, having an "in-store" payment option online with no indication that we will be called and asked for card information is a bit of an unpleasant shock. 2. Yesterday, I picked up my flower arrangement and it so poorly resembled what I ordered on the website. Understandably, Mother's Day is a busy time for florists and with stock limitations, some substitutions are necessary. HOWEVER, what I received did not at all resemble the arrangement advertised - I have attached photos so you can make the call for yourself. Less subtle differences to call out: no succulent (just a bunch of leaves in the shape of a succulent lol), SIZE, colour way (but ok, substitutions maybe? This can slide). It's pretty, but it's not what I ordered and paid for. 3. Flower freshness. Most of the flowers came fully bloomed so we knew immediately the arrangement wouldn't last very long. Some petals were starting to brown and wilt, and today (the day after pick-up) some petals have fallen out already. The arrangement costed over $88 after tax, and was underwhelming. I tried really hard to convince myself I liked it, but after showing photos to a friend who used to work in a flower shop I knew a review was imminent. I'm disappointed that this was my experience with Freshland because I've had excellent experiences with shops in downtown Toronto and have been looking for a business closer to home to support. The search continues.

From the moment I made the call, Orchid Florist was attentive and compassionate, guiding me through the selection process with patience and care. They ensured on-time delivery with the email confirmation. This extra step (the email confirmation), gave us peace of mind during a time of great stress and uncertainty. The flower arrangements they provided were not only beautiful but also a true testament to their dedication to their craft. The flowers were incredibly fresh and vibrant, and they added a touch of beauty and elegance to the service that was deeply appreciated by our family and friends. I was simply amazed by the quality of their flower arrangements. Even after two days, as we gathered for the burial service, the flowers retained their stunning beauty and freshness. During such a challenging time, it's reassuring to know that there are businesses like Orchid Florist that genuinely care about their customers and the quality of their work. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone seeking not only beautiful flowers but also professional and reliable service.
