(No Big Deal) I never got an estimate. He just started to work and I was fine with that. The plumber was in and out of our condo for a total of 45 minutes, then another 15 minutes outside, I assume making out the bill. The bill was $355. When I asked about the charges he said my job was a (TASK) job. One of the $135 "tasks" was to attach my disposal. (5 minutes) The truck was in the parking lot quite a while after the job was done, and he was paid. If you deal with these people get your estimate in writing.

They pulled a crew from a job at someone else's house nearby to come and get the fire hydrant shooting off in my front yard shut off. They were there and had the water off less than 10 minutes after my phone call. They got a new backflow and installed it today. After some delay due to the excitement, I headed off to work and came home to a brand new backflow, perfectly installed, water restored to my home--all at a reasonable price. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional and reassuring, which is wonderful when you suddenly have water spraying all over the place when it shouldn't be.
