Irby's was in walking distance from our hotel in Buckhead. We were looking for a spot to watch the NCAA tournament and this place was perfect. It was busy but we were able to sit at the bar. I had a great experience at Irby's Tavern. Irby's is the perfect spot if you are looking to have typical bar food, drinks, and atmosphere. The outdoor area is a great plus with multiple tvs for watching whatever games might be on. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food is just what you would expect (I mean you cant REALLY screw up fried food right...) and was all delicious. We got the buffalo tots, queso, and the chicken caesar wrap. Parking here is horrible. They have a small lot that can fit maybe a dozen cars. The lots beside them are private parking or pay for parking. I found street parking a small distance away. Bar is in the middle of the establishment with plenty of seating. The staff are really nice but extremely busy. They probably need more staff but the ones here are trying their best. Trivia night was pretty fun. They gave gift cards to everyone that participated. Questions were a mix of easy and challenging. DJ/host was pretty fun. Burger was delicious. I got the Bo Sharkley. It is a burger seasoned with cajun seasoning and topped with blue cheese crumbles. Fries were good. I tried the queso fries and regular fries. Neither are worth writing home about. The queso fries were more flavorful and filling. Drinks were interesting. The bar specials are blah. The bartender made me a specialty drink which was strong and tasty. For the most part this spot is your standard neighborood bar/sports bar. Parking can be a bit challenging as they have a very small lot out front but there are paid street parking spots and paid public parking decks in the surrounding area. Sat at the bar and ordered the Big Mark. It's essentially their version of a Big Mac and it had American cheese, lettuce, diced onion, and Irby's special sauce on a sesame bun (with the additional piece of bread in between). I added tomatoes to mine and got it with a side of Tater Tots and everything was delicious! It was fairly empty inside when I went, but the bartender was friendly and patient which was good. I love this little bar. I order takeout at least once a week from here lol I finally went in person last week and said I'd have to dine in more. It has a patio seating area which is nice. A few beer selections on draft. The fries are sooooo good! I usually get a buffalo chicken wrap. They're super consistent in providing the same quality of meals. I tried the club sandwich last week dining in. Very filling. Too much mayo for my preference but still tasty. My friend got the shrimp basket. He loved the fries as well. Not a fancy bar but good cheap eats with a comfortable space to watch tv and games. And they have parking! This place was recommended to me. I arrived via Uber at 11:00pm (their website says they're open until 12:00 weekdays). Door was locked and Uber had left. I knocked on the door to ask if I could stand inside and wait for an Uber and was basically to told to "get lost". Uber took 23 minutes so I stood in their parking lot in a light jacket in 20 degree weather until the car arrived. My hands went numb. Literally incomprehensible. A pleasant surprise while visiting Atlanta on a recent business trip. The French dip was delicious, French fries wonderful, service very good. I am so thoroughly impressed with my lunch here and the place overall. First of all, the burger was incredible. I did the double with two smash patties which also came with bacon and jalapenos. I have to say whatever bacon they use is top notch. It was thick. Sliced center cut. Perfect smoke on it and flavor. I also can't say enough about the produce that was on the burger because it was so fresh and crisp that I would think they had a garden out back if I didn't know better. Fries are also excellent. It was a nice fry that was crispy that had some skin on and perfect amount of salt on there too. All the staff are super friendly and nice and the place is gorgeous on the inside without being pretentious which is a bit unusual and buckhead but I love it. It was our anniversary weekend and had done a staycation at the Sylvan (read my review of that 5.0). Needless to say a burger was much needed after the night we had. The burger is smaller than McDonald's. But more than that was the wait. It took about 45 minutes before we started asking about our food. And we asked several times. Finally burger and fries. Nope. Fries were cold and guess what the jalapeño burger hubby ordered had no jalapeños. Finally a manger walks over to apologize stating they would adjust the bill and get us new fries. So Finally we're finished with the non exciting food and the bill comes. Our sodas were free and 20% off the bill. Whatever. The bar atmosphere is good. Irby's Tavern is a spacious sports bar with a lot of TVs and indoor/outdoor seating. My friend and I stopped in for a drink while visiting Buckhead Village. It's a short walk across from the Village and they do validate parking so that's a plus. We came on a Saturday night and it does get very loud as the night goes on--difficult to have a conversation. Our waiter was very nice and friendly but the drinks were lackluster. I noticed the restaurant really needs a good deep clean especially on the wall benches. For a sports bar, this place deserves 5 stars. It is exactly what it claims to be. AMPLE TV's and the friendliest staff who will quickly and efficiently put on your game of choice. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. We've been here a few times and they have a good selection of beers as well as specials on buckets. The food, I must say is good. Don't come here if you're looking for fine dining or a plethora of healthy options, but for watching the game and leaving feeling full it's perfect. The French dip is delicious and we've also had the pretzels with beer cheese which were yummy. The wings are very good. They have always been cooked well and the Kathy Ireland circa 1991 hot sauce is delicious if you like spicy! What a great little place. Slight hole in the wall, sports bar, neighborhood hangout spot with great food, atmosphere, and people. Everyone on the staff is extremely friendly and fun. They are all welcoming and helpful. Lots of televisions all over, with large ones on the heated patio. Just a couple of wing flavors and my favorite is the Hot Lemon Pepper. Meaty and tasty. Also, the Steak Philly is soo delicious. Not a lot of parking but they validate if you park in the deck at the Buckhead Shops. Lastly, the nachos are prepared right. The 1-star is because the OWNER of this place, essentially a dive bar, on the opening night of the 2024 World Series, saw that my work colleague was a fan of the team that won in the tenth inning and got completely in his face screaming expletives at him and, on top of it, yelled over and over like a madman that Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers was nothing but a f*****g f**g*t and completely berated my colleague and challenged him to a fight!! This was only because my colleague was from LA and happy that the Dodgers won! Owner acted out like a complete unhinged psychopath. When the owner then stepped behind the bar and continued with his idiot rant, my colleague asked the lady bartender who this guy is, if he works here. The owner then screamed "this is MY place bi*ch and you can kiss my ass!" My colleague tried to diffuse him by saying "Calm down! Why are you so mad?" Owner then lit back off in his screaming tirade again, like a baby. The remaining patrons were dumbfounded and weren't sure what to do. I settled up my tab and my colleague's tab with the lady working as a bartender and she was profusely apologizing, completely embarrassed. I told her that whenever her boss sobers up she might want to tell him that as a business owner he's a complete idiot and this is how his business will ultimately fail. She just shook her head and looked down in humiliation. The owner's wife was sitting in the corner blowing up Halloween balloons. I had spoken with her earlier and she was very friendly. After his tirade, I looked her way and she said that the owner was actually her husband, then the owner said "Yeah! Unfortunately!" WOW! poor lady. She then said this was actually their bar and she apologized for him. I told her that her husband was out of control and he needs to get a grip. If he can't even be an adult and behave correctly in his own business he will eventually lose it. On a side note the cheesesteak was very good. The fries greasy, not great. Also, one of the bartenders who had left earlier, a very nice guy, made an amazing Old Fashioned that I would return for. However, because of this hillbilly owner, whatever his name is, being a certifiable nutcase and actually a dangerous psychopath when he drinks, there is no way in the world I would ever return and give this business another dollar.. No kidding, I thought at first it was just a good-humored, bantering yell-fest typical of sports bars, but then, when he got in my colleague's face, spit flying out of his mouth, challenging my colleague to fight simply because he was happy that the LA Dodgers won and that Freeman (a former Atlanta Braves player) made the winning play, I was now going to have to risk getting injured by jumping into the middle of some dumbass fight instigated by some idiot Neanderthal, the business owner, of all people. Irby's is a fairly new sports bar located on East Paces Ferry in the hear of Buckhead. You have to be looking for it or in the know, as they place sneaks up on you a little bit when driving down the road. It sits between a pet grooming place and a Greek restaurant. Upon arrival, I did notice that the parking situation is a little tough here, but not bad enough to discourage our visit. I read a lot of reviews and the one thing that seems to be a trend was the service, or lack there of for people. Speaking to service, we had no issues and had an enjoyable visit from start to finish. We went on a decently busy evening and first ventured inside to potentially sit at the bar, but decided to take advantage of the great patio. We were able to seat ourselves and were quickly welcomed by a server. She was attentive and helpful our entire visit, so seeing most of these negative reviews were prior to our visit, maybe this means they listened and buttoned it up some! Food wise, the menu featured an array of options from the normal bar foods such as wings and burgers to specialty items such as fire roast Brussel sprouts and pork chops. If these don't get your belly going, maybe try some of their Garbage Bread! I personally ended up with some mild wings. The wings were on the smaller side and the sauce was a tad thin for my liking, but overall they were decent wings. I sided them with the brussels and boy am I glad I did! These things were fire roasted with a teriyaki glaze and included thinly sliced fresno chilis. It sounds odd, but it oddly worked...really well! As this is a bar, we did have drinks and they were just as we would have hoped...strong, tasty and delivered in a reasonable amount of time! They have a pretty legit beer list, however we both went the route of classic cocktails, which was a good choice given the patio and food we ordered. Overall, Irby's seems to be a cool addition to the neighborhood. It seems to be a great place to catch a game at and also can be a nice chill date spot. We will certainly be back! read more

I went to place for just one drink and ended up staying all night to watch the game. I had an amazing time. I was able to play Fanatsy Sports DFS on an Ultimate DFS kiosks. I end up winning $300 on a $10 contest and I was able to cash out at location and pay for my bill for the night. The staff was amazing and the wings were the best I ever had. We get 2 separate bills. I pay both. I put ZERO tip on one bill and $10 on the other. Why I check my account this morning and the bartender added a $10 tip to both of the tickets. This place is a nice hole in the wall. The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The drinks and food are hit or misses! Nice out door seating as well! They are also pup friendly! Their COVID-19 operations are not perfect but they are doing more than most places. They are seating everyone 6ft apart, even if that means taking less customers. That's shows they put customers first, and that's enough to keep me coming back! Overall, if the drinks were a tad more consistent and the food orders didn't always seem to be wrong, I would have given them a 5start! We came here on a Saturday night looking for food, and yelp brought us to Irby's Tavern. It was only around 9pm but this place was PACKED. So packed in fact that we were planning to stay and eat but it was standing room only. The interior of Irby's is pretty clean with a nice sized bar and screens all over the place with the latest sporting events. A UFC fight was playing when we visited. THere's also outdoor seating...with that said, parking is not plentiful here, maybe being able to hold about 10 or so cars, so consider that when you come. So how about the food?? This is what we got! Big Mark double burger ($12) 10 wings (lemon pepper) ($12) When I ordered the Big Mark, I honestly just thought it was a big burger and someone at Irby's was named mark. It wasn't until we got the burger that we realized this was a pretty tasty copy of the Big Mac (get it?? Big Mark??). Coming with american cheese, lettuce, pickles, onions and special sauce, it's a good burger all on a sesame seed bun. The burger came with fries that are house cut, and while these were salted, they were really just okay fries...i.e nothing special. The wings we got were lemon pepper and they slow roast their wings first to keep them moist, before flash frying them. The wings ARE crispy, but here's the thing...the wings TASTE like fried rotisserie chicken. It's not the best wing and in fact, they're just okay. The wings come with your choice of blue cheese or ranch dressing, and you can get celery or carrots (or get a combo of each). Customer service here was hit or miss. The initial greeter kept saying to us she'd help us in a second, but was never any help, and really I took it upon myself to just walk to the bar instead of waiting on her. The bartender on the other hand was super helpful. FYI, if you do not want a double burger, you have to ask for a single. This is a new feature for their menu and if you don't ask, they'll just have the double burger prepared for you. This worked out for us because we ultimately shared the burger. I can see the appeal of Irby's Tavern. It's packed and filled with pretty people and between decent bar food, tons of drinks, fun bar tenders and a gang of TV screens, you could stick around well into 2 am when Irby's closes. Here's the thing.....the food was just okay at best, and that's my rating. 3 stars, is A-OK with me, and so is Irby's Tavern. read more

Seating was very prompt, was not busy at all that evening. Service was good. Now, the food. Started with a house salad, no complaints. I had the shrimp basket and fries for an entree. Shrimp had so much batter and many were stuck together. Fries were way too salty. They add large flake type salt you'd have on a pretzel and was not good imo. May try again in the future, but not running back anytime soon. read more
