The staff were most helpful. I even had time to browse around the store. Some of the staff were new and eager to help!

Neve's has never disappointed me. I shop here for uniforms and such every time I'm in Albuquerque,…read moreand I've never had a bad experience. Granted, pants are impossible to find in the most common size (34x30), so that's a pain in the neck, but there are tailors on-site who can make the clothes fit perfectly for you, often in just a matter of minutes. I can't speak for their selection of duty gear, since I usually just buy my kit online, but the clothing is where it really comes together. Pricing is typical of what you'd expect to pay for this stuff, so if you're looking to save a few bucks on 5.11 gear and things like that, Neve's is not the place to go, but if you need it now and need it bad, they will not let you down.

These people seem to nearly have a monopoly on the uniform business and they do have a really large…read moreselection. It seems to be where cops hang out when they have nothing better to do. I stop by when I am in the neighborhood to see what is on special. They had a rack of shirts marked 1/2 price. I looked through them, guess what, nothing had prices on it other than one shirt. Brought it up to the counter and asked them if the price was the before or after the 1/2 price. Seems if they weren't marking the merchandise, it would be the full price, but no, it was the half price, or so they said. It was a police officer shirt made by 5.11. Was excited to see a tag on it said I could send in the tag and receipt for $10 off my next 5.11 purchase. Unfortunately it had to be mailed in before some date in 2011. Oh well. I was helping an APD police officer buy a Glock 43 and he told me he had one on backorder at Neve's. I thought that was odd as I didn't even know they sold guns. Turns out they are a Glock LE Distributor. Thought I would look around to find their gun department. A clerk commented that I looked lost. Said I was looking for their gun department and she said "this is it". Referring to the display case in front of her. It was about a 8' display case that was 75% knives and maybe 2 feet of Glocks. Probably had about 8-9 guns in the case. Commented they only had Glock and she said they were a Glock dealer which I knew, but that doesn't preclude selling other brands but I didn't figure it would help much pointing that out. A side note regarding the Glocks. To help my client, the APD officer, I did some research and found another local "Blue" dealer who happens to buy guns from a distributor I use who has a LOT of the model he was looking for. I told the officer that he should cancel his order with Neve's and buy one from the other dealer. He contacted the other dealer and they said they were out and couldn't get any for a month....huh??? I am guessing he is buying them from the same place as Neve's which is out and why he doesn't get them in from the other distributor makes no sense. The officer ended up buying one retail which cost him about $75 more than the "blue" price. I try to help LE and was sorry to hear he wasted $75. If you are looking for uniforms and want to pay retail, check out Neve's, or maybe luck out and find something on sale, even though the prices aren't marked so you have to wait in line to ask them what the price is. If you can wait a couple days, I would suggest buying 5.11 and other popular uniform brands on the net. Cheaper, no sales tax, and you can get them in a couple days.
